Shi Won’s eyes abruptly opened and her body tensed up when she heard the doorbell ring.
‘Who in the world would ring the doorbell at this hour… Hiik! No way!!’
She immediately got up from her bed and looked at the video camera to see who was at the door.
“Omo! What are you doing?! Why did you come here?!!”
She was surprised to see Manager Moon’s handsome face pop up on the camera.
*Knock knock knock*
Manager Moon began knocking on the door.
*Knock knock knock*
As she heard him knocking, she ran to her bathroom.
She frantically washed her hair, her face, and looked in the mirror to make sure she looked fine.
For some reason, she had the strong feeling that she had to brush her teeth, so she squeezed out some toothpaste and began brushing her teeth.
*Ding Dong*
She began to get increasingly nervous as Manager Moon kept on knocking the door and ringing the doorbell.
She saw a face mask on her table.
‘That’s the answer right now.’
She opened the packet, took out the face mask, and put it on. She examined herself in the mirror and thought, ‘I definitely look at lot better than before.’
“Just a minute.”
She took one last look in the mirror to inspect herself and went to open the door.
‘Compare to face, my appearance looks okay.’
*Click*
She saw Manager Moon’s worrisome face and eyes.
As soon as opened door, he barged in and looked at her.
“Do you get sick a lot? Why did you take so long to open the door? I was worried.”
‘You would have been surprised if you saw me in that state…’
“I was sleeping…”
“Look at me.”
Manager Moon put his hand on her forehead.
“Do you have fever? It’s not that hot…”
“I took Tylenol, I’m fine.”
When he touched her forehead, her lips trembled a bit.
“I was worried about you.”
“I said I’m all right. Anyway, did you finish your work today?”
“Yes, I hurried here as soon as I was done.”
Shi Won stared Manager Moon’s lips which curved up into a smile.
“Hum Hum.”
Shi Won was embarrassed so she turned her eyes toward the entrance.
“I woke you up while you were sleeping. You should go in and get some rest.”
“You just came here just because I am sick?”
“No.”
‘What? You were worried about me; what are you talking about?’
“I planned to come over even if you weren’t sick.”
“What? Why?”
‘Why did he want to come here so late?’
“Why? Of course I wanted to see you. If I didn’t see you, I might have gotten sick.”
“…”
His mischievous smile made her heart race.
“Manager Moon…”
“Yes”
“Tell me the truth.”
“What? What are you talking about?”
“You go to school right?”
“What?”
“Otherwise there’s no possible way…”
“School? What school?”
‘The type of school where they teach you how to make a girl’s heart race. Or where they teach you exactly the thing to say to make a girl happy.’
Manager Moon looked at her with an expression as if he didn’t know what in the world she was talking about.
“Nevermind. I’m just rambling.”
“What…”
“You should go home now. I bet you’re more tired than I am.”
She saw his tired expression and told him to go home for his sake.
“But can’t you let me see your face just for a little bit before I go? Please?”
Manager Moon dexterously used his fingers to try to lift the face mask off of Shi Won’s face.
“Ah!! NO!!”
She yelled out in surprise and stopped him.
Manager Moon chuckled at her reaction. As he wasn’t able to see her face, he regretfully asked, “Why?”
“This… Right now… my face is a mess.”
Manager Moon nonchalantly shrugged his shoulders.
“I don’t care if you look like a mess. Don’t you see me everyday looking like a slob?”
‘Ah… now that he says that I gained some more confidence.
‘But still, I can’t show him! Why? Because I’m a girl!’
“But this time I can’t. Never!”
“Keke.”
Manager Moon covered his laugh with his hand.
“Then can you at least give me a hug?”
“Ah…”
“Is that alright?”
“I’m… not going to answer you.”
Manager Moon knew that she meant yes and moved in to hug her.
She went into his chest as he placed his chin on her shoulder and wrapped her arms around his waist.
She felt much better in his arms because she was sick and it was comforting to be in his embrace.
He embraced her tightly and he suddenly placed his face next to the side of her neck.
“Haa..”
She felt his hot breath on her body and this made her body burn even more.
Without realizing her condition, he dabbed his cheeks in her neck and stopped moving.
“Hur Hur…”
“Why?”
“No….Nothing.”
She could feel his heart racing in his chest.
After a while, Manager Moon raised the upper body leaning against her and he smiled slightly at her face.
“I think I can finally live and feel a little bit better now.”
‘It’s nice to hear that he is alive but I feel like he’s kind of provoking me.’
“A little bit?”
“Yes”
“Huh.”
“Why, are you disappointed?”
“No, I’m not disappointed.”
“Oh, ok.”
*Muah*
Manager Moon lowered her mask that covered her face and he kissed her lips quickly.
Then he quickly put the mask back in place.
*Mung~*
“What…. what did you do?”
“What did I do? It’s not perfect, but I’m gonna live a little more than a minute ago.”
“Did you see?”
“What did I see?”
“My face.”
“No, I couldn’t see your face because I was kissing you.”
“…..”
“However, can’t you leave me alone? I’m so tired now….”
Manager Moon looked down at her with a regretful expression.
He slowly pulled her back around her and shot her a pitiful expression.
Once again, her mind was conflicted on what to do.
“The-then, do it with your eyes closed.”
“Okay, I’ll do that.”
“You must not open your eyes.”
“Yes. I understand.”
“Hurry and close your eyes. I’ll do it.”
He was surprised when she heard him say that she’d be the one to initiate but he still closed his eyes.
Shi Won slightly lowered her mask and tiptoed on her feet and touched his lips with hers.
Manager Moon sucked on her lips and she felt his hot breath in her mouth.
At his sudden action, Shi Won’s eyes widened and saw that his eyes were already open as their eyes met.
‘Liar.’
But she couldn’t stop now. Although her face was a mess, she felt good.
‘I don’t know what to do now. Don’t come crying to me if you get sick…’

“Hello.”
“It’s a good morning. Assistant Manager Han.”
“Hmm… I’m so exhausted because of the picnic.”
Everyone was feeling the same.
Everyone who went to the picnic was all exhausted.
But the person who was the most exhausted was Shi Won.
Although she was sick, because of Manager Moon, she spent too much time and energy with him last night.
If Shi Won didn’t push him away to stop, he probably would’ve have kissed her all night long.
“You came?”
“Yes. Good morning. Manager Moon.”
For the first time he was the one to greet her so Shi Won greeted him from the corner of her eye in order to make it
seem like nothing was unusual to the other co-workers.
She was drinking a vanilla latte again and it made her lips more sore.
She first opened up the messenger app on her computer.
[You overdid it yesterday! I’m so tired right now.]
*Pishik*
She heard him snicker behind her.
[Really? I feel like I can fly right now.]
‘This man, seriously…’
[I won’t care when you say that you feel like dying.]
She heard him typing on his keyboard.
[I’m sad. Was I the only one to enjoy it last night?]
‘Of course not! This man is making me speechless.’
[Anyway. Next time do it softly.] [I’ll try my best. But I can’t guarantee anything.]
At this last message, Shi Won folded her arms and stared at the screen.
[I’m still holding back a lot right now. So don’t provoke me.]
Seeing him type this, she became embarrassed. She quickly closed the messenger and opened a word file that wasn’t
related to work.

Manager Moon stood in front of the elevator staring at his phone waiting for the elevator to arrive.
As he was looking at his phone, he smiled as if he was in a good mood.
It was the picture of Shi Won back at the lake holding a flower while smiling beautifully.
He remembered when she was so excited and happy, telling him to hurry over to see those flowers and he couldn’t
help but have a smile on his face.
He heard footsteps coming along and so he quickly put away his phone.
“Hello, Manager.”
He turned his head and saw Assistant Manager Kim Do Hoon greet him.
“Yes. Hello.”
He greeted him back and turned his attention back to the elevator door.
“Something good happen to you?”
At his sudden question, Manager Moon glanced at him with a rigid expression.
“What are you talking about?”
“Oh, I saw you smiling at something earlier. I just felt that something good happened to you.”
“Ah, did it seem that way? Then I guess it was.”
Manager Moon didn’t want to talk to him so he just agreed and went silent.
“Did you have a good time that day? With Assistant Manager Han?”
“Yes.”
“Assistant Manager Han is pretty right?”
“…”
Assistant Manager Kim asked him like it wasn’t important but Manager Moon frowned slightly.
“Han Shi Won is very popular. There are many co-workers who are interested in her.”
“Why are you telling me this?”
Do Hoon just smiled by lifting his lips against Manager Moon’s unpleasant tone.
“Since you are asking like that, you don’t care. Do you?”
“….”
“I feel like there’s something between you guys, that’s why I was curious.”
“What’s the point in asking? Assistant Manager Kim?”
“It’s not asking but I’m just letting you know. I like Han Shi Won. She already knows.”
Manager Moon laughed at Do Hoon who staring at him with a serious face.
“So?”
“…”
“Do your best. And don’t tell me that you like Han Shi Won, you tell her yourself. You didn’t want me to deliver this message to her? I’m sorry I’m not interested.”
When the elevator door opened, Manager Moon got on the elevator.
“Assistant Manager Kim, aren’t you getting in?”
“Go ahead, I left something in the office.”
As soon as Assistant Manager Kim finished, Manager Moon pushed close button quickly.
As the elevator door closed, Assistant Manager Kim didn’t move at all and just looked at elevator door while
frowning.
Do Hoon left after a long time.
