Niu Guan Ning is swirling a glass of wine in his hands and sips it occasionally. Facing the floor to ceiling tinted glass, he's looking at the people on the dance floor downstairs. But his mind is out somewhere. He saw her, the moment she entered the store. He was captivated by her beauty. He got to find her and make her his as soon as possible. He smiled at that thought.
Guan Ning didn't even notice the man who entered the room.
"Guan? Hey, Guan!" the man snapped his fingers in front of Guan Ning that made him wake up from his reverie. He gave the man a cold stare.
"Su Bin, you really are an asshole!"
Su Bin looked puzzled, "What did I do? I just snapped my fingers to get your attention."
Guan Ning took a seat on the sofa and said, "Exactly!"
Su Bin scoffed and also sit on the couch in front of Guan Ning. He noticed that his friend is drinking some wine and asked, "Why wine? You changed preferences?"
Guan Ning nodded and added, "About a month ago."
"Okay," Su Bin said while he poured himself some wine.
Su Bin looked at Guan Ning across him. He could tell something is bothering his bestfriend.
"Bro, what is it?" he tried to ask.
"What?" Guan Ning said, not understanding what he meant.
"Come on, I know something is wrong." Su Bin noticed the moment he entered the room, his friend is in deep thought. Far from the Guan Ning he knew who is carefree. He also noticed that there were no girls inside.
"Nothing is wrong," Guan Ning said nonchalantly.
Su Bin just sighed and changed the topic. "By the way, what did this Wan Li have to do with you? Did he owe you something that you're even willing to sacrifice your beloved Audi for it?"
"None. He has something I want badly." Guan Ning said while setting down his glass on the coffee table and pulled out a cigarette from his pocket. He light it up.
Guan Ning offered the pack of cigarette to Su Bin, and accepted it. After taking a long drag, Su Bin asked, "Really? That bad?" he scoffed and continued, "You're not like that. The Guan Ning I know gets everything he wanted without even lifting a finger. Then, what is it?"
"My wife." Guan Ning said with all seriousness and then took a drag making perfect circles out of the smoke.
Su Bin, who is drinking from his wine, got choked, drenching himself and had a coughing fit.
"What the hell is wrong with you?! That's gross, man!" Guan Ning annoyingly said and passed him some paper towels.
Su Bin accepted the towels and cleaned himself. "What the fuck?! Am I just hearing things or what you said is really true? Are you serious?!" Su Bin can't really believe what he just said. He really is surprised.
"Dead serious. That's why I want you to find about that Wan Li for me. He's the key." Guan Ning said and downed his wine and poured himself another glass.
"But why all the hassle? After all, you are 'The Niu Guan Ning.' The Second Young Master of the Niu family. And come to think of it, it's a girl that you are after, you can have her. This is too easy, bro. I really think you don't need my help at all." Su Bin laid all the facts.
Guan Ning pursed his lips and then opened them and said, "I met her this afternoon at the bookstore. She's with this Wan Li."
Su Bin furrowed his brows. He's starting to have a headache. 'What the hell is this?!' he thought, confused. "You've met?! Don't tell me…"
"Hmm. They didn't recognized me." Guan Ning finished his sentence.
"WHAAAAT!!" Su Bin laughed at the top of his lungs. The corners of his eyes were starting to get watery. "What in the world!? What kind of people are they!? They must be living under a rock." he really is amused. He didn't notice his friend's face is as black as the bottom of a pot.
