It was in the middle of the night, in a large and magnificent mansion in the central district of the Kingdom of Stormrein. When a small explosion happened.

The mansion of the branch family of the Tudor. On a large wall, a small red jade suddenly cracked and burst into pieces.
The jade's explosion was loud enough to make everyone in the mansion heard it and wake them in their sleep. Everyone in the mansion paled. They all knew what that sound was. The explosion was made by these type of jade, called 'Soul Jades'.
If one were to drop his or her blood on to the tiny red jade, the jade and the blood owner's soul will connect. If he or she were to die, the red jade will automatically crack and burst into pieces. Before the jade exploded, it had a mark 'Benedict Tudor' engraved into it. It was Benedict's Soul Jade.
A middle-aged man rushed toward the the source of the explosion only to see one of the Soul Jades missing. He shuddered and kneeled in shock when he saw blank section of the wall where Benedict's Soul Jade once was. He extruded intense heat that floor tiles below his feet were starting to crack.
"Who...who did it? My son. My son! Who killed my son?!"
He was Bernard Tudor. Benedict's father, the current King's uncle, and a high-ranking official of the Kingdom of Stormrein. He was also a max-level Fire Mage and one of the best in Stormrein.
"Shadow Guards, where are you?!"
A group of shadows appeared near Bernard and kneeled in front of him. They all broke a sweat from the intense heat. The all knew how cruel this man when angered. The shadows were slightly shaking in fear.

A tall man, who seems the be the leader of the Shadow Guard stepped forward.
"Reporting to Sir. Young Master Benedict left the mansion almost a three weeks ago, rushing on a horseback. He said that he, and his party, will conquer some Class B dungeon near the Sunless Twin-Plateau. Young Master had ordered us not accompany him in such trivial matters."
"Find his body! If we're not late, we can hire a Holy Priest in the Cathedral to resurrect him. Use everything in our disposable!"

All of the Shadow Guards vanished in his line of sight. They didn't know that his son's body was incinerated into dust, not letting any Holy Priest to resurrect his body.

Yan, and his party, had already sold some of the items that they looted in the fight at the Adventurer's Guild with the help of Rosella. They manage to loot relatively high quality items and sold them at a higher price. The usually soul bounded weapons were auctioned and was flocked by many adventurers at Bree's Adventurer's Guild. All in all, they managed to gain a wealth at almost 18,000 gold coins. They felt very rich right now.
They did not sold all the items though. Yan personally used one of the 'Uncommon' cape while Rae had a 'Uncommon' cape and 'Rare' Staff. These items would be a great help for them at their current levels, specially for Rae.
They also bought a customised carriage at the best blacksmith in Bree. With the used of knowledge from his past life, Yan personally designed the carriage to his liking. It had a king size bed, a couch, and a storage cabinets for their utensils and kitchenwares. He bought the best cushion and textiles for their carriage.
The blacksmith used the best wood available in Bree's market and in nearby towns to be used in the making of the carriage.
The carriage almost costed Yan, and his party, a whooping total of 4,000 gold coins for its complex design and rushed order. But the blacksmith discounted the price because Yan taught the blacksmith the modern-day spring and shock-absorption system to make the carriage less wobbly on rough roads.
