Chapter 11: At the Lake 2
We have arrived!
I rode on Ell for around 30 minutes, and then walked for an hour.
This can be my everyday exercise, and it will be nice if I can grow taller.

I close my eyes to create an image. I felt an uneasy sensation as I tried gathering my magic power allowing it to manifest in a thin film . Since monsters and other living beings also possess magic, I tried picturing water droplets falling onto the water’s surface, creating a ripple.

Inside my head, something like a forest’s map can be seen, with a seemingly countless number of dots.
It might be difficult, given this scenario…
At that moment, a pirorin sound popped into my head.

On the map, the plants are marked as green dots, monsters as red dots, and we are marked as white dots.

Compared to the horn rabbits, fire ants are intermediate rank monsters. Martha mentioned that even though they aren’t as powerful as the horn bear, they are still pretty dangerous creatures.
「Understood. Fire ants are weak against water. Use water magic to defeat them.」

「Be careful」

Defeating a monster for the first time is making me nervous.
I slowly approached the fire ants, making sure not to make any noise, so they won’t notice me.

Then, I attacked the nearby fire ants from the bushes close by.

Using magic to compress the water to it’s limit, I threw multiple water spears at the fire ants.

Surprised by the sudden ambush, the fire ant saw its allies being taken out. I looked around. While hiding in the bushes, I can clearly see the fire ant. The fire ant’s giant fangs straightened out as it stood on alert.
It just looks like a big, red ant.
For the last enemy, I shot an aqua lance aimed at the neck, putting an end to its life.
The fire ants were flocking on a fallen dog’s body covered in mud and blood.
