"Damn ... what kind of an idiot is he ? " Alisha clenched her fist and forcefully shut her eyes thinking how incorrect she was in knowing him . She then leaves to Zen's room to check on him but the latter was fast asleep . She stood firmly before the wooden edge of the bed watching his back . He was turned to his right , a hand under his cheek .
"If you have time to do that you better take care of yourself ...idiot! " She muttered .
Neil came in and whispered in her ear .
"An evening encounter My lady !"
Alisha gave a startling response as a shiver went down her spine . She turned behind waving her hands in defence .
"No no no no ..... you have got it all wrong . He didn't come to my room today so I came to check on him that's all .."
"It's alright . Well his room is completely renovated now so I guess he won't be coming anyways do you know what this is ?" Neil raised his closed hand and opened before her to show a tiny purple bottle filled with liquid .
"Medicine ?" Alisha took that from his hand and began observing with her keen eyes .
"Yes My lady . His Majesty has been taking it every night from 5 years now . This relieves stress and anxiety but lately he has stopped taking them "
"5 years ... but this is going to be bad for him . It's something you can't take for a longer duration .. but it's good to hear that he isn't taking it any more ."
"I believe it's because he is able to relax around you My lady . You are the reason . He might appear tough yet a soft person he is . Lately the person I see him to be ... I never imagined he could ever be . I'm sure he is comfortable in having someone around for him . So please continue to be the same way " He bows before her and Alisha is stunned to hear him. She then promises Neil to change the stubborn king .
After a couple of days the day finally arrives to formally introduce Alisha as the King of Isla's soon to be wife and the future queen of Isla . Her dress was designed by the official court designer and hair , makeup were done by hired artists . She looked beautiful . The king dressed up in his formal dress , a red cloak upon his waistcoat which was placed below his shoulders with the help of golden brooches . A crown decorated his silver hair . His scabbard was to his left . Neil accompanied him to where all the guests were . The soldiers and the maids hailed him as he walked through the red carpet .
"Your Majesty! I apologise for my rudeness yesterday . I shouldn't have spoken that way with my Lady ! " One of the ambassadors incline their head before him as the other men look on .
"Oh please forget about what happened and enjoy this day . I went a little overboard too so let's just remove that incident from our minds "
"Yes Your Highness! By the way where is the party's leading lady ? If she fails to show up it will lead to a scandal and things can get worse "
"I know that ." Zen notices the mischievous squinch in his eyes and leaves from where they stood .
"Where in the world is Alisha ? What's taking her so long Neil ?" He questions with a sense of uncertainty.
"The red haired princess is the one you chose for yourself Your Majesty! So have a little faith in her . Don't let the outsiders shake your trust ." He gives him a smile as Zen looks at him . In no time he is hit by a wonderful voice and realises it's Alisha's . Alisha makes her way through the staircase as she sings . Wearing a red gown she looks undoubtedly beautiful and stunning in the audience with her red hair folded into a bun. The guests were mesmerised as it began to rain outside . A gentle rain with tiny droplets falling one after the another . The ambassadors who insulted her the other day were amazed as their jaws dropped . After she finished they went to her and appreciated what she possessed.
"My lady ! I never imagined you could do something like this . You were amazing ! Please forgive my behaviour the other day . It was certainly not acceptable. "
"Uh... its alright . To be honest I had already forgotten about that day so please don't bother yourself with it ."
"You are kind Princess . If I may , would you please give me the honour to dance with you ?" He extended his hand to her .
"Sure " She was about to place just when Zen holds her hand and refuses his offer .
" My My .. did her sinister ability interest you so much Mr Ambassador?" Mihaya then asks him to have a drink and distracts from the situation taking him away . He leaves her hand saying ..
