Braedon apologized for the accidental slip and while Yi Ling definitely wanted to murder him, Yi Bai held her back. Yi Bai Pulled him aside to talk, "It's dangerous for someone to not have a weapon in a fight. I don't have much but you could probably use this." Yi Bai gave Braedon the dagger of the strongest assassin that they just fought.

It wasn't a fancy weapon, nor was it something that had cool designs or golden runes like Yi Bai's saber. It looked like a simple kitchen knife, expect the blade was pitch black.

It was incredibly light and felt as if it was just a toy. Braedon touched the edge of the blade and felt a sharp prick on his finger. A small stream of blood dropped out and he quickly circulated his energy and healed the wound.

He thanked Yi Bai. After they captured the assassins and Yi Bai told Braedon they would send someone to fix his house. He gave him a medallion with some symbols engraved on it. He explained that if Braedon ever needed help, just search for the Yi Clan and show them the medallion. After that, they left.

Braedon sighed from relief and sat on his broken couch. He could feel his muscles swelling and every single one of his movements made his body creak. He felt as if he swallowed shards of glass and they were tearing through his stomach.

Braedon slowly limped over to a chair and sat on it, "I warned you about that skill." Glode landed next to him and Braedon noticed that he sounded a little tired. "Are you okay?" Glode explained that in order to lessen the harm the skill does to his body, Glode sacrificed some of his own energy.

"Glode, were you able to get a reading on them?" Braedon was aware of the fact that Glode could see other people's cultivation. He was curious about his recents guests cultivation.

"The old man was in the Sixth realm: True King and the girl was just like Zan Fu, Third realm: True Warrior." Glode said and Braedon sighed and leaned back feeling his own cultivation. They are my age and yet they are already so strong. Braedon smiled though and looked at his own clenched fist.

"But that's the strength that I will obtain one day." Braedon felt oddly motivated and decided to practice even more than usual.

His home was quickly restored the mpnext day and he wondered if he had to pay anything. The workers told him that they were already paid by the old man. So Braedon went to his bedroom, which was one of the rooms that wasn't destroyed, and started to train in private.

The loud sounds of construction irked him, but he dealt with it throughout the day and eventually got use to it. After consuming the pills (out of context), Braedon quickly advance his strength and took the next week to reach the peak of the first realm second stage.

"This is sort of suspicious, even if I am just constantly eating pills I shouldn't be able to grow in strength so quickly." Braedon naturally found this suspicious and wondered what was going on. Glode of course had the shocking answer, "That's thanks to the spirit vein."

Braedon looked at Glode confused, "Spirit vein? You mean a small stream of pure "heaven's force" that makes the area surrounding it a cultivation wonderland." Glode nodded, "That's the one."

"When did I have one of those?!" Braedon grabbed Glode and shook him around. Glode just calmly responded, "You mean you didn't know? Your house is built directly above one."

Braedon felt as if he was about to faint. A spirit vein! First a rare dungeon and now a spirit vein! He felt as if treasure he couldn't use were being thrown at him one after the other. After Braedon calmed down Glode explained that he was making sure any evidence of the bein's exostence was covered up.

"How are you doing that?" Glode rolled away as he called out behind him, "I have my secrets." Braedon continued his routine as normal, go to class, come home, practice, meditate, and then repeat. It felt dull but this was something Braedon didn't mind at all.

He enjoyed peace and wouldn't mind if his life lasted like that forever. Eventuallly Braedon broke through to the third stage. He felt like singing.

Braedon was full of happiness and after one day he finally calmed himself. As he was walking home one day, Braedon saw Glode fly toward him at frightening speeds, "BRAEDON!"

Braedon looked at him in a panic and asked, "What is it!"

"Someone somehow spotted me!" Braedon paused for a second and then he quickly grabbed Glode and started to run.

He looked behind him and saw a dark shadow chasing after them and then suddenly a bright light enveloped him. After eveleoping him, everything went dark.
