Braedon walked around in a dark tunnel. He could barely see what was in front of him much less anything further ahead.

He heard a scurrying sound come from his side and raised his knife in its direction. Something flashed in front of him. He quickly rolled aside and lunged forward, toward where the creature landed. It was a giant rat about a meter tall, half a meter wide, and two meters long.

Its red eyes stared at Braedon's knife while it scuttled across the ground. It saw Braedon suddenly launch toward it, so it raised up its silver tail and swung toward Braedon.

Braedon pulled up his knife and stabbed at the tentacle like appendage coming at him. His knife simply diflected and bounced off the tail. Sparks flew all around and a metallic shrill sounded out throughout the dark tunnel.

Braedon quickly flipped over and slid under the tail. He placed himself below the creature and stabbed up slicing open its belly. The rat screamed out and attempted to reach for him, but Braedon was too smart. He quickly found and pierced its heart.

Blood and guts spilled out and sprayed all over Braedon.

At least it was supposed to, but instead the creature's insides just became white light that was absorbed into his body.

Braedon felt his cultivation rise somewhat and looked passively at the shadowy landscape before him.

He had no idea where he was or how he got here. He had been in this mysterious place for what felt like several months. Worst yet was that Glode disappeared and for all this time he had no one to speak to. He was going insane!

Right now Braedon felt incredibly powerful, his body was full of energy and he felt as if he was at the top of the world.

Although, Braedon experienced terrible thing in this place. When he first entered, he was almost killed by a tiny ant. At that moment, he understood that wherever he was, it was full of danger. As time progressed, he faced one opponent after another.

Sometimes only one would appear and other times dozens. Braedon felt his strength increase a little every time he killed one of the monsters. He walked on for what felt like hours until Braedon saw something mind boggling. It was a light. In all of his time in the tunnel, Braedon had never seen a bit of light before.

A single thought popped into his head as the light started coming closer the more Braedon walked, "Freedom?" The closer he got the more excited he felt. He could smell the polluted air, hear the honking of cars, and see the flashing of phones in people's hands.

He was free!

Braedon felt as if he had just entered into an entirely new world. "How long have I been gone? Is anyone searching for me? What year is it?" These thought passed through Braedon head as he walked in front of the mouth of some sort of opened manhole.

Braedon gingerly placed his foot outside. Then he stepped through and opened up his arms as if attempting to hug the world, "I'M BAAAAAACCCCCKKKKK!!!" few words could describe Braedon's excitement. Soon though he heard a rustling in the bushes next to the mouth of the manhole and he looked over.

A couple stepped out of nowhere and stared at him strangely, "Ignore him honey, he seems a bit special." Due to him always being in absolute darkness and fighting for his life his senses gained a massive boost.

Every word the couple said he could hear quite easily, "Yeah, we should call the cops later though, just in case." Braedon's eye twitched at several more comments he heard from people popping out of nowhere.

Braedon quickly moved to a different location. At his current strength moving several miles in a few minutes was a simple thing to do. Braedon felt strange though, as if he was missing something important.

"First I need to figure out where I am."

This was a simple task. All he did was enter into a random store and asked the clerk where he was since he was lost. Apparently he was actually in a different city. The distance was quite far but he could easily reach his home in an hour.

A hundred mile jog was as simple as a lap around a race track for him now. He moved at unbelievable speeds toward his destination. He felt an incredibly strange sensation the closer he got though. It was as if something was calling for him.

Half an hour later, Braedon stopped and changed directions suddenly. He could sense that something he needed was in this direction.

The strange feeling eventually became unbearable. As if he had a terrible itch but couldn't reach it. As the feeling became stronger and his powerful eyesight saw what was in front of him, he understood why.

Yi Bai and Yi Ling were standing in from of a coffin. That wouldn't be so weird if it wasn't for what was in the coffin.

Braedon looked at the devilishly charming and handsome man in the coffin. He was so great and wonderful that no one could compare to him in Braedon's eye. His toned muscles and brown hair added on to his eccentric beauty. Who was the person in the coffin? Some may ask. The answer was quite simple.

It was Braedon.

The narcissism in Braedon's eye started to die down as he looked at the situation carefully. He was in a coffin, he was suddenly transported to a mysterious tunnel, and demons and monsters were chasing after him. Only one conclusion could be made from this.

He was dead! He had been killed and he was just in the underworld but he escaped! This thought terrified Braedon and he looked down at himself. He didn't feel like a ghost, nor did he feel like he was really dead.

Braedon snuck closer to the coffin felt strange as if he was being attracted to his body. Although his orientation was normal and he wasn't that self-centered.

While hiding in the background, Braedon felt as if something was watching him. "Whoever you are friend, please step out of the shadows." Yi Bai called out without even turning his backs and Braedon knew immediately who he was speaking to.

He stepped forward and smiled in their direction as both Yi Bai and Yi Ling looked back in shock. To them they were seeing something at a different point of view than Braedon was. To them they didn't see "Braedon" exactly. Instead what they saw was a ghostly wisp with Braedon's upper half.

"Ghost!"

"Demonic Spirit!"

Of course both of them knew that ghost, spirits, and such were all real things. Usually though, ghost would only attack or haunt those who had caused them the most grief or pain when they were alive, "Braed, do you really hate us that much for your death?"

"Huh?" Braedon had no idea what their reactions were for and he just slowly approached them. "Yi Bai, what happened here?"

Yi Bai looked at him confused, "You mean you don't know? No more importantly why do you haunt us spirit?" It took Braedon over half an hour before he could clear the misunderstanding.

Apparently after they left, they decided that they would return and give him gifts for all of his help. But when they arrived, they saw him lying face down on the ground and couldn't sense any life force coming from his body. From questioning the workers hired for his house repaired, they learned that he "died" just a few hours before they came to visit.

They saw no traces of the fight and couldn't figure out what happened, so they decided to at the very least hold a private funeral for him.

Braedon was very surprised by this news. The funeral and his "death" weren't the important things. The important information he received was that apparently he was dead for only a few hours, yet he felt as if he had been in the mysterious space for months.

Braedon explained what he had experienced over the last few "hours". From what the two's reactions, Braedon could tell that this was the first time they had ever heard of something like this.

The feeling became more intense the more the three people talked and Braedon felt as if he would explode if he didn't do something soon. Yi Bai and Yi Ling noticed his pained expression and asked him if he was okay. Braedon just quickly moved over to his dead body and placed his hand upon it.

"I... feel... sick..." suddenly Braedon's hand started to disintegrate into powder . Yi Bai and YI Ling looked on in wonderment as Braedon became dust the blew into the wind. They looked at each other in confusion and could only slowly move closer to the coffin.

"So, is he now completely dead or..."

Suddenly Braedon's voice called out, "Not yet."

The duo stared into Braedon's coffin as he slowly sat up in it. "I feel like death." What left them in awe wasn't only the fact that Braedon was alive but also his cultivation had increased immensely.

Glode was alway floating around Braedon's body watching over it. He felt incredibly depressed but at the same time, he felt as if Braedon wasn't dead. He stuck around on this belief and knew his feelings were right when he saw Braedon step out of the shadows. He felt a bit distant from the spirit Braedon than he usually did and worried if this was something bad.

Soon after though, Braedon disintegrated and rendered his old body. Glode felt the old strong bond they originally had reconnect and he felt completely satisfied.

To make sure nothing bad happened to Braedon, Glode decided to check his status. What appeared was something that even Glode didn't believe was possible.
