Phoen fell onto a bush in the middle of a random forest. Soon after his companion fell on top of his chest, knocking the air out of his lungs. "~puha~" she sat upright looking around wildly, "Master?" Phoen raised up his hand and gently tapped her on her back.
She looked down to find him being used as a chair, "Ah!" She quickly jumped off of him and lifted him up by his arm. After standing up, The entity tried to take a few steps forward but he collapsed onto his knees.
"What happened?!" The young lady was worried and ran to his side. She wrapped his arm around her shoulder and lifted Phoen up. "I'm sorry I guess my body is still too weak, using all of that power took a toll on it. My motor functions have seemed to shut down."
While the girl panicked over this, he assured her that it was temporary and he only needed a short rest. They sat on the soft soil together and spent a few minutes taking a breather. Phoen popped out his phone and made a few quick calls while they sat.
The young lady looked at Phoen and with a worried expression asked him, "I don't get it, I remember you told me that you couldn't use "heaven's force". If that is the case, then what is the power that is tearing your body apart?"
"I cannot use "heaven's force" but I can use a special energy that my core produces."
"The strange orb that you say follows you around?" Phoen nodded at her inquiry, "Yes, it isn't like "heaven's force" since I can only use a small amount of it, but it is enough to restrict the cultivation of my enemies. Unfortunately it destroys my body from the inside out."
He smiled happily while looking into the sky, "It is also an extremely rare and powerful ability. It is a skill that is only achieved by one in every hundred million." With a prideful glint in his eyes, Phoen leaned back in the grass.
"That's incredible Phoen! Doesn't that make you a once in a million year genius?" She wasn't flattering him at all, this was her true feeling and what she believed. But to Phoen he heard her words as sort of a mockery.
He knew what her intent was, but even so hearing those words made him feel awful. "No. When I was young, I trained without rest for years in order to achieve this measly amount of power. But I knew someone, my friend, he was born with it! He didn't even need to train and he was already more powerful than me."
This made them fall into an awkward silence for a few minutes. After a while, a group of limousines drove up and men in suits stepped out. They surrounded the two and one of the men opened the door to the limousine.
The entity lifted his companion up and they walked together side by side into the vehicle. The door closed behind them and the entity called out to the driver, "Bring us to headquarters." The car started and started to move along the road.
The entity looked over to his assistant, "I actually have a gift for you." He held up his hand that had the ring on it. In his palm was a rose that was a deep shade of red. Its petals looked like crystals with small flames inside of them.
He held it out to her and the girl accepted it with a blush on her face. Phoen smiled, "If you train with this at your side, it will grant you twice the effect for half the effort. Best of all it leave no impurities inside of your body, it is a rare find."
The girl smiled and whispered to herself in such a soft voice, even Phoen didn't know what she said, "Doing something like this makes a girl misunderstand, don't you know."
The entity looked forward and told the driver, "Once we arrive, I want you to give the guardians five top tier crystals and tell them to double their training efforts. Trouble is brewing." They drove off far into the distance after that.

Zan Fu paced around the room with an annoyed expression. This was not because, the entity got away. It was because Yi Ling and Yi Bai took the last two seats at the table for four. Due to this, they ran out of chairs, so Zan Fu had nothing to sit on.
"I hope you are all enjoying yourselves." Zan Rong on the other hand acted like a good host. "It is no problem at all." Both Yi Bai and Zan Rong we're smiling at each other in a friendly manner, but Zan Fu swore that he could feel some pressure between them.
They sat together for a few minutes, talking about the situation of what just happened, as well as a few things about cultivation. They kept going until Yi Bai finally stated that he needed to leave.
Zan Fu stood at his father's side watching the two of them leave. Zan Rong quietly whispered to his son, "That Yi Ling is a good girl, but her grandfather is a piece of work. Beware of that old man. Even while saying flattering words directly towards my face, he was checking to see my strength and scheming."
Zan Fu nodded to himself while looking at Zan Rong. Although they haven't mentioned it yet, it was only a matter of time. The one thing he worried about the most came two hours later.
"So Zan Fu, I have noticed that you seem much more powerful than usual." Mei Ling smiled kindly while at the same time carefully looking at her nails.
This action made Zan Fu nervously sweat, "I don't know what you're talking about." A sudden glint flashed by and Mei Ling's long, sharp nails were pointed at Zan Fu's throat. "Zan Fu." She purred out quietly.
He proceeded on a wild explanation on how he had a sudden breakthrough recently. Zan Fu hid some of the important details from them but they didn't care much for it. What they were more concerned about was the number of strikes he had to deal with.
"Why would there be so many on a simple third to fourth tribulation?" Zan Fu shrugged his shoulders, "I don't know but the most important thing is that I'm alive...right?" Zan Rong looked at his idiotic son and pulled him into a tight hug.
"Of course it is." Zan Fu was latered punished. Not for attempting to hide his breakthrough, but for crashing through their home's gate.
Meanwhile Drodon sat back and watched Zan Fu curiously. He noticed something curious occur inside of Zan Fu. When they had entered in through the gate, he saw a field of some sort of blue energy surround the vicinity.
Small streams of this energy was wrapped around the house's workers and even Zan Fu's parents. It seemed that the streams were holding them in place like chains on a prisoners.
When he and Zan Fu moved into the field, the energy was disrupted and the chains around everyone weakened dramatically. Drodon discovered that he and Zan Fu were not only immune to its effect, but could partially nullify it as well.
Drodon saw that no one else could see it and decided that he would hide this fact for now. But recent events have changed his mind on that. This was because Drodon could clearly see all of the "heaven's force" coming out of everyone's body.
This was what gave him the ability to accurately read another person's cultivation. The problem was with Zan Fu's "heaven's force". Usually it would look clear and bright like any other normal person's. The brighter it was the more pure the power, but no matter what the aura would always look clear and translucent.
A small part of Zan Fu's aura however was clearly blue.
