Zan Fu returned home to unexpected news. Zan Li was about to break through to the next realm. This was some exciting news for the family since due to him usually teaching others on how to cultivate, his own strength has been neglected.
Now that he was about to breakthrough to the fourth stage just like Zan Fu, this means that his understanding of the fourth realm will rise, and his teaching prowess will increase. The hope that Zan Li could train several experts rather than being one was shared among the leaders of the family.

Other than this, they also talked about their future plans about the Shadow Guild. "We cannot prepare a large force to invade their hidden base right now."
Zan Fu was surprised by his words and gave off a worried look, "What happened?"
Mei Ling stepped forward and explained the problem, "Someone has started a battle against us."
Killing intent exuded as he asked the simple question, "Who are they and what did they do?" Zan Rong shook his head softly, "That's the strange thing, we don't know. It isn't that someone is attacking us directly, it's more like several members of our branch families have disappeared into thin air."
"The only thing that is known about the disappearance is that they have all visited a certain ghost town not too far away from here." Zan Fu face baecame a scowl. He nodded his head in understanding and said to his parents, "Where is this place? I will investigate it personally." At first his parents refused but he convinced them by simply stating that he would figure it out one way or another and sneak over anyway.
They couldn't deny that he was crazy enough to do that and figured that knowing when he left to explore was much safer than him just sneaking out without them noticing. They gave him the coordinates of the town and Zan Fu asked Shu Rong to stay behind and check up with his people to see if they had any information on the disappearances.
He left soon after to figure out what was going on as soon as possible. While driving, Drodon floated next to his head, "Zan Fu, we have a problem." Zan Fu kept his eyes on the road as he spoke with Drodon, "What is it?"
"I think I know what we are going to find over there." This made him silent or a second, "Go ooooooon."
"The thing that is in that area is actually very beneficial to us. Luckily, it doesn't kill its opponents but instead keeps them in its body for slow, painful absorption over the periods of dozens of years."
Zan Fu couldn't help but inset a small comment, "Yeah that doesn't make things better."
"Just let me finish! As I was trying to say, the people aren't dead and as long as we slice its body open then we can save those inside. And as a sweet bonus-" a strange slurping sound came from Drodon, "it's body produces a powerful crystal of energy. The energy cannot be absorbed by you however."
Two questions appeared in Zan Fu's. The first one, which ,he kept to himself, was "How are you making a slurping sound without a tongue." And the second that he said out loud was, "then what is the purpose of the crystal. If we can't absorb it then why do you care."
He swore that if Drodon had a face, he would have a smug smile right then and there, "WE can't absorb the energy, but your BONDED WEAPON can!"
Drodon allowed that to sink in for a second.
"Drodon."
"Yeah?"
"Slap on a seatbelt."
Zan Fu slammed the gas pedal down and his car sped up to dangerous (and illegal) speeds. They moved in and out of different lanes and whenever a There was a traffic jam, Zan Fu would use the car's special function of using some of his "heaven's force" to propel it up into the air.
Finally they arrived to their destination. Drodon rolled out of the car and proceeded to make vomiting sounds.
"Haha! Drodon is it me or do you seem to be more humanlike everyday."

They moved on forward to search for their target. "By the way, you never did tell me what the creature we were looking for is."
"Oh well it should be easy to spot, it's just a large worm after all."
When he said large worm, Zan Fu thought of an earthworm the size of a bus at most. But he had a bigger surprised in store, a much bigger surprise.
They investigated for hours with little to no success at finding their target, "Where can it possibly be. We traveled around the entire town several times over already!"
Drodon just rolled on the ground a bit before making a small request, "Try spilling some blood onto the ground."
He didn't understand what the purpose was, but Zan Fu listened to Drodon's advice and made a small cut across the palm of his hand. He spilt the blood onto the ground and waited patiently for something to happen.
"It didn't do anyth-". Just as he suspected that the plan didn't work, the ground beneath him started to tremble fiercely.
"Run!"
Without a second of hesitation, Zan Fu charged off into a random direction and hoped for the best. When he was quite a distance away, he decided that it was safe enough to look back and what he saw almost gave him a heart attack.
A worm bigger than any dragon or monster he had ever seen before had popped out of the ground and was suddenly devouring a twenty-stories tall building. It's dark-brown body was covered in fleshy scars with some sort of strange veins pumping black liquid through it.
"Is that..."
"That's the worm"
"...F*ck this."
