Braedon sang the feather around with all of his might toward berserker state bowman. The bow man didn't even flinch as the feather slashed deep into his arm. Blood flowed like a river but instead of stopping him, this only made the bowman more mad.
"Arrrrrgh!" He roared out and grabbed the arm that was holding onto the quill of the weapon stabbing into him. The man yanked it in and Braedon, who didn't expect that to happen, lost his balance and was dragged closer to the 'monster' only to have a power fist smash into his nose.
Braedon flew back, crashing into the while the berserker jumped up and tried to slam both of his fist down on top of him like the hulk.
Luckily, Braedon was able to roll to the side and avoid the full force of the attack. But the force of the blow did crack the ground beneath them and jagged rock rose up and pierced into his body.
Kai Jun was doing much better. After trying, and failing, to stop his opponents movements by using the whip to tie him up, he went for the more direct method and brought out a sword. This wasn't just any sword though, as its blade was incredibly thin like that of paper.
He swung it around a few times and the blade sliced through their surroundings like a hot knife through butter. He watched as the man charged toward him and every time the berserker's arm was thrown his way, Kai Jun used the sword to block it.
He never attacked only defended. As this process continued, Kai Jun finally took a different course of action when he saw an opening.
The drug caused both men to actually grow twice their original height, so when the scythe user leaned back in preparation for a powerful punch, Kai Jun was able to quickly slide by between his legs and get behind him.
He flipped himself over so that his Roma h was on the ground and used one hand to push himself up while the other held out the sword.
Let's just say the raging scythe user was quite surprised when he felt a sharp pain come up from his buttocks all the way to his spine. The warrior went down while and began to shake wildly as if he was going through a seizure.
Kai Jun looked over at Braedon who was having his own difficulties, "Braedon! I found their weakness, just shove something up their ass!"
Braedon, Qi Bao, Jingyi Lei, and even the bowman paused and looked over at Kai Jun where his adversary was laying on the ground trembling.
The thought process of all who heard his words were deeply disturbed by this strange revelation and all Braedon could say was, "You actually tried?" Kai Jun nodded in a simple man and Braedon just shrugged his shoulders, no longer caring.
Braedon raised the feather up and a blinding flash cake from its top. This bright flash of light blinded the bowman and he instinctively began attacking randomly at the air.
Without his sight to guide him and a stable mind to lead, the bowman wasn't able to control his senses or regain his sight like Braedon and Kai Jun were able to do. But he did focus a lot of his random attack near his bottom.
This didn't save him though, as Braedon dodger and blocked every single attack that came near him. And after apologizing in his heart, Braedon pointed the feather up and used its heat to burn through any clothing in its path upward.
A shrill cry rang out as the last of the berserkers went down with tears in his eyes. Very few things would ever make a man cry, but this sight would definitely be one of them.
Finally Braedon and Kai Jun were about to finish off their enemies until Qi Bao final swung his saber in their direction and a beam of power flew towards them. The two of them moved back to avoid the attack and watched as Qi Bao dragged his ally back with him.
Braedon gave off a cold snort as he commented, "I guess you do care about your friends a bit after all."
And the response that he received was just two simple words, "Not exactly."
Qi Bao laughed cruelly as he placed his hands on top of the dying bodies of what used to be his comrades. "You guys have been living long enough, now it's time for you to serve your purpose."
A horrified expression appeared on the faces of Braedon and Jingyi Lei. Kai Jun didn't react much but his eyes seemed to hold a deep sense of hatred and disgust inside of them.
This was because the crying bodies lying on the ground were beginning to shrivel up into nothing but skeletons and a bright, red energy was traveling up into Qi Bao's arms.
The hair on his head began to fall out into a small pile by his feet. Even his clothing were ripped to shred due to his muscles suddenly inflating into an insane size that was barely comparable to Xiao Hagen's own muscles, which he could probably use to injure a cultivator even though he was just a mortal.
A dark aura seeped out of his flesh as streaks of black lines began to appear and cover his body. His brown eyes began to turn jet-black while his his veins bulged a dark shade of red. A sick and twisted smile appeared on his face as a loud cry escaped his mouth.
"RAAARRRRGGGGHHHHH! HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!" Finally his became returned back to normal except for the veiny markings and his black eyes.
His face became a permanent snarl and he gave off a toothy grin as he cracked his neck, "Now I'm ready for battle."
A terrified Jingyi Lei fell to the ground trembling. He couldn't believe what he was seeing right now, "They- they were Living Pills!"
Braedon looked over to where he was body when he heard these words, "Living Pills? Kai Jun, what is th-" he turned his head over to face Kai Jun and froze for a second. Kai Jun's expression was the angriest he had ever seen it.
Even with the monkey back in the tower, Kai Jun looked more calm and collected than now. In fact, the past him looked like a sweet old lady who wouldn't hurt a fly by comparison.
"Kai Jun? What's wrong."
"Living Pills... are a type of forbidden refinement that are banned by cultivators around the world due to their creation process."
Braedon became confused at Kai Jun's words and asked, "So it is taboo like refining a person?"
"It is beyond taboo. Refining a living being is looked down upon, but people of the world still do it, but no one is allowed to create a Living Pill. The fact that he has one means that an important rule has been broken. If this was discovered by other organizations, a witch-hunt for the culprit would begin and no one would rest until the refiner is dead."
"Why is making these things so bad?" Braedon understood that refining a person was bad, and he could tell that this was several times worst. But to have entire organizations hunt one person down just for this was a little too crazy.
"Because Braedon, like whenever you refine normal medicines and pills you need a few things. The ingredients, a furnace, and an extremely hot flame. But to create a Living Pill, these things must be a little different..."
He paused for a second in disgust before continuing, "You need the furnace to be made out of the flesh and bones twenty virgin women, the flames need to be created from burning a ten innocent civilians, and one of the main ingredients is the body of over one hundred children, all five years old or younger."
Kai Jun said this last part while closely his eyes as if he was mourning, "The most frightening thing is that there is only a forty percent chance of being able to successfully create these disgusting pills, so tell me... HOW- how much innocent blood did you spill?!"
A cruel and uncaring look appeared on Qi Bao's face, "More than enough."
A wave of energy was released from his body as a new cultivation was revealed to the two of them. He is now at the peak of the fifth realm. One more step and he would reach the sixth realm.
Qi Bao was originally in the fourth realm and was pleasantly surprised when he reached the peak of the fifth realm all of a sudden. But he knew that this increase of power was only temporary, this was evidenced by the fact that no tribulation had arrived to strike him down yet.
"I better put this power to good use."
Now with his new increase in power, it was virtually impossible for Kai Jun and Braedon to win this battle. Although he wouldn't be able to kill Kai Jun, at the very least Braedon would be severely injured.
Kai Jun quickly calculated their chance of winning at their current strength and found it to be almost zero. This was seemingly a terrible situation they were in and if nothing was done, then someone might die.
