It didn't take long for Braedon to recuperate from his energy consumption and wounds. Kai Jun watched over him carefully and patiently awaited him to wake up.

They were currently hidden away in an apartment that Kai Jun had bought long ago using some money he collected (robbed) from several cultivators in the past. He placed Braedon onto a bed while looking back to Jingyi Lei and pointing to where he could put Qi Bao.

Although Braedon's "wounds" were healed, he would not wake up from his slumber. This was because of the ability he used which allowed him to triple his power temporarily, but it seems being in an astral form gave him a small bonus.

The recoil of the power was currently destroying his mind, but this would only last for a few hours. It would be much simpler if he had his old body, with only a few hours of pain. But hours of constant, horrifying nightmares were okay.

After some time, both Qi Bao and Braedon woke up at almost the same time. "I feel like I've been fainting a lot lately, can that please stop?"

"That'll stop when you have regained your body." Kai Jun said this while grabbing some random rope and tying Qi Bao to a chair like the people in action movies who are about o get tortured.

"I swear, taking back my body is the answer to all of my problems in life." As he watched Kai Jun tie their captive, Braedon was checking up on Jingyi Lei and asking if everything was alright.

"I'm okay, but what are we going to do with him." He pointed over at the chair with scrunched up brows. He was worried that they would kill him, "You need to be careful, he isn't just some guy in the fourth realm in the guild. He is the grandson of one of the guild elders, the elder of refinement!"

Kai Jun, "I know."

Braedon, "?"

Jingyi Lei, "How?!"

"Look at him, I'm not sure about you but he does not look smart enough to secretly create Living Pills to me. Also he has no scent of herbs or smoke coming from his skin, this means that he doesn't refine things often, so I figured that someone else must have made the pill for him."

Kai Jun finished tying and gagging up Qi Bao and started to make himself some tea, while continuing to talk about how incredible his deduction skills were.

"His arrogance, demeanor, and servants told me that he had some connections to high ranking people. And the fact that he had Living Pills were beside him, gives me all the information I needed to say that his connection was a refiner. Now I didn't know what relationship they shared exactly, but it had to be family since who would risk everything by making Living Pills for someone like him if not his family."

Jingyi Lei had a newfound respect for Kai Jun's incredible skills. He would describe Kai Jun to his new friend in the future by saying, " He was just like a detective! Someone who could solve the mysteries of the world." The last part was something he added after witnessing Kai Jun's greatness once more later on.

To Braedon though, none of this mattered. Instead what mattered the most was the information that hpthey could obtain from their captive. He walked up to the man sitting in the chair and grabbed at the cloth ball in his mouth. Usually the rope wouldn't hold Qi Bao for a second, but his cultivation was in complete disarray and he could not use "heaven's force" correctly at the moment.

He yanked out the cloth and threw it backwards, letting it fall to the ground.

Qi Bao looked up to the monster in front of him with deep fear and hatred in his eyes. "What did you do to me? What were those thing?!" Braedon didn't answer his question as he leaned down over the man with wide eyes.

"Unless you want to have that experience again, you WILL answer all of my questions. Do you understand?"

Qi Bao wildly nodded as he saw Braedon's eyes begin to glow a mysterious blue color.

Kai Jun nodded in approval of Braedon's methods. He patted Braedon on his shoulders after they finished question Qi Bao about the entity, "It appears that you still have some connections to the spirit realm."

"The what realm?"

"You don't need to worry about that right now." Kai Jun felt a little weird at the moment, with a new emotion growing inside of him. He was pretty sure that it was... pride in another? This was something he had never felt before.

Braedon asked for some time alone and walked over to a balcony that came with the apartment that they were currently staying in. He looked off far into the distance. He felt a little strange about his current situation. He noticed a while back that a lot of his skills had disappeared. He could no longer use his assassination techniques.

And most importantly, he could no longer feel his connection with Glode. It had been so long since Glode's stupid voice was at his side, speaking to him. "If the entity stole my body, what happened to Glode? I hope he is okay."

He looked down at his palm and nodded to himself, "I'm strong now. Once I regain what is rightfully mine, I will find Glode's other half and return to him his memory."

Although they had not talked to each other in a while, Braedon also wondered about how his acquaintances, Yi Bai and Yi Ling, were doing. Maybe, he should go ahead and visit them next? It was a good idea that Braedon would suggest later, for now he needed some time to just digest the information of what e was told by Qi Bao, "I really don't want to do this."

Kai Jun sat on a stool with a cup of tea in his hands. He looked back at his own reflections and thought back to his {Tiger Raiment} and something else. "It's been so long since I've used that..." Kai Jun's dark hair had a brilliant gold luster shine across it for one second.

No one in the room noticed this scene, and Kai Jun continued to drink his tea peacefully, "How Fun."
