Zan Fu opened his eyes after a long nights rest to the sound of his blaring alarm. He did not want to get out of his bed yet. But Zan Fu knew that if he pressed the snooze button on the clock and closed his eyes again, he probably wouldn't wake back up until noon.

With a disgruntled sigh, Zan Fu forced himself to get out of bed and he smacked his tongue a few times. He walked to the bathroom, which was not his own but shared among his family members (something which he thought was kind of silly considering the family's wealth), and without knocking he spun the door knob and pushed the door open.

The door swung open with a loud creak and Zan Fu looked up from the floor to find strange sight before him. Shu Rong stood there in an oversized dress shirt covering his entire body. She looked up from what she was doing, which was brushing her teeth, and just froze there staring at him. He stared back and decided that his best course of action would be to slowly step back and close the door.

Somehow, something about this situation made Zan Fu feel like he was in incredible danger. "I'll just leave you alone." He closed the door behind him and walked off with his mind buzzing. Strange feelings were growing inside of his chest and he thought back to the scene of Shu Ring standing there with only a shirt on. A blush appeared on Zan Fu's cheeks as he shook his head forcefully, "Get yourself together Zan Fu." He spoke to himself quietly while waiting for the bathroom to become unoccupied.

Once the door opened, Shu Rong stepped out in a long-sleeved black sweater as well as tight, black pants. Her face was covered with abalck scarf and sitting on her head was a navy blue beanie.

"I see you're going for a dark appearance, moody appearance today." Zan Fu tried to say in a comedic tone, but Shu Rong just turned around and walked away from him. "Ah-" before he could say anything else, he disappeared from sight and Zan Fu was just left there to awkwardly rub his head, "Good morning to you too..."

He entered into the bathroom and prepared himself as well, it was a strange experience having Shu Rong live with them. It was like having a sibling, but it felt a bit different. He washed his face and brushed his teeth. He left and walked toward his old training room once again to practice his techniques.

He remembered the time when he suddenly had an urge to do a strange stance and attacked that popped into his mind. The sword technique's power and ferocity was still fresh in his mind, he still remembered how great it felt to almost succeed in his practice of the technique.

A large heavy sword almost as big as Zan Fu himself appeared into his hand. It came from his collection and after his battle with the Divinity, he had requested for a few dozen more to be forged.

Zan Fu held the sword out and swung it up once. He didn't feel like it was too heavy until his twentieth swing, when the muscles in his arms began to scream out in pain. He kept swinging though, and after some time he became better at controlling the weapon's speed and force.

It's weight was very similar to the claw that he usually used as a weapon, so he felt as if he was getting a good amount of practice with the claw as well. Zan Fu held up the sword and pointed it forward while taking in a deep breath. He jumped up and swung it over his shoulders, slamming it into the ground. Then he spun around with it, brought it around his head, and pulled it back in next to him.

He held it to his side and closed his eyes, the tingling sensation he felt the first time he tried to use this technique. He thrusted the blade out forward and a surge of power began to wrap around his arms and body. A wave of wind surrounded his body and he felt incredible!

Zan Fu opened his dark eyes and a surge of blue shined deep within them. Every time he swung the sword, a streak of blue would follow behind the blade and the top of the sword began to look like several more blade tips were beginning to form.

As the speed of spins swings increased, the blue color in his eyes began to grow brighter. Until eventually his sockets were just holes that were glowing with blue light. A wide almost insane smile grew onto his face and the strikes of each attacks were releasing illusory claws.

"Zan Fu! Stop, please!" A loud shout sounded out that distracted his concentration suddenly. The attacks stopped and the blade in Zan Fu's arms dropped from his hand. Blood was spewed from his mouth as he collapsed onto the ground. Looking down, he noticed that his palms had the skin and fleshed ripped off, leaving behind only a bloody mess.

Zan Fu's memories of what just transpired were muddled and he was in a state of confusion. He looked around to find the source of the voice and saw Shu Rong along with his parents standing there and just staring at him, "Is something wrong?"

"Zan Fu, are you okay?" Zan Rong worriedly asked while looking at him in a strange manner.

"Yeah, why wouldn't I be." After he said this, Zan Fu looked at Shu Rong and Mei Ling. They were both looking at him in confusion and Shu Rong pointed in a direction behind him, "Look."

Zan Fu turned around to find the sword he was using had been completely obliterated. It was burning in a bright blue flame, and its body was twisted so terribly that it looked just like scrap metal. The sword hissed and popped as it was charred black.

"What the..."

After cleaning up the mess, the theee people tried to question him about what happened but Zan Fu could not remember a thing.

He returned to his room after taking a shower and Voice suddenly spoke up in his head, "That was dangerous."

"Voice! You were there, do you know what happened to me?" Zan Fu suddenly remembered that Voice was there the whole time and questioned him if he knew what happened.

"No, I don't know what happened exactly. All I know was that your mind was being broken to pieces. Whatever you were doing was rapidly increasing your strength, but your mind was being eroded away like a slime dissolving it food."

Zan Fu heard this and a cold sweat formed across his brow. The worst part was that the feeling he had while using the technique felt extremely addictive. If it wasn't for Shu Rong suddenly yelling out at him, he might've fallen into its tempting trap and be eaten.

"What were you doing the whole time then, Voice?"

"I was doing what I could to repair the erosion before it broke you apart."

Zan Fu nodded in thanks at his response and looked at his own hand nervously, "I hope I never do something as insane as that again."

~~~~~~~~~~
Zan Rong stood in Zan Fu's training room and began to rub the ground.
"Is something wrong?" Mei Ling stood there behind him and watched as he inspected the walls and ceiling.
"Yeah, it's those strange attacks that Zan Fu was releasing."
"What's wrong with them?"
"The aura I feel coming from these wall are comparable to that of someone in the sixth realm."
Mei Ling's eyes widened in surprise, "What does this mean?"
Zan Rong stood up slowly awhile rubbing his fingers together nervously, "...I don't know."
