The next day Braedon was sitting cross legged on the floor of his house. He noticed that the dance that he was practicing was becoming less and less effective. Glode told him that this was because it was only a temporary practice method and what he needed now was a epiphany about his own way of practice.

He was told to sit and feel the world around him. Honestly despite, every technique having different specialties and some of them having some minor level differences, the main essence of every technique were generally the same.

For example, most techniques had the same amount of minor stage for the first five levels. This number changed from level six to ten. But one technique can increase one's speed more while another can increase their strength more.

The reason why level six through ten was different is because... Braedon didn't know. That was a part of the information he was missing from his memories. Braedon's technique was a bit strange.

Although he had a basic outline for the way he practice, it wasn't a perfected technique. What happened is that the technique Glode gave him was apparently something he himself pieced together. Unfortunately, the practice dance itself was unsuitable for his body after he broke through to the first realm second stage.

Yesterday, after coming home from Zan Fu's House, Braedon started to take some of the medicinal herbs and pills given to him. Under Glode's instructions after a night of practice, the seed in his feet sprouted out and a minor stage was broken through directly.

He spent the rest of the time consolidating his new strength. He tried practicing once more under Glode's guidance but the energy just wouldn't flow into the seed in his hands. Glode figured out the reason and explained that his body wasn't built like the original owner of the technique he "cited" from to make "Phoenix Might".

So Braedon had to figure out his own way of practicing. He slowly closed his eyes and started to take in a deep breath. Braedon calmed his mind and focused on his own body. He wondered what type of technique he should try to practice.

As ideas flowed through his mind, he became very bored and tired. Then his consciousness began to drift to sleep. He woke up looking at the stars in the sky. Braedon's first thought was if he somehow fell asleep until nighttime but a voice next to him answered, "No."

Braedon looked over and found a young man, sitting next to a model of earth. Braedon felt a strange sense of familiarity when staring at the man, as if he had known him for his whole life. Braedon slowly approached him while saying a greeting, "Hi, I'm Braedon. What is your name?"

The man looked over with piercing black eyes and smiled at him, "My name is... Kai Jun" Kai Jun smiled at him and said, "What are you doing here Braedon?" Braedon looked around him and saw an unfamiliar scenery.

It looked like a simple black room with little to no furniture inside of it. The ceiling was missing and the floor below them felt soft to the step. He remembered trying to meditate and figure out a new way of practicing, but he didn't remember how he got here.

Braedon turned to Kai Jun and shook his head, "I don't know..." Kai Jun just smiled and patted the ground right next to him. Braedon didn't find this strange or worrisome, instead he felt happy and walked over to sit next to Kai Jun.

As he looked down at the model in Kai Jun's hands he asked, "What are you doing?" Kai Jun had what looked like a piece of stone and dropped it onto the model, he turned to Braedon and said, "I'm just playing around."

He looked over at Braedon, "Are you looking for a new practice for your cultivation?" As Kai Jun said this he raised up his hand and placed it onto Braedon's forehead. Braedon bewilderedly looked at him and several images popped into his head,

He witnessed Kai Jun moving in a strange pattern and watched as his energy moved from one limb to another. As he watched it, another image of Kai Jun playing with the model of earth came into his mind. Kai Jun looked over at Braedon and said, "This is a world is truly interesting."

Suddenly, Braedon woke up and looked at Glode.

"I found it."

They started to practice with the technique Braedon found. After finishing a session of practice, they heard a knock at the door. Braedon quickly brought in his aura and hid it. He finally mastered the ability to hide his cultivation in such a way that Glode even claimed that it was almost impossible for even true experts to discover that he wasn't a mortal.

As the last bit of Phoenix Breath entered into him, Braedon arrived at the front door and asked, "Who is it?"

He heard nothing on the other side and decided to check what it was. He wasn't worried about whether it was a kidnapper or something else, since even if it was he could probably take him on. He didn't think it was a cultivator since there would be no reason for one to visit him.

As he slowly opened the door an old man carrying a young, injured lady barged in.

"Quick! Do you have anywhere to lay her down at?." The old man begged and Braedon just pointed toward the sofa in his living room. He quickly walked over and laid the young lady on it. She looked beaten and bloodied. Smoke was actually coming off her hair and her skin looked charred.

Even so it didn't take away from her beauty. She had glossy, pale skin and her midnight black hair floated over her shoulders. Her delicate hands laid across her waist, while her plain clothing accentuated her shapely figure. She seemed almost his age and her breathing was soft, almost nonexistent.

"What happened?" Braedon didn't ask the obvious question of who they were since he deemed that it was more important to find out what happened. The old man shook his head in grief and said nothing. Braedon got angry at this and grabbed the old man by the shoulder.

"What happened." He said with a resolute and calming voice. The old man looked at him and released a tearful sigh, "A mortal like you wouldn't understand, but I might as well try." Braedon caught something that he said "mortal" and with this Braedon thought to himself, "He's a cultivator?"

As the old man started to talk, he pushed his thoughts away and listened intently.

"She was struck down by tribulation lightning. To someone like you, that doesn't make sense. But to those who do understand, this means that she doesn't have long to live. Ling'er was at the peak of the third realm and was about to break through at any time."

The old man didn't know why he was telling a random stranger this, but he felt more calm. It was as if the young boy in front of him was a powerful glue holding his broken spirit together.

"Unfortunately the breakthrough occurred while she was away on a mission and without proper preparation, she failed the tribulation. Our home is too far away, so we won't have enough time to go there and get proper treatment. We don't know anyone nearby who could help and even if we did, they probably couldn't do much anyway. Her death is almost assured."

The old man had tears streaming down his face as he said his next word, "First my son, then my daughter-in-law, and now my only grandchild. Heavens! Why does fate have to be so cruel!"

Braedon turned away from the weeping old man and looked at his granddaughter instead. Slowly he thought back to the Tribulation Life Pill, Zan Rong gave him.

As Braedon dug into his pockets and removed the small box, the old man stopped his weeping and looked at Braedon. The box in his hand contained an incredible amount of life energy.

Most pills contain different types of energy and healing pills contained life energy. The pills used for practicing cultivation had spiritual energy. The energies were quite diverse and the more energy a pill had, the more effective it became.

Braedon opened up the box and a streams of light floated off from the pill. Braedon picked it up and gently brought it over to the old man's granddaughter's face.

The streams of light flowed up her nostrils and her charred skin started healing at a visible rate. Braedon then brought his hand over to her mouth and opened up her cherry red lips. He dropped the pill into her mouth and it immediately dissolved becoming energy that flowed throughout her body.

Her breathing became stronger and her skin started to heal. Her pale skin had a some color return to it and the smoke stopped coming out of her hair.

She slowly opened her eyes soon after and looked around the room to see a young man standing next to her grandpa who was crying, "Grandfather?"

The old man stared at Braedon in shock and quickly ran to his granddaughter hugging her, "You're okay now, you were saved!" He wailed out with a loud sob.

The young lady had a few tears streak down her eyes before drowsily saying, "Grandpa, I'm tired..." He gently laid her back onto the sofa to rest and his sights returned to Braedon. He wiped the tears from his eyes and calmed down his heart.

"Who are you? Was that a Tribulation Life Pill? And if so, why did you give something so precious to a stranger like me?" The old man understood that people were selfish. He had seen their greed plenty of times over the course of his long life. But he just couldn't figure out why this random person had a rare treasure like a Tribulation Life Pill and was willing to give it to them.

Braedon just smiled and said a few words words, "The world is a beautiful place. It would be a shame to just leave it so soon."
