As the smoke rose from the ground where the bullet landed, looks of shock and terror could be seen on the faces of the army on Zan Fu's side. Cheers rose from the enemy forces as realization of what just happened struck them.
Braedon's worriedly looked at the direction of the explosion and his eyes gave off a brilliant glow. Zan Fu stepped back in disbelief as he felt a hand get placed onto his shoulder. Looking back, he found Shu Rong standing there with one hand on his shoulder and the other hand covering her mouth. Shu Rong could not believe what he was seeing, the sight of Zan Rong being defeated so suddenly felt like a wrecking ball smashing into her.
Blue and Jingyi Lei were not as close to Zan Rong as Zan Fu and Shu Rong were, but they could tell that something terrible had just happened. Blue remembered the bet he jokingly made on how Zan Rong was going to lose and felt guilty because of it. He didn't think that the outcome of the battle was what he predicted, it was only suppose to be a small joke!
Zan Fu nodded to Shu Rong in thanks. Blue stepped up behind him and hesitantly held his arm out, "Zan Fu, I-I didn't..."
"Don't worry Red, no one thought that this would be the results."
Blue nodded while thinking to himself, "My name is Blue!" Zan Fu looked out passed the cage and walked up to Kai jun and ask him to release them so he could check up on his father's condition. Before he could reach Kai jun though, an arm was placed in front of him, stopping his movements.
"Braedon, what are you doing?"
"Zan Fu, look down there!" Braedon's glowing eyes were trained on the area where the smoke was clearing up. Inside of the debris and destroyed earth, Zan Fu could barely make out a shadowy figure, "What is that?"
Blue, Shu Rong, and Jingyi Lei all came over to see what the two friends were staring at while Kai Jun gave off a whistle, "Zan Rong wins."
As the dust cleared away, it revealed Zan Rong standing there without a scratch on him. He wasn't even bleeding anywhere and was just patting away the dust that got onto his...shell?
Zan Rong's appearance had changed a bit since they last saw him. A few changes that had occurred was they his hair was a bit more frizzy, he was covered in a lot of dirt, and he had a GIGANTIC shell on his back!
His chest and back were covered in the shell that he was swinging around just a few seconds before. The bullet was intact lodged into the underbelly of the shell, where Zan Rong's stomach would be. He looked down at the needle like ammunition and wrapped his hand around it. He gave it a hard tug and the bullet came out with a ~pop~ sound.
He gave off a look while the ammunition was in his hand as if to say, "How about that, huh?"
He began walking toward Weiceng Shuguo in a slow stroll. He threw the bullet behind him and an even bigger explosion than the one that the speed and force of the bullet originally caused. Flames sprung out from the shell surrounding Zan Rong, coupled with the explosion behind him, made him look like a destructive deity coming in for a kill.
Zan Fu stared wide eyed in shock, while Braedon stared onward slack jawed. In a place devoid of battles, Mei Ling chuckled out while watching the battle, "It's been a long time since I've seen this form."
Zan Rong stood only five meters away from a trembling Weiceng Shuguo and said in a confident tone of voice, "This is MY true power. {Celestial Turtle}."
At the exact same time Kai jun was telling the others something, "That technique that Zan Fu's father is using is called {Celestial Turtle}. It's a skill that is incredibly difficult to train, but if you are successful in mastering even a tiny bit of it, your power could easily receive a 3% strength increase if you take on the turtle form."
Braedon looked over with a strange look on his face, "Only 3%? Isn't that a bit low?"
"To you it might not seem like a lot, but think of it this way. You are a one thousand Braedon, with a three percent increase in power you will be a one hundred and three. But Zan Rong is more like a ten thousand, so a three percent increase will give him a three thousand power boost. It might not be a lot to you, but to him it is a ton and can change this entire war for the better... well, for our better anyway."
Zan Fu looked at Kai Jun curiously, "How do you know what technique my dad used? And how did he obtain such a technique in the first place?"
"I know of the technique because I myself train a similar skill, except mine is a bit stronger. And as for why your dad knows about this skill, it's probably because he was lucky enough to meet a Cosmic Turtle. Cosmic Turtles are legendary beasts that live in the out regions of the galaxy, but once in a while they would crash land on a planet near their death and if someone is able to meet them just before they die, then the turtle will pass on their legacy to that person. If not the. The legacy will either die along with the turtle or the beasts would have already passed on his legacy to a different turtle already." Kai jun answered Zan Fu's questions with the basic answers.
After saying what he needed to say, he shushed the others and told them to watch the show.
Zan Rong took in a deep breath and the underbelly of his shell rose along with his chest. The white color of the underbelly began to turn into a deep shade of black and only small shining white dots remained. The dots glew in the dark void and took on the form of stars, "[Cosmic Breath]!" Zan Rong blew out his breath and a stream of whatnot looked like stars came along with it.
Riding upon each star was a miniature turtle that flew towards Weiceng Shuguo and bit into his skin. Afterwords they would disappear into a puff of smoke, but not before ripping a piece of their target's flesh off. After blowing his first breath, Zan Rong Quickly came forward and punched his opponent in the face.
Weiceng Shuguo stumbled back a few steps and caught himself but not before the a random turtle head came out of nowhere and snapped his leg off, "[Final Snap]!" The head came from the shell on top of Zan Rong's back. A small white portal opened up and the head was stretching out from it, shooting out toward Weiceng Shuguo.
"Here's the finisher! Prepare yourself, [Turtle Kick]!" Zan Rong screamed this out while the shell detached itself from his body and flew into the air. A thin, see-through membrane formed between the two halves, who positioned themselves high over Weiceng Shuguo.
Zan Rong jumped up high into the air and did a single flip, before he passed through the membrane and the image of a giant turtle covered in planets and stars overlapped with him. He flew down at a speed that was neither fast nor slow and pushed one of his legs out while bringing the other one in, "Hyahhhh!"
Weiceng Shuguo looked up just in time to see his demise as Zan Rong suddenly sped up to an incredible speed and phased through him as if Weiceng Shuguo was t even there. And with that, Zan Rong's opponent turned around to the man who was kneeling behind him and reached an arm out to grab at his shoulder.
He couldn't reach in time as he felt his consciousness disappear and he began to fall backwards. Just then, Zan Rong turned around and grabbed the outstretched arm. He slowly lowered the deceased man onto the floor and swiped his hand over his wide opened eyes in order to close them, "You were not the strongest opponent I've ever faced, but none the less I pay my respects to you."
Zan Rong stood and threw his fist into the sky to signal his victory and cheers broke out once more, but this time it was Zan Fu's army who was doing the cheering.
Kai Jun nodded happily while Zan Fu and the others high fives each other and hugged one another. All of them except for Braedon who couldn't help but say, "That kick was a reference!"
