Zan Fu did not summon out the claw right away. He decided that it was better to test the waters first before he used his full strength. Blue light shined from his palms as a blade entered his hand. While pointing the sword towards the boss, Zan Fu looked over to his side to see Braedon with a dagger in his hand.
"Braedon... is that one of the weapons that the warriors we fought earlier were wielding?"
"Yeah, why?"
"Do you seriously have nothing else?!" Zan Fu clearly remembered that he used to have a decently powered dagger back in the dungeon, but then he suddenly realized that the blade must be with the entity. "Oh my goodness. Here! Take this, I can assure you that it's much better than whatever the hell your holding."
Another sword appeared from the air all of a sudden and Zan Fu kicked it over to Braedon. He couldn't toss it over since both of his hands were occupied with wielding his heavysword. The sword he gave Braedon was a short sword with a plain looking design. It's appearance wasn't much different than the dagger he once held, but the material it was made out of was pretty high quality.
Braedon balances the sword in his hand for a few seconds and thanked Zan Fu for the assistance. Shu Rong pulled out her twin black daggers while Jingyi Lei held eight throwing knives between his fingers. Blue grinded his teeth together so tightly that one of his tooth actually chipped. His last remaining arm was clenched into a fist and he dug into his shirt in order to find his weapon.
Blue stopped digging as he realized that he didn't bring a weapon. He had been using whatever he could find on the battlefield as his weapon recently, but now there was nothing for him to use. He couldn't believe this! In the battle that mattered to him the most, he would barely be able to do anything!
"Blue. Try this out for size." Kai Jun screamed this out while throwing over his flying sword. Although it wasn't really used for fighting, it was still a powerful one-handed weapon that Blue could use. Blue turned around at his call and caught the blade in his hand. He spun around and flipped the sword upright while thanking Kai Jun for the equipment.
Kai Jun himself didn't pull out a weapon and instead just had his strange orbs float around him again. He was planning on choosing one to use after seeing the boss's fighting style. The group readied themselves and Braedon stepped up first.
"I'll start."
The boss held out his hand and signaled Braedon over with his fingers to in a challenging manner. Braedon took in a deep breath as filled the blade with some of his energy. He swung out and released a beam of power in the boss's direction.
The boss brought his arm up and blocked the beam with only his palm. But Braedon quickly moved in and brought the sword down over his opponent's head. The boss only took one step to the side in order to avoid the strike.
While he moved away from Braedon's attack, Shu Rong appeared out of nowhere and struck at his calves. The blades missed as the boss suddenly jumped up and flipped around until he was behind Shu Rong. He gave off a swift kick and his foot smashed into Shu Rong's ribs.
She flew backwards while coughing up some blood. Zan Fu moved in towards the boss and thrusted his heavysword forward. At the same time, Zan Fu screamed toward Braedon, "Hell Shu Rong our!" Braedon nodded and moved over to where Shu Rong landed. He released his aura and allowed some of his "heaven's force" enter into Shu Rong and heal her up.
Blue moved in along with Zan Fu. The two of them hacked and slashed at the boss with almost no success.
The boss didn't even strike back while dodging all of their attack. He spent his time mocking them instead, "Oh Blue, is it me or have you lost a little weight. It seems almost like an armload is missing. As for your other friend, he is just a bit too slow."
Blue's expression became an intense scowl as he began to feel some sort of phantom pain in his stump. Zan Fu had a calm face, but on the inside he was pissed. He grabbed Blue by his collar and dragged the two of them back a few meters, "Zan Fu, what the hell are you doing?!"
"Trust me!" While moving backward, Zan Fu threw his sword at the boss and he kicked the heavysword flying towards him aside in response. Zan Fu finally moved back far enough and stopped himself while dropping Blue beside him.
"What the hell are you planning?" Blue looked at Zan Fu like he was going mad. He didn't receive a response though.
Braedon appeared next to him a few seconds later with Shu Rong. He sat her down next to Blue and screamed out, "Jingyi Lei! Range support!"
Several knives flew at the boss as a voice responded, "Got it." Braedon ran up to Zan Fu and said to him, "Do you have a plan?"
"I have a skill and a hope."
"Good enough for me." Braedon stepped back and allowed Zan Fu to do his thing.
A strange fog began to pour from Zan Fu's body and cover the floor around them. The dust was completely covered by this fog and no matter how much he tried, Braedon just couldn't see through the fog. A powerful aura came from the fog and Zan Fu's eyes stared straight at the boss, "Try this in for size, {World Of Blades}"
A large assortment of weapons suddenly popped out of the ground and floated in the air. With a flick of of his wrist, the blades pointed toward their targets and flew at the boss.
Braedon, "That's such a cool name! Why don't my attacks have a cool name like that?!"
The boss's eyes squinted a little as the weapons flew directly at him. He moved from side to side and tried to avoid the blades, but his patience began to wear thin. The grabbed one of the blades and snapped it in half while punching a flail into pieces.
Braedon closed his eyes and allowed his strength to condense into the feather, "I'm going in."
"I'll try not to cut you into pieces."
Reason charged in at speeds incomparable to what he was traveling before. The boss looked over and was surprised by what he saw. His cultivation was at the peak of the sixth realm, Blue's was in the middle of the fifth realm at the fifth stage. Their strengths were leagues apart and that was why he could easily defeat Blue.
But the boy in front of him felt like he was only in the fourth realm, yet his speed surpassed that of even Blue. The boss ducked to avoid another knife and grabbed at the hilt tied at his side. He pulled out his sword and swung it toward Braedon with his full strength. He could no longer afford to play around.
The feather and the sword collided with one another causing pressure to fly out and knock back Jingyi Lei a bit. He ran out of knives and didn't know what to do. He was not trained in any close quarter combat techniques.
"I've become useless pretty quickly haven't I?"
Kai Jun watched as the battle between Braedon and the boss progressed before he finally chose to take action. He grabbed an orb and a sword wrapped itself around his arm, "{Blade Of Falcons}."
He swung his arm once and a sharp slice of air cut through the field. The boss turned around and used the blade to block the attack. While he was successful in stopping the wind slash, Braedon was able to cut a burning gash across his back. The boss turned back and kicked Braedon away in anger.
Dawson flew backwards a bit and landed next to Blue and Zan Fu. Shu Ring was also Marley healed up and she stepped up next to them with her blades out.
Kai Jun pointed his weird arm sword forward while Jingyi Lei just sold there and shrugged. Everyone began to surround the boss and give off an intimidating aura in his direction.
The boss looked around him increasingly annoyed. At first he thought that this fight would be an easy walk in the park, but now it was just becoming annoying to him.
"Enough!" The boss couldn't take it anymore and he released his full strength causing the air around him to tremble and shake. All of the weapons flying around him began to disintegrate and fall onto the ground as a powder.
"Oh come on! That's the last of my collection!"
The aura began to press down on the group. They felt as if a large amount of weight had been placed onto them and they could barely move.
"He's using his aura to suppress us. Becareful everone!" Kai Jun called out a warning to the others.
A flash of light flew by as the boss thrusted his sword out and stabbed into Zan Fu's chest.
Shock flew onto everyone's faces as he fell to the ground and clutched at his chest.
Shu Rong, "Zan Fu!" Braedon and Shu Rong ran over to check up on his condition. Zan Fu coughed a little but his condition was almost perfect. They looked at his body and saw that the sword didn't even pierce through the armor on his chest.
Braedon, "Dude, are you okay?" Zan Fu nodded while he struggled to stand up. He kept feeling his legs tremble beneath him as he was barely able to get back onto his feet.
Blue and Jingyi Lei ran up next to them with a worry written all over their faces, "Is everything alright?"
"Yeah, he is. But that doesn't improve our situation at all. Are any of you able to to stop that last attack the he gave off?" Shu Rong questioner then to see how they judged their current situation. Everyone shook their heads and even Zan Fu, who survived the first strike, could say if he was strong enough to handle another one.
Braedon looked toward the boss whose energy was still growing at an exponential rate, "If anybody has any secret techniques or something left to show, I suggest you use them now. If not then we are all going to die!"
