After many minutes of walking, he finally made it to the end. He was greeted by a large stone door that had multiple Chinese characters written on it by craftsmen, which read 'Chamber of Enlightenment.'
He placed his hand onto the door and channeled his qi into the door, making the characters light up with a white hue. Not long after, a spatial gate opened below Tiankong's body, sucking him in and closing up afterward.
He closed his eyes as he endured the travel to the special place. The spatial turbulence surrounding the path Huang Tiankong was enough to mince him into pieces, but thanks to a special energy, the turbulence felt by Huang Tiankong was lessened by a great extent.

Tens of minutes later, Huang Tiankong fell into a room, landing on the hard floor with a thud. He didn't mind the fall as he opened his eyes and hurriedly sat cross-legged. He knew what this place was and didn't want to be kicked out because of his own shortcomings.
"Name and purpose," a voice resounded throughout the room.
"Huang Tiankong, breaking through to the Ascended Mortal realm," Tiankong respectfully replied.
Not long after, silence filled the room but was broken a few minutes later.
"You have three hours time to break through to the Ascended Mortal realm with your chances being boosted by 20%. Good luck."
Afterwards, a blue fog covered Huang Tiankong's room as Huang Tiankong closed his eyes with a smile.
The blue fog was qi five times denser than the qi found in Verdant Breeze Town. That alone would definitely increase Huang Tiankong's chances of breaking through by 20%.
He channeled his qi towards the jade box he brought with him and opened it up, revealing the yellow pill their clan bought two weeks ago. Without hesitation, he put the pill in his mouth and swallowed it in one go.

A raging, powerful energy surged throughout Huang Tiankong's energy core, wanting to be released. This raging energy was the energy he needed to break through the First Gate that hindered most people from the Ascended Mortal realm.

He then absorbed the dense qi from his surroundings and, with the converted raging qi, converged all of it together in his energy core to form a dense ball of raging yet controllable qi.
With the dense ball of qi formed, he willed the ball of qi to head towards his heart, where the First Gate was. If he failed to break through the First Gate this time, then he wouldn't have any other chance in the future.
The speed the qi was travelling was getting faster and faster as it continued to move through his qi veins to get to where his heart was. Just a few seconds later, the dense ball of qi was greeted by a gate that multiple scribbles on it, which sealed a part of Huang Tiankong's potential.
This gate had large cracks all over, signifying that Huang Tiankong was already at the Half-Ascended Mortal realm, but just needed that small push to truly break through to the next realm.
He steeled himself for the oncoming pain and willed the ball of qi to crash to the gate.

The cracks on the gate expanded as it covered three-fifths of the gate, but it was still standing strong. On the other hand, the ball of qi shrunk in size by a small amount.
'Again!'

With one more crash to the gate, the crack expanded yet again, with the qi ball's volume shrinking.
Huang Tiankong had a feeling that the ball of qi would disperse after the next crash to the gate.
