"Shi Li... here's your weapon," Shi Xingwan smiled at his son as he gave the hammer he was holding. Shi Li received it wholeheartedly and smiled at his father.

"Thanks Father!"

"Haha, no need to thank me. I feel like I need to apologize to you," Shi Xingwan chuckled as he slowly released his grip from the hammer.

"What do you mea—" Shi Li asked, only to end with his face planted due to the sheer weight of the hammer.

Shi Li removed his grip from the hammer before standing upright, wiping off the dust from his robe. He looked at his father and was shocked to realize that his father was able to lift a hammer of that weight so easily.

"Father, why is this hammer multiple times heavier than the training hammer from the Logistics Hall?" Shi Li couldn't help but ask. He chose hammers because they were large and hard to avoid if the head was moving fast. He didn't pick them because they were heavy, even though he had the strength, he wanted to use the strength to augment the hammer's speed.

"Well with your tyrannical strength that can reach the peak of Tempering, how could I not change your reward?" Shi Xingwan mused.

Shi Li subconsciously took a step back as cold sweat dripped from his forehead. The secret that he was able to unleash a strength at the peak of the Tempering realm was only limited to him and Moddy. But all of a sudden, he remembered his final move in the tournament that went through a fivefold augmentation in strength.

Connecting the two together, he realized why his father said that. He lightly frowned as he replied, "Father, even though I can unleash that much strength, it's only limited to battles thanks to the certain martial techniques I've cultivated."

Shi Xingwan chuckled. "And so? You still have tyrannical strength nonetheless. The hammer I gave you weighs 60 ren, just exactly at the threshold of your normal strength. The training hammers available in the Logistics Hall only weighs around 10 ren."

He narrowed his eyes as he continued on with a serious tone. "Sure, you can say that wielding a light hammer with enormous strength allows it to move at high speeds. But remember that force is not only made up of speed, but mass as well."

"Giving you a 10 ren hammer is akin to giving a swordmaster a stick to wield. The techniques he can use are still there, but the power behind it is nowhere near as high. But when you're given a weapon equal to your current strength, only then would your power reach its peak."

Seeing that the logic behind his hammer was irrefutable, Shi Li sighed and decided to familiarize himself with the hammer once he leaves his father's room.

"Since you've given me this hammer that has two contrasting colors, what's the name of this hammer Father?" Shi Li asked as the memory of him giving a name to a weapon flashed in mind. Based on that, he felt that if he knew the name of the hammer, it would be easier for him to accustom to its weight.

Shi Xingwan smiled as he tried to delay the mentioning of the hammer's name. "Did you know that the hammer's head was made from the bones of the peak Bone Tempering beast you killed?"

"Huh?" Shi Li didn't expect that his father would mention something like that all of a sudden. "What's that go to do with anything, Father?"

"The beast you've killed was actually one of the most ferocious beasts in the Forest of Ruin, renowned for its strong defense and sturdy bones, the Skeletal Devourer. With its cultivation at the peak of Bone Tempering, its bones have become more sturdy, becoming a suitable material for the hammer head."

"Combine that with the shaft made from Dark Wood Steel, this hammer has reached the quality of Middle Human grade, it's even centesimally close to High Human grade!" Shi Xingwan shouted with awe before realizing what he said. "Oops, wasn't meant to say that."

"What's the name of the hammer Father?" Shi Li appreciated the explanation, but he wanted to know the hammer's name.

Shi Xingwan, seeing that his son was stubborn, gave in and sighed. "The name of this hammer, according to the craftsman, is the Yin-Yang Hammer."

He then continued, "The craftsman said that the name fits the hammer due to the color of the shaft and the head. The shaft being the Yin due to its darkness that emits a cold aura, and the head being the Yang due to its whiteness that reflects all light and even emits its own light as well."

Shi Li nodded and looked at the hammer that was still on the floor in a new light. 'Yin-Yang Hammer huh...it definitely fits!'

Bending his knees, he lifted the hammer up with both hands as he exerted his full strength. He then rested the hammer on the end of its shaft, making a loud bang that resonated throughout the room.

Shi Li bowed respectfully before turning around as he barely lifted the hammer with one hand. "Well Father, I have to go now. I still have to continue cultivating."

"Ah wait my child!" Shi Xingwan abruptly shouted as he remembered something.

"Hm?" Shi Li turned around to see a pouch dangling from his father's hand.

"I forgot to give you this a few months ago. This is the amount of money you've earned from killing those beasts, if you had these back then, I'm sure you wouldn't only be at the late stages of the second stage right now," Shi Li awkwardly laughed.

Hearing the word money, with his reformed ideology, he couldn't help but ask, "How much did I earn?"

Shi Xingwan solemnly said four words that made Shi Li drop on the ground.

"200 gold coins."

Putong!

Shi Li's mind was in a state of half-confusion and half-joy as he heard those sweet words. He knew that beast hunting was a profitable job, but he never knew it was that profitable!

And the fact that he was able to earn gold coins from killing beasts shook his mind even more.

According to [The Azure Dusk Continent] Shi Li read, coins were split into four grades: copper, iron, silver, and gold coins from lowest to highest respectively.

A gold coin could be exchanged for 10 silver coins, a silver coin could be exchanged for 100 iron coins, and an iron coin could be exchanged for 1000 copper coins. If you think that a normal family of 4 can live off of 10 iron coins for a month, the amount of money Shi Li received was truly mind-boggling.

But in the world of cultivation where money was a dispensable source, it was nowhere near enough to satisfy his needs in the future.

Shi Li received the money pouch from his father and fastened it on his waist before picking the hammer up again to start walking.

"Don't forget to pick your Low Human grade martial and movement technique from the clan library okay? As for the Grade 0 Cultivation Pill, just ask Senior Yan about that and he'll give you the pill," Shi Xingwan said in the last minute.

"I got it, Father. I'll be off then," Shi Li bowed respectfully to his father before finally leaving the room to follow his father's commands, to head towards the library.

Shi Xingwan kept up his smile for a while before sighing once more to go back to his desk.

He looked out of his room's window and saw the ecstatic faces of his clan members, thus making him worry more.

"Senior Yan, will this plan truly work as you say it would? Would he be able to become strong enough to participate for the Year-End Tournament?"
