He got his daggers and he ran towards the machine and sliced its arms. Dionne fell on the ground and was retrieved by Klein before the machine caught her again.
"Cevin," Dionne called out my name and tapped my shoulder. "I know you can do it. Just think about what you thought of a while ago. You want to be safe and to be protected, right? Think of that… your power may come out, I'm sure of it." Dionne assured me then held my hand.
"You are the main character of this story. The goddess chose you," she added, let go of my hand, and closed her eyes and started chanting a spell. There was a sphere of water coming out of her hand.
I looked at my right hand then looked at both of them who continued to fight. Even though Klein is tired of repeatedly slicing through the machine's arms, he wouldn't stop. Dionne kept casting her spells even though the machine is completely immune to it. They agreed to do my favor without asking any reasons why and here I am, being useless.
I have to help them.
I closed my eyes and began to think. I remembered what I was thinking a while ago. I was thinking of being in a peaceful place; a safe place. I was thinking of protection. I was desperate to be saved but unknowingly, I also thought of their protection.
I will use my power even though I am not used to it yet. I won't learn anything if I won't try and if I'll just stand here doing completely nothing. I don't want to depend on them until the odds turn different for us.

Suddenly, one big shield appeared to protect us. It was the kind of shied that I released a while ago. It protected us and it backfired any attacks dealt on us. If that happens, then the enemy in front of us won't be able to respawn like the machine we just dealt with earlier.
When Klein returned beside me and Dionne stopped to rest, we got surprised that the shield got bigger and became color green when a while ago, it was color yellow. The enemy did not release any power but every time it went near us, it gets thrown away by the shield as if a force field is around protecting us.

Klein and I embraced Dionne because the moment the machine exploded, the shield suddenly disappeared. I couldn't control its potential very well.
"Damn," I said under my breath because I thought we would be able to defeat the machine but why is it still alive?!
As the machine was floating towards us slowly, we got more surprised when suddenly, a hand went through the machine's chest.
