It was in the middle of Spring and that night, the wind was extra gentle. As the wind blew towards her hair, her slender fingers tucked some strands of her hair behind her right ear. Her red dress followed the wind and waved gently making her look stunning. Maybe she didn't want to go back to the party because she didn't know anyone there or perhaps it is the scenery of the night sky that captivated her attention.. anyways..
"Look, the sky is so beautiful tonight" she pointed towards the sky with an enchanting smile showing her teeth. Her eyes curved as she smiled.. the same smile that revealed her innocence
"There's something more beautiful than the night sky.." he accidentally slipped out.
"Where? where?" She turned her focus to Zhi Hei
"The girl in front of me" "You." he smiled as he glanced at her
Shi Xue blushed and became nervous as she couldn't look into his eyes anymore "I..I .. uhm thank you..."
Damn... something good actually came out of this party.. I guess.. it's not so bad after all....coming here. As Zhi Hei wanted to talk more with Shi Xue, a male voice came form behind... Ke Ze Yang..
Ke Ze Yang: "President Huang, it's so nice to meet you here." he reached out his hands to greet Zhi Hei. Zhi Hei shook his hands and responded "Nice to meet you too. Mr.Ke"
After loosening their hand shake, Ke ze Yang turned towards Shi Xue and said "We will be very late tonight, it is best for you to go home earlier in case you catch a cold in this weather. Don't bother Mr. Huang too much tonight."
Zhi Hei: "She is not a bother. It's my pleasure having her as my partner tonight."
A hint of sadness crossed Shi Xue's eyes as she nodded towards Ke Ze Yang before he said his good bye to the two of them.
Finally, it's only us again...he thought as he caught a glimpse of her sadness. Hmm.. does she like that guy...?
Zhi Hei: "Do you fancy that guy? He already has a partner and they are quite intimate with each other."
Shi Xue shook her head "He is my boyfriend." her eyes wandered to the night sky above as she held her face up to prevent any tears or sadness to reveal. But Zhi Hei saw her pinkish colored watery eyes as the stars reflected from it.
He sighed and remained silent keeping her company...
It was quite obvious that the man is cheating , yet she seemed to be hurt from him. Such a beauty, and he missed this diamond.
There was a moment where Zhi Hei had the thought of making her forget the man who is not good enough to match her, but he didn't dare think further because he is not in a place to say anything. They were just strangers who met for less than two hours from the party... Such a pity.. if there is a chance.. maybe someday in the future....
The rest of the time before they separated were just silence as they enjoyed the beautiful night accompanying one another. Of course, Shi Xue was enjoying the scenery... as for Zhi Hei, his mind and eyes were set on this young lady whose more attractive than the scenery...
Zhi Hei smiled as he recalled the flashback of when they first met at the party. She looked so sweet and innocent under the night sky and stood out amongst the party. Such innocence.. where could he find anyone in the business world or any field anywhere being able to smile and have no guards up with strangers... He sighed as he looked at the weak girl in front of him. What made her look so worn out and what kind of sufferings did she have...
He looked at her tender hands and wondered when this girl become this important to him..
The last time he was like this so close to her... ahh right... at that time...
