On a Sunday morning, Joleen took a quick shower, had breakfast then headed outside to spend the day with her best friend Liz. She started the car then suddenly pulled over by the gate of the villa as she caught an unusual sight. Chris was waiting by the gate in a very eye-catching black car.
"Chris! good morning, are you waiting for John? I believe he's still sleeping since he's a night owl." She said waving.
"Hi Joleen."
They both got off their cars and approached each other. He reached for her hand then gently pulled her closer to him. He closed his eyes for seconds while sniffing her tempting fragrance after planting a soft kiss on her blushed cheek. Joleen stood still then suddenly took a step back.
" Are you going somewhere?" He asked with a smiley face.
"Y..yes, I'm going to an art gallery with Liz". She replied while putting her hands behind her back.
"That's great, I'm sure you'll have so much fun."
"Yes I believe so. After all, art is my passion".
Chris hesitated a bit before he added
"Would you like to have dinner with me on the next weekend?"
"Of course I would love to! may I bring Ed too? You two should get along together since he'll soon be your brother in law!" She replied instantly.
Chris became speechless. The surprise and disappointment were clear on his face and he couldn't believe how dumb she could be. He was about to make it clear when she suddenly shouted after checking her watch.
"Oh my god! I'm going to be so late. Liz will kill me for sure! Sorry Chris, let's talk about this another time okay!"
He sighed deeply as he watched her getting into her car.
"Yeah sure, I'll have to explain a lot of things as soon as possible". Chris said in a low tone. He grabbed his phone and called John who was still in deep sleep.
"Wake up you sleepyhead, I'm by the gate".
"Stop yelling man. What time is it anyway? And why the hell do you seem irritated?" John said yawning.
"Tsk, just come down quickly. I'll explain later".
