Next day I wake up, my energy was full again, but standing up was hard anyway.

The wound on my leg is still there, every time I see it I get reminded of my own carelessness. I was already out, but I celebrated to early and got hurt. Pretty badly at that.

Doctors were the first ones to visit me today, mainly to tell me to stay down for a while. Examintation showed that all bones in my leg were crushed, some splinters pressing onto my nerves. They told me to take my meds and stay in bed for weeks, but we are too close to the demons continent to stay here for that long.

My recovery had to be faster, else our plan would be destined to fail. I desperately called for doctors and mages to solve my problem, but they kept telling me that the injury was too heavy to heal instantly, if it heals completely at all.

I'm not goint to be kept down by an injury! I will not be the kneehurt adventure giving up his dream! I will not sit back and watch how society falls to the demons!

" If you didn't notice, you don't have a choice. You cannot even move your leg, how would you fight?!" The fairy king was right, but grudgingly I refuse.

No, there has to be a way!

" What do you want to achieve? Amputate your leg and grow a new one? Good luck!" He might have said it jokingly, but the idea was good. The circumstances perfect for a childhood fantasy. I always fantasized about my arms being fused with blades, I already saw leprechauns that exchanges their knuckles with mytherite. It was the hardest metal they had.

With their enchantments, they were able to make the body accept it. Won't they be able to build a artifical leg too? I call for Laurin.

" Are you serious? You know that you cannot train a mechanical leg?"

Yes, but better than not having a leg at all. If they can make it controllable by magic, it will be fine. Wait, I was able to control swords, so if I give the leg blades, won't I be able to control it? And I would be able to train it aswell, while training my magic in the process...

L:" You called?"

Ce:" Yes, I have an idea. It is a weird one, so please sit down."

Laurin sits down at the side of my bed. Without hesitation I explain my plan.

Ce:" Are you able to make an articial leg?"

L:" Yes, but just waiting for it to heal would be-"

Ce:" I know what you are thinking, but let me speak. If we give it blades, there is the possibility to control it with my magic. We can even test it that way."

L:"... That might be true, but it would still be more immobile"

Ce:" Not if I train well."

L:" Then the strenght-"

Ce:" Imagine. A mytherite leg is harder than any stage that I can train to. It just needs to respond to my magic, I could even shoot it off mid fight if the connection was good aswell"

Laurin got caught unprepared. The plan didn't really have a gap of thought, it would just take a while for me to be effective.

L:" The only problem is... We don't have mytherite here. Our capital is full of it, but we would have to get in first..."

Well, there it was. The only thing that was able to stop me, risking others lives. Rushing in come the soldiers from yesterday.

"We overheard the conversation, we would volunteer to steal it." he said. Calmly.

Ce:" Do you know where it is? How risky it is?"

L:" I know where it is..."

I glare at him angrily. I wanted to get it out of his head and he said that...

"Not as risky as you going into the basilisk was. You saved our life, let us help you in return!"

I hated to admit it, but it was better than attacking without me.

Ce:" Fine. Prepare well, if the plan doesn't reach my expectation I will blow the mission off!"
