As I was supposed to, I was laying down in the medic tent, waiting for the artificial leg to be almost done. Even though I get updates every few seconds, it was boring. I mean, two hours of sitting around and doing nothing is taking its toll.

Well, the two hours weren't the end at all, so I had to stay quite a bit longer. Apparently, the oven had a hard time getting to the right temperature - probably because the outside walls of the oven couldn't contain it. Rocks are not a masterpiece of metallurgy, after all.

Just when I started to doze off, the scream:" START NOW" filled the tent. Suddenly three people came in. All of them were clad in white, sterile clothing, giving me an easy time to recognize them as the doctors. The fact that I already talked to them about this whole thing beforehand was helpful aswell.

The tall, blond elf seemed to be leading the operation. At least he was giving commands, to both me and the other doctors. I was told to lay down, take a rod of leather and put it in my mouth. Wondering what this was about I simply followed his orders. I got the grasp of it rather quickly, after he took out the leprechaun sword. It was glowing red, which is pretty rare for a metal which melts at over a thousand degrees Celsius.

To be honest, I didn't get it to that point. But I indeed did understand after he started to strike my leg with it. The leather was coming directly from shedded skin from Catalyt, but it still broke, leaving my clenched mouth pierced with whatever material was inside. I was too distracted from my leg being cut off, to actually pay attention to anything besides.

With the fourth hit he stopped, as the points of pain shifted. Instead of a whole leg hurting, it was now concentrated on the point it was cut off from. It wasn't less pain, just less place for it to spread on. That was not the point where I fainted yet. Nope. The hardest pain was yet to come:

A half molten metallic leg was pushed onto the fresh wound. Immense pain started to come up, the last thing I notice is: The pain is spreading.

The next... Whatever. Morning, noon, or evening - the sun was out. Still stuck in bed with enormous pain, I called out for someone to come. The first one I think I called was Laurin, yet Cecilia was the first one to come.

Cia:" Hey. Laurin told me to come in here..."

Ce:" Oh hey, I was actually calling for him. Well, I can ask you too"

Cia:" Ask me?"

Ce:" Ask you help me stand. I might be bedridden on my own, but with a little help I can start training the leg now."

Cia:" No. Seriously. I will not help you to push yourself, stay down in the bed. If you need to, try lifting the leg up while laying down. Leave the rest to me."

Ce:" You say that easily, but I was sweating a lot yesterday at the operation so I decided to wash myself"

Cia:" Yesterday, huh? It was a few days though. And who do you think washed you in that time?"

What. The. Hell. Is hell even real? I mean, a ball of energy doesn't really have a counterpart to rule over hell, does it? That matter aside, a few days passed?! God no wonder I was feeling this hungry...

But wait...

Ce:" Did you wash me?"

Cia:" Most of the time yes, Servve tried to once too but he was too embarassed because of something. No one wanted to tell me why."

Ce:" Can't help you there, I hope I wasn't too heavy or anything."

Cia:" I might be a woman, but my strength is nothing less than that of normal soldiers. I place myself somewhere between Rhage and Christian in that matter. I'll get you something to eat, don't try stupid things in the meantime!"

Ce:" Yes yes..."

I might've heard what she said, but why give up an opportunity to try things out. First of all, I try to focus my magic into the leg. It isn't moving. I try to focus more magic, but the only result I get is the battle mode. Unexpected weight causes me to fall off the bed, out of reflex I use my legs to catch me. Both of them.

Wait. My artificial leg moved easily. Is that why my magic couldn't move it? It seems to be already covered in it. It did seem weird that my whole body hurt, sudden movement of my whole mana could cause that... And it would explain why I fainted for this long aswell. This leg was practically mine now, right?
