"I’m kindhearted enough to find a way for us to survive, but here you are being very dishonest and reluctant about telling me such an important thing. . . " With great arrogance, Bai seemed to feel she’d been very wronged.

She was not a pretty girl, but a bossy woman!

Although Dongbo suffered from severe pain throughout his body, he still couldn’t help complaining.

He didn’t do anything himself, so how come he’d made her so unhappy just now?

Despite being puzzled, he was so weak that he was disinclined to argue with her.

"I must restore my strength as soon as possible and treat my wounds, otherwise the blood loss will hurt me badly. It seemed the old witch will come again tomorrow. If I cannot recover as soon as possible, it will be even harder for me tomorrow. . . "

Dongbo slightly clenched his teeth to endure the bitter pain that racked his body and struggled to slowly sit cross-legged.

The second step of Ling practice started to be activated gradually.

As a result of the intense fight against the insect, the vitality in his body had been completely consumed. His body was like a dry riverbed about to crack.

He had a great desire for raindrops!

The Ling practice operated and all the pores of his body slowly opened. A group of suction forces suddenly emerged to greedily swallow the Ling power between Heaven and earth.

Small amounts of Ling power were absorbed into his pores to penetrate his flesh and bones, moisten his injured body, and greatly relieve his pains.

The Ling power was like raindrops being absorbed by his dry body, as if it were a bottomless pit. Such a comfortable feeling almost made Dongbo cry out.

The Ling force was turned into the Ling power.

It was gathered in his body and slowly moved to the Dantian acupoint.

The places where it had passed became a piece of warm and moist land, like soaking in a hot spring, so refreshing and warm that he even wanted to groan.

With the operation of the Ling practice, his body avariciously absorbed the Ling force, and the Ling power in his body was quickly restoring.

The dry riverbed gradually became wet, then the creek appeared, and finally turned into a torrent, which was surging and running through his body.

He just wanted to recover enough strength to treat the injuries. But since he started cultivation, the feeling was so refreshing that it made him resistant to stop at all. He just ran the cultivation over and over again, quite indulged in the wonderful feeling.

In his obsessive cultivation, the Ling power in his body had been restored unconsciously. However, it didn’t stop and continued to grow at a slow speed.

He was shocked when he felt hungry and awakened. The crooked moon in the sky was about to disappear and a glimmer of glow lit the horizon.

"How long have I been practicing?" Dongbo was a bit stunned.

The night seemed to pass very quickly.

He was so indulged in cultivating that he didn't notice the quick passage of time. When he could see everything with his eyes, he had to admit that it had been a long time.

Gurgle gurgle. . .

His stomach was grumbling.

Dongbo could not help but reach out to press on his stomach.

Such a move shocked him again.

All the scratches had already become hard scars and he could not feel any pain at all.

"Awesome!" Dongbo was delighted.

He had been worried about how he would be able to fight against the witch tomorrow when his injuries were so bad, but now. . .

Rustle rustle. . .

Bai walked out of the stone pagoda and along the grass.

"Aunt. . . " Dongbo quickly covered his stomach and rolled over to stand up.

He was absolutely starving!

His stomach was like a stone mill with nothing to grind and his intestines seemed to have been knotted up.

"Why do you call me? Do I know you?" Bai squinted with a long face and continued to walk away without glimpsing at him.

Dongbo was stunned; what was wrong with her?

"Something wrong with me?" Dongbo asked as he closely followed her.

It wasn’t the right time for him to act tough.

He wanted to ask her where he could find something to eat. He had to eat now, after all!

"You are a genius; a genius is generally right!" Bai said ironically.

Genius?

Dongbo was shocked.

When he was in Lingmen, many people called him a bastard; nobody had ever called him a genius.

"Double Wu Ling, aren’t you a genius?" Bai glanced at him and snorted angrily.

"Ah!" Dongbo was dumbfounded. "How did you know that?"

"I have already told you that I’m so smart that nobody can cheat my eyes!" Bai raised her face slightly with quite a bit of arrogance.

"Aunt. . .  We’ve only just met. Aren’t I allowed a secret or two?" Dongbo was not very confident, so his voice was much lower.

Bai was a little surprised and her solemn face relaxed a bit.

"Hmph! Since it’s your first offense, I guess I’ll give you another chance!" She finally couldn’t hide the curiosity in her big eyes and asked immediately, "What is your second Wu Ling? Tell me and I will forgive you."

She’d been so curious about the subject that she’d barely slept all night, as she’d tossed and turned,  wondering what his second Wu Ling was.
