Chapter 57—The Prince Has Died

“Chenling.”

Hearing Mo Qingli’s voice, Feng Chenling’s heart swelled with hope. He released the hairpin in favor of wrapping his hands tightly around Mo Qingly, excitedly saying, “Wife, wife, I’m right here, I’m right here!”

Mo Qingli raised a hand to stroke Feng Chenling, giving a faint smile. “Fool, I’m fine.”

Obstructed by Feng Chenling’s body, Mo Qinghan had not noticed that Mo Qingli had reawoken. She was still under the impression that she had mortally wounded Mo Qingli, leaving her in a comatose state.

That was a fair assumption; ordinary people, when faced with the strength that Mo Qinghan had used, would have been severely injured if they hadn’t died on impact.

Seeing that Feng Chenling had tossed away the hairpin, Mo Qinghan immediately rushed towards him. However, just as her hands wrapped around his elbow, ice-cold fingers suddenly grabbed her arm.

Mo Qinghan followed the length of the hand until she was staring into a pair of frigid black eyes. Killing intent flashed within the pupils, forcing her to retreat two steps backwards.

In that moment she felt the terrifying presence of death surround her, violently wrapping over her in a shroud, causing her to tremble in terror.

“You…” Mo Qinghan wanted to attack the woman in front of her with the wooden stick. However, she realized that she had discarded it at some point before, leaving her vulnerable to the now approaching Mo Qingli. Instead, she raised her hands into a fighting stance over her chest, spitting out a mouthful of saliva, and reminded herself that her opponent was no match for her — she was a trained martial artist, while this was only a sluggish, imbecilic woman!

Now that she had carefully thought it over, the matter didn’t seem as frightening to her. The killing intent she had felt just a moment ago had dissipated as well. Mo Qinghan released a sigh of relief — she really had made a mountain out of a molehill, thinking that someone like Mo Qingli, this imbecile, had been frightening. It really was laughable.

Mo Qinghan urged her body to circulate inner energy once again. Raising a palm, she rapidly moved towards Mo Qingli. “Idiot, why don’t you go die!”

She loudly bellowed in rage, her mouth curled upwards into the self-satisfied grin of a victor. Idiot, anyone that’s ever dared to try and steal a man from me has gone straight to Hell, and you aren’t the exception!

However in a moment, Mo Qinghan’s self-satisfied smile froze on her beautiful face. The grin shattered into an extremely painful expression.

“Ah—arrgh!”

Mo Qingli loathingly released Mo Qinghan’s palm, letting her fall the floor limply. Ni Cui rushed from the distance to support her, massaging the broken wrist.

Ah—urgh,” Mo Qinghan grunted, using her other free hand to push away Ni Cui. “Scram!”

She furiously stared at Mo Qingli.

How could Ni Cui dare to actually scram? Instead, she backed away slightly, ready to step in an support her mistress at any time.

This Sixth Princess’s reaction is really violent, really, to dare and snap the Fourth Princess’s wrist like that! Her speed is almost unbelievable, too. It looks like all the rumors about her being weak were false. Not only does this princess know how to use martial arts, but it seems like she’s a master! Ni Cui thought to herself.

The bodyguard crouching at the side stared at the scene, her clothes drenched with sweat and face stark white. When she had first arrived the Fourth Princess had knocked out the Sixth Princess with a head injury, and then the Sixth Princess turned the tables around by snapping her wrist! If the Empress were to know about this matter, wouldn’t her entire family be in danger? She had only just taken a husband not that long ago — it looked like her newly wed husband was now made a widow.

Thinking of her handsome and adorable new husband, the bodyguard then looked up to the sparring princesses. She grinded her teeth, before finally making her decision: stamping her feet, she loudly yelled, “The prince, the prince has died!”
