He almost seemed like a decrepit old cat about to breathe its last as he laid atop that platform. Even when he laid eyes on me, he barely had the energy to open his eyelids or even pay us any heed. “Mama, is that Anmi?” As she sat on my shoulders as always, Mo Na pointed in the direction of that enfeebled cat. Then, in an unsure voice, she asked once more, “That’s Anmi, right?”
