Arthur ran into the corridor and the zombie general quickly gave chase after him. The general would not give up the chase because the best time to strike an enemy was when they attempted to flee.

The corridors of the maze were already quite small for someone of Arthur's size. Therefore, for the zombie general, which was already larger than Arthur without the additional armor, had a harder time navigating the maze compared to Arthur.

However, this did not mean that it slowed the general down by much. This was because Arthur had his own problem to deal with.

As the young man moved away from the throne room, the source of light dwindled. Previously, Arthur depended on his lamp to move around in the maze but that was shattered in the battle earlier.

Arthur could have used his shout to navigate his way through the maze but that meant slowing down to start shouting. That was a bit hard to accomplish when the young man was already busy catching his breath as he tried to escape from the zombie general's pursuit. If he stopped to issue a shout for echolocation, Arthur did not have full faith that he would not be snatched up by the zombie general. That was a risk that the young man did not want to take.

In other words, both the pursued and the pursuer had their own difficulty to tackle as they ran through the maze corridors. Nevertheless, it was often the pursued that felt the full brunt of the pressure in a situation like this.

After all, the zombie general had nothing to lose if Arthur slipped away but Arthur had everything to lose, including his life, if the zombie general caught up to him.

That concern weighed down on Arthur's mind and it amped up the fear factor as the young man slithered through the maze.

Arthur was so focused on running that he did not have the time to turn back to look. Nevertheless, the young man did not need to do so to know how close the zombie general was behind him.

The suit of armor jingled noisily as the zombie general moved through the corridor and his footfalls created an echo that travelled down the hall. With his acute hearing, Arthur could tell where exactly the zombie general was in relation to his position and he realized the general was slowly catching up to him.

This made the young man's heart squeeze with consternation. He told himself, 'Arthur, you only need to hold on a little bit longer. You're close to your destination!'

As Arthur continued his race into the maze, the light dimmed. Soon, Arthur felt like he had lost his direction. 'Crap, I don't remember that place being so far back!' Arthur thought nervously.

Arthur heard a different movement in the air and he leaped forward into a roll. A powerful arm swiped the space that the young man had just vacated seconds ago. Sweat from the exercise and nerves were running down Arthur's face.

He quickly picked himself up from the ground and continued running. Stale air of the crypt travelled down his lungs to be oxidized as energy to power the muscles in the young man's legs.

Arthur's heart made a leap of good cheer when the young man ran for another 3 minutes. He finally arrived at the destination that he had in mind. It was a particular stretch of road in the maze that was narrower than the other.

Arthur slipped into the narrow corridor and he paid close attention to the sound of footfall behind him. At the moment Arthur managed to make sure the zombie general had entered the same stretch of corridor, the young man turned around with a wicked smile on his face.

"Got you now!" Arthur uttered through his gasps for air.

The zombie general did not react to Arthur's taunt. He soldiered onwards like the mindless puppet that he was. His only goal was to take down Arthur, the nuances in battle were beyond his comprehension and that was going to be the reason why he would lose this battle.

Arthur reached into his pocket to grab 3 objects and hurled them at the zombie general. Even through the darkness and the distance, it quickly registered in the general's mind what they were.

They were his Archilles' Heels.

He tried to evade it. He could have evaded it in any direction he wanted if he was back at the throne room but since he was trapped inside a narrow corridor, there was only one direction he could use.

The general's two sides were walled in and he could only move forward or backwards. The threat from coming from his front so the only thing he could do to avoid it was to move backwards.

Arthur had already anticipated that. This was the reason why he had expended so much energy to race through the maze. It was to find this strategic location to entrap the zombie general.

While the liquid vials sailed through the air, the young man channeled his voice to create a wall of force behind the zombie general. He accomplished this through the use of both Voice Throwing and Vocal Materialization.

The aim was not to knock the general down, he knew he would not be able to do that. He was not strong enough. The aim was instead to hold the general in place, to close his escape route and that was doable.

The zombie general was thus holed in. The three objects that Arthur threw were actually the three health potions that he bought at Celestia.

From how the zombie general acted around the pool of oil in the throne room, Arthur had the sneaking suspicion that his weakness was the element of water. The way the general reacted when Arthur lobbed the vials of potion at him only confirmed this suspicion further.
