Rei and Ban met up with the others while Rei had finished his drink.
"Rei chan did you enjoy your drink?" Diane asked.
Rei nodded as he happily smiled from the first taste of blood after 12 years. Rei suddenly felt a pulse of fatigue causing him to stumble. Grabbing on to a table, Rei quickly asked the system what was going on.
[Host is experiencing a metamorphosis since host had replenished the body with blood after 12 years.]
'Host long will it take to finish metamorphosis?' Rei asked while he clutched his head causing everyone else to worry.
[A few days to maybe weeks.]
Rei nodded as he looked at Meliodas.
"Hey dad, I'm really tired right now...I head off to sleep first..." Rei said as he fainted.
As soon as Rei fainted, a blood cocoon wrapped around his body causing the others to be worried.
"Hey captain, I think it's because kiddo hadn't drank blood for so long. We know that vampires get their mana from blood so maybe that's what's happening to the kiddo. His body is adapting to the increase of mana." Ban said looking at the blood cocoon.
"Maybe..." Meliodas said looking at the cocoon before lifting it and bringing it to Rei's room.

Rei saw his stats as he finally woke up.
"Mid king huh...." Rei mumbled as he had a look at his body. Not much had changed except for the fact that his skin looked soft and more nourished. He could also feel his mana Reserves being a lot bigger.
"Show me Meliodas' current combat rank." Rei said getting off of the bed.
[Half step world]
"And to think that this is merely left overs after his power was taken by Merlin." Rei said as he looked out and saw that hawk mama was near the place where they would find King.
Seeing that he still had some time before the group returned Rei sat down and summoned out his zanpakuto.
"Kyoki, Tengoku....It's been a while." Rei said looking at his zanpakuto.
'Yeah took you long enough to unlock us again.' Kyoki called out in his mind.
'It seems like your foundations and control are much better this time.' Tengoku commented.
"Yeah, I had to train with dad and Merlin who liked to hammer in the basics into me." Rei said smiling.
'But it is for good reason so it seems. You can hold a fight much better now.' Tengoku said which Kyoki agreed.
"So how far can I access my abilities now?" Rei asked.
'You can hold only my Bankai for little while. As for Kyoki, he is experiencing some change so it'll take a while to use him.' Tengoku said.
'Yeah don't worry about it. In the time I'm gone, Tengoku should be able to help you solve your problems.' Kyoki said.
"Hmm well I hope what ever had changed will be good for you." Rei said with a smile.
'Hahahaha Rei, I'll be stronger than ever when I finish so just you wait.' Kyoki said as his voice grew fainter.
"I will." Rei said as he unsummoned Kyoki.
"Say Tengoku, do you have any idea who Eve is? I remember her name but not much else."
'Same here. Someone had probably tampered with the memory itself. The only way to undo it is to ascend to the higher realms so it seems.' Tengoku said as she is part of his soul, her memories were altered as well.
"Hmmm..... I guess that's the only way." Rei said shaking his head.
"Well I'll call you out when I'm in trouble ok Tengoku. But it's nice to have you here again." Rei said looking at the blade in his hands.
'It's nice to be back Rei. See ya.' Tengoku said as Rei unsummoned her.
Rei then went down to the kitchen to make a meal welcoming the Meliodas and the others back.
It wasn't long until the rest of the group returned with the addition of King. They were confused as they could see smoke come out of the chimney and then realised what could of happened. They looked at each other before nodding and rushed into the tavern. Inside they saw Rei with an apron on waiting for them.
"Yo, you guys hungry?" Rei said as he turned around with a smile.
"Kiddo, you're finally up? What happened back there?" Ban asked.
"Just my body catching up to what my strength should have been. Now I'm alot stronger." Rei said as he looked over to Ban.
"What say we have a barbecue outside?" Rei asked.
"Sure." Meliodas said as he helped carry some of the items.
"Hey King nii san long time no see...and you seemed to have lost alot of weight." Rei said looking at King.
"My other form was much better than this one. So much nobility and you couldn't even understand it." King said laying on his pillow.
"Hey it's all about perspectives." Rei shrugged as he brought the ingredients outside.
Whilst everyone was eating, King brought up the question about their sacred treasures.
"Say, I've noticed that all of you don't carry your sacred treasures with you. Do you have it stored away safely?" King asked eating a skewer of meat.
"Lost mine." Diane said with her tongue out.
"Sold mine." Meliodas said as he gave a grin.
"Mine got stolen." Ban said drunk.
"I just made mine." Rei said as he drank blood from a cup.
"Shame on you!" King said with a snort in his fat form.
"Captain why did you sell yours, Ban how did yours get stolen and Rei how did you make yours?!?!" King asked.
"Well I needed money for the tavern." Meliodas said scratching the back of his head.
"Mine was stolen when they put me in the prison." Ban replied drinking some more ale.
"I just made it now with my magic after I drank Ban nii san's blood. See." Rei said summoning Tengoku.
"Hmm what does it do?" King asked.
"He hee~ S e c r e t. I'll tell you guys next time." Rei said finishing his drink and stabbing a straw onto Ban's wrist refilling his cup.
King only shrugged as Hawk was curious.
"Aren't these guy's doing pretty well without the sacred what evers?" Hawk asked.
"You see sir pig, if a lake is the total mana a sin has. Then how much mana can you gather using your hands? However, with the sacred treasures. We are able to draw out the full potential. With the exception of Rei and Merlin since they have great control over their mana they don't need a scared treasure to help them draw out more." King said demonstrating with the lake.
"I see....THEN WHY DID YOU SELL YOURS!!!" Hawk shouted as he grabbed Meliodas with his hooves.
"Hahahaha, Hawk. Dad needed some money for the tavern after all. Without it, I wouldn't have been able to cook you this food." Rei said causing Hawk to pause.
"Fine only because it gave us good food." Hawk said as he started to eat once again.
"Don't you have your priorities wrong?" King commented seeing Hawk like that.
The group only chuckled while they continued their barbecue.
