A resounding bang ran out as Rei crashed into the ground. Looking around, Rei could see that the sky was made from a myriad of colours, there were also an assortment of rocks placed every where around him. In the centre, Rei could see a huge tree as he knew where he was.
"You're kidding....I'm where the druids are..." Rei muttered.
Rei stood up when he saw three people surrounded him in hostility.
"Would you believe me if I said I didn't mean to intrude?" Rei asked with a slightly forced smile.
"As if, who are you. How did you break through the barrier?" Jenna asked. She was a short woman with blond braided hair. She wore a long dress of red as she pointed her staff at him radiating with holy magic.
"You won't believe me but I'm Rei, I was in purgatory for a few centuries before flipping off the demon king, jumped through the gate of purgatory and landed here." Rei said lifting both hands above his head.
"How are you alive after spending a few centuries in purgatory." Jenna asked with a slight frown.
"I'm immortal." Rei said simply.
"Bullshit." Jenna replied instantly.
"It's true, try me. Unless you want me to do it instead." Rei asked.
"Do it." She said still on guard.
Rei only shrugged before summoning a few swords and teared a hole in his torso. Leaving it for them to see, Rei regenerated his wounds.
"Tadaa~" Rei said shaking his hands a little.
"Ok then why were you with the demon king in purgatory." She asked getting to one of the main questions that she had.
"Well....Let's just say he wanted to make me his successor instead of dad and basically kidnapped me." Rei said.
"Who's your dad." Jenna asked as she had someone in mind but wanted Rei to clear it up.
"Meliodas, dragon sin of wrath, son of the demon king." Rei said shocking Zaneri who was the sister of Jenna. She had black braided hair, a white dress and was short like Jenna. She was in love with Meliodas so she was shocked to hear he had a child.
"Who is you mother?" She asked hesitantly hoping that it wasn't Elizabeth/Liz for that matter.
"Don't know, dad picked me up as a kid 16 years ago I think?" Rei said as he wasn't sure after the time he spent in purgatory.
Zaneri quietly sighed in relief.
"So where are you going to go now?" Jenna said as she didn't feel any signs of lie from Rei.
"Actually can I stay here for a while? Like till dad comes to get his power." Rei asked.
"Hmm, why do you want to stay here?" Jenna asked.
"Well, I know that dad and everyone else can handle themselves for now so I want to relax and train quietly while I have the chance. If possible, I want to also improve in healing magic." Rei said truthfully. With all the stress of scheming against the demon king and not letting him find out, to fighting every day. Rei wanted to settle down for a little bit before he prepares to fight the 10 commandments.
"Sure, but you'll have to do some chores around here and depending on your talent, we may or may not teach you healing magic." Jenna said as she retracted her magic.
"Zaneri, would you please show Rei to a spare room?" Jenna asked. Zaneri nodded before she lead Rei away.
"So can you tell me about how Meliodas has been over these years?" Zaneri asked when they were alone.
"Hais, your just like Eli chan when she was younger." Rei said.
"Well he is cheerful, runs a bar with me. Likes to train me a lot and loves to sexually harass Eli chan." Rei said causing Zaneri to pause slightly at the last sentence.
"By Eli chan do you mean Elizabeth." She asked.
"Yup." Rei said causing Zaneri to sigh. She then lead him to his room without a word. Just before she turned around to leave, Rei opened his mouth.
"You know dad is extremely faithful to Eli chan right." Rei said halting Zaneri in her steps.
"Yes I know." She said.
"Then why do you persist if you know? You just hurt yourself more." Rei said not understanding why she would harm her self like this.
"...I can't forget him nor do I want to forget him so I can't stop loving him." Zaneri said as she walked out.
"I can't forget him nor do I want to forget him so I can't stop loving him huh? Is that the same for me and you Eve?" Rei muttered as he laid on the bed drifting off to sleep.
Rei woke up the next morning feeling more refreshed than ever especially after his time in purgatory. He went out his room and saw that everyone was still asleep. He walked down as he saw a kitchen.
He looked around and saw some ingrediants that he could use and decided to make them some breakfast.
'I guess this can count as rent.' Rei though while he got to work. The rest slowly woke up by the aroma of food. Walking down, they saw Rei with an apron cooking enough food for four people.
"Morning." Rei said as he turned his head slightly.
"Hou~ I didn't know that you could cook." Jenna said looking at Rei.
"Well, I was the chef at Boars Hat that I run with dad so I must know how to cook. Sit down, it should be done soon." Rei said while the other three sat down.
Soon the food laid in front of the trio as they gulped down slightly. They looked at each other before they took a bit simultaneously.
Rei took his chance to turn his head as he didn't want to see the three have foodgasms especially the muscular man. Rei only ate with a smile as he heard them complement his cooking.
Rei finished first while the others were still savouring his food making sure that none go to waste.
"I'll go out first, when your finished leave it in the sink, I'll clean it up later." Rei said as the trio nodded.
Rei walked out to the open field as he summoned out Tengoku and Lostvayne. Creating a clone with equal strength and technique, Rei started to fight against himself restraining his strength and instead use only technique. Using this, Rei is able to see the holes in his moves improving himself the more he fights.
It didn't take long for the trio to come out as they watched Rei train with some interest as they could feel an overbearing amounts of holy element ready to be unleashed from Rei's sword, Tengoku. Taking a break, Rei walked over to the trio.
"Is my training really that interesting?" Rei asked as he could feel their intense gaze on him the whole time.
"Hahaha no but we were interested with the sword. The holy element in it is like a vast ocean. Where did you even get this sword?" Jenna asked looking at Tengoku in Rei's hand.
"Well it's my soul sword. A zanpakuto. It originates from my soul and I'm guessing the holy element you're feeling is Tengoku's Bankai form." Rei said holding up Tengoku.
"Hou~ a sword that comes from the soul huh. Hey can you show me the bankai form or what ever you call it?" Jenna asked.
"Sure step back a little." Rei said as he held Tengoku up in front of his face.
"Bankai!" Rei shouted as a sudden energy storm exploded from him filled with holy element. A golden beam shot upwards as the trio had to shield their eyes.
"Nanatsu no Tengoku." Rei said as he scattered the light revealing his Bankai form. This time, there had been some slight changes this time due to the fact that he had changed significantly ever since he interacted with the seven sins. His 14 wings glowed with a brighter sheen of white and gold, his hair extended slightly to half way down his back, a golden halo could be seen above his head as his armour looked more holy with a mixture of white and gold with cloth extending from the waist to his ankles coloured white.
"Angel...." Jenna muttered seeing this form of Rei's.
Rei soon undid his Bankai as the energy it consumed was still to large to be used easily.
"How is this possible, you're a demon yet you use holy element...." Jenna said as she looked at Rei.
"Well what can I say? I'm a man with many secrets and talents." Rei said shrugging.
"We have some holy element spells as well if you are interested to learn." Jenna said as the druids had always worshiped the goddess clan. And seeing Rei become a literal angle with 14 wings, Jenna had wanted to assist Rei as much as she could.
"Sure." Rei smiled as he would be increasing his arsenal of weapons for him to use.
