The moon is high and the sky is clear of clouds. It's the middle of the night and only now did the emperor stood up to leave his study.
Jiang Yu only plan to breath some cold air to wake him up and then return right after. At the imperial study, memorials full of complaints buried the real important issues.
He scorns towards his incompetent officials. There are things that must take priority but here they are, making a mess of the slightest things! The emperor spent a good amount of the day just reprimanding the head eunuch for blindly receiving the memorials; entirely wasting his day on useless reports.
On his walk, he reaches the lake pavilion. Remembering his empress who likes to play around here, Jiang Yu turn towards Xian Feng Palace.
He suddenly wanted a glimpse of a sleeping Wei Yi Yi. And thus, he dismissed the servant doing the night vigil. Jiang Yu walk into her inner chamber and sat beside a peacefully sleeping Wei Yi Yi.
Wei Yi Yi sleeps on her side. Plenty of blankets covering her. She coiled in like a fetus. Or like a child holding onto something. Her fringes slip down to cover her face.
In a soft action, Jiang Yu lightly swept them away for her.

With a light chuckle, Jiang Yu playfully trace her face. Finding it funny, he pokes at her cheeks. Seeing no response, he brushed his fingers thru her lips.

And finally, his empress reacted to the touch.
