Duncan looked around, and sure enough this really was a challenge by the guardian spirits of dragons.

Everywhere he looked, dragon wraiths and ghosts stared at him enchantingly as if the room wasn't intimidating enough to be in without their presence…

He couldn't worry about Enna anymore, no, because the hallway bifurcated, and branched out until he could hardly breathe in air…

[Ding! Host has currently arrived at the threshold of the second challenge…]

[System has accessed information on this challenge in its database, and even though this is considered cheating… It is recommended that host walk into the second room on the right…]

[This challenge is known as the luck challenge, and has been written about by one of the top survivors whom is now a general…]

[Chances of survival without the system would be 1 / 25 according to the general who watched multitudes of his allies fall into the abyss.]

"So… don't trust my instincts?" Duncan almost died as he chose the first room, and the big eyes of dragon wraiths were holding their mouths from laughter…

Obviously, he didn't want to die, so he walked out slowly after feeling the floor…

Whoosh!

A gigantic rock fell to the bottom of a precipice, and something screamed, Ow! When the first brick, and then the second and third brick fell….

[Ding! Host has acquired 400 experience for killing a magma born zombie… and has successfully fooled the dragon ancestors…]

[Ding! Host has acquired + 10 ES points for successful act of deception!]

Sigh!

Duncan sighed and walked out as the dragon ghosts gawked, which then after kept following him down the correct pathway…

[Ding! The general in my database called the third challenge, the unmentionable challenge… Currently, there is no data on the third challenge, so host must take full caution!]

"Hmmm, unmentionable… maybe I should be quiet…"

[Ding! That is a very good idea, and perhaps the word unmentionable could mean no talking… However, please take extreme caution!]

Not the least bit worried, Duncan summoned phoenix because he was a necromancer, and he died well over ten minutes ago…

"Phoenix…. I want you to walk into that room, and don't make any nose!" He whispered but Phoenix soon developed a look of purpose in his eyes…

"Meh heheheheheh!" He said I got it, and sure enough he made very little noise before his tip toes were chopped off…

"…I don't think it has anything to do with being quiet, system.."

[Ding! It is recommended to take ten minutes and try summoning Phoenix again…]

[Currently, wormy is still underground, and Enna has yet to be found according to the little flesh worm…]

"I can handle ten minutes!" Duncan didn't want to wait, but obviously Phoenix taking -3000 damage instantly told him to stay back…

Currently, as a zombie, his max health was 1200, so with defense included he'd lose more than toes…

Waiting…

Waiting…

He waited patiently, and Phoenix walked down the tunnel with the moss covered bricks, and sure enough… it had something to do with those bricks…

Phoenix looked at him with respect, and then it tried stepping on a different brick then last time…

This time, the first step became an instant success, and he braved forward as Duncan sighed waiting for him to make it through…

It became obvious, then, that Phoenix would die more than twenty times, and sure enough… four hours passed…

Enna began to worry about him, but she currently found a modest mountain, and Duncan could rendezvous with her if he survived…

There was lots of little reasons he could die, like the dropping tiles, or the gigantic fists that blasted out if you stepped into the third trial wrongly…

However, Phoenix just kept respawning over and over…

Finally, he realized the pattern, and a startling realization hit him… it was unmentionable because it always changed!

In fact, Duncan ended up flying to the other side, and he closed the monster's book before turning back into a zombie!

[Ding! Host has reached the fourth and final stage of the dungeon… Please take extreme caution against the final boss, the Dragon Golem, Encarta Maximus… ]

"Uhm, so I have to fight that thing?" Duncan pulled out his silver sword, and instantly regretted being level 12…

Encarta Maximus (Enchanted Golem)

Level 19

Health 8000 / 8000

Attack Power 4000 / 5000

Durability 300 / 500

Versus him was Duncan… and the dragon ghosts began placing bets much to his dismay… Hence, he summoned Phoenix, and sent him forward…

"This little scoundrel dare cheat the great ancestor!"

"Hmph, he'll be found out… He'll die and we'll never give him the catalyst!"

"Stop shouting! He can't hear you, Joran… Plus, the ancestor doesn't consider necromancers anything but the greatest specimen in the entire universe!"

Indeed, Duncan couldn't hear them, and he swung his blade as Phoenix floated around with his newly attached wings…

Swoosh!

He twirled away from a fierce black colored fist, and duck in as he slashed with Phoenix…

-40 Health

-50 Health

-100 Health…

Their damage was small, and the dragon golem seemed to have Health regeneration… so, this battle would end up going on forever…

The entire time, though, Duncan finally felt his martial art training coming into play… How many zombies would know how to back flip, and spin, and also be a necromancer…

This golem was clearly meant for normal folk, and he trained to the peak of power as a transcendent… After hours of military training as well, the golem felt extremely peeved…

Why can't I hit him?

Why can't I hit him?

As a level 19 golem, he was supposed to test them to near death, and if they were qualified he'd kill them anyway…

Hence, all the catalysts for commanders had never been given out, but if he died… the entire collection could be taken!

No one ever thought a level 12 zombie could bolster himself with a little flying skeleton, and he swung and jumped but he still lost health!

"You little zombie! Stop moving and take it like a man!"

Whoosh!

Duncan spun in the air as Phoenix kept doing – 20 health to the large golem, for three hours, and finally his silver sword blanketed the golem with death…

Bang!

The sound of the golem's flesh being torn sounded like a grinder grinding, and finally, it turned red and entered berserk mode!

[Host has reached a stage not mentioned by the general… He had snuck behind the golem without activating it, and found a completely intact collection…]

[However, it seems that the monsters attack power has likely increased by 25%... and it seems to be based on some sort of charm…]

"I've been made by dragons! Kneel before me vermon!" The golem sounded proud, but it had no way of winning…

Duncan noticed it got even slower then before, and…. Phoenix could've beat this golem…

"Blood Slash!" Duncan sent out a gigantic, terrifying set of slashes over and over again… before Phoenix kicked the golem in the head…

"AHHHH!"

[Ding! Congratulations! Host has successfully killed the dragon golem and has completed the fourth challenge! Host has currently been surrounded by some time of weird gas…]
