Twenty days passed, and Duncan remained in the bottom of that hole for the troops above to depart…

Levana had already left the cave to adventure on her own as he waited patiently under the bedrock, and he sat as a pile of bones flipping through a new book on a moon demon tactical skill…

"This appears to be a secret art of the Aris clan… System, are you sure I can't download it?"

[Ding! Host is unable to download the skill because the skill is a race specific skill, and the systems sensors are no longer picking up any surface activity…]

"It's about time…" Duncan yawned and opened and closed the monster book transforming back into an imp… A second later, Wormy came back with some flesh just incase his master wanted to zombie out with some food, and overall it was happy they were finally leaving from this hole…

For days, all he could do was dig in the dirt, and look for any treasures…

He'd also hadn't found a single treasure, and… it appeared his treasure finding abilities weren't working…

Duncan had to comfort Wormy over this small lapse in his confidence, and the only remaining people in the surface happened to be the dead bodies that Phoenix slaughtered in the last battle…

"Hmmm… well… ladies first Mona…" Duncan let Mona go first, and Wormy walked next to her with a smile on his face…

"You make me feel happy today… Mona…" Wormy smiled at Mona and she hit him on the head and turned to Phoenix…

"Phoenix… you look really bright today…" She smiled at Phoenix and Wormy pushed Phoenix as they began squabbling as they headed towards the Garvin encampment…

They took roughly one hour to arrive, and his summons joked around like they always did…

It seemed like these five were turning into a family, and Alberta and Bernie had already begun training to be merchants in their spare time… While they were in the hole, Duncan taught them how to barter for better deals… Phoenix had learned how to begin forming his essence core, and Mona spotted one hobgoblin dragging a carcass in the distance…

"Master… I think… that's really a garvin ice hobgoblin!" She pat him on the back causing Duncan to immediately to squint and doubt what she said…

"No way… we've been looking for one forever…" He didn't believe it, and Mona grabbed his hand…

"Master… look… Wormy is going to go kill him…" Mona pointed and Duncan still squinted unsure of if she had better vision than he himself had… From a mile away, she spotted a hobgoblin walking in the ocean, and the arrow above his head spun around his body as his body began to glow…

[Ding! Host has acquired 15 / 15 strands of the Garvin Ice Hobgoblin bloodline, and would you like to use your remaining catalyst to create a mutated Hobgoblin?]

"I obviously want to system…."

[Ding! Host has begun his transformation into a Garvin Ice Hobgoblin… and hosts power level should rise from 18,000 - > 23,000…]

[Transformation 10% complete… 20% complete… 50%.... 100%!]

[Congratulations… Host has transformed into a Garvin Ice Hobgoblin, and new power level has stopped at 24,500…]

"Wow… I feel so different…" Duncan's body seemed more human, and he wasn't too far from a dwarf in stature and shape…

However, he could only imagine how worried Enna was as she waited at the sect, and… indeed… she lost track of time as she conscripted new recruits for her experiments…

Duncan would soon find out she'd taken up a nickname, and many rumors had spread about her amazing alchemic accomplishments which drove the recruits to enter into the sect…

Those were actually all lies she concocted to get new recruits that she could lock in the sect, but Duncan made it into the Garvin Encampment as Wormy transformed into a hobgoblin after devouring some flesh…
