Chapter 25 : Talked Idly (1)
As soon as Chen Shu said this, Ye Sui fell unconscious. He lifted Ye Sui across the floor and carefully put her head on his shoulder and then went out immediately.
As soon as they got out of the building, the peaceful and mellow night wind blew over. It was already autumn, and winter was gradually drawing near. The temperature had begun to drop now.
Chen Shu’s coat was draped over Ye Sui’s shoulder, and he was wearing a thin white shirt only. He put Ye Sui in the back of the car, and sat in the driver’s seat.
Chen Shu started the car while dialing his phone. The line soon connected, and the recipient directly called Chen Shu’s name, which sounded familiar to Chen Shu.
“My wife is allergic to mangoes and is now unconscious. You get ready right away. I’ll be in the hospital in five minutes.”
Chen Shu had called his private doctor. After he hung up his phone, Chen Shu stepped on the accelerator without hesitation and increased his speed.
The car raced all the way but stayed very stead-fast. From time to time, Chen Shu would look back to Ye Sui in the back seat.
Chen Shu had communicated with the hospital in advance, considering Ye Sui’s identity. As soon as he arrived at the hospital, he took Ye Sui into a private passage to ensure that she would not be photographed by the paparazzi.
Fortunately, Ye Sui came to the hospital in time. She only needed to stay here for a few days after consuming the dextrose.
Ye Sui was lying on a hospital bed. When the intravenous** drip started to flow in, her breathing smoothened and slowly returned to normal. Her eyes were closed and she was quietly asleep. This was the first time Meng Han saw Chen Shu being lost like this, but he had heard that he and his wife did not even have an ordinary relationship. At most, they acted as strangers whenever they met each other.
It seemed that the situation was a bit different right now.
Meng Han walked beside Chen Shu and hit him with his arm. “Hey, what is the situation between you and your wife? What did you say before?”

Before Meng Han could continue his questioning, Chen Shu changed the subject again. “Ye Sui is alone in the ward. I’m going back.”
With that, Chen Shu didn’t wait for Meng Han to answer and increased his pace right away, walking back to the ward. Meng Han discovered that he had been misled, but he said nothing.
When Ye Sui opened her eyes, it was already the morning of the next day. The sun was shining bright through the window, and tiny dust was floating in the air. Ye Sui blocked the sun with her hand, and something fell on her face.
Ye Sui discovered that she had an intravenous line on her hand, and her nose smelled of disinfectant. She realized that she was at the hospital.
Ye Sui thought about what happened the previous night. She had fainted after eating mango because of her allergy. She was not clear about what happened afterward.
There was no one in the ward. On one side of the sofa was a coat, which Ye Sui remembered was Chen Shu’s as he had worn it yesterday. She also remembered Chen Shu’s words before she fell into a coma. Perhaps it was because Chen Shu was beside her that she had passed out without any harm.
As soon as Ye Sui sat up on the bed, the door of the ward was pushed open. It was Chen Shu who came in. Chen Shu held a vacuum flask in his hand and placed it in front of Ye Sui. “It was sent over from home.”
Master Chen knew about Ye Sui’s admission to the hospital. He specifically ordered his stepmother to prepare a light dish for Ye Sui. She drank the porridge while looking at Chen Shu sitting on the sofa.
“Thank you for last night.”
Chen Shu looked up at Ye Sui, his dark eyes staring at her. He didn’t talk for a while, making Ye Sui feel guilty and thinking that she had done something terrible to Chen Shu.
When Ye Sui almost took the initiative to admit that she was frightened of him, Chen Shu faintly opened his mouth.
“The box of mangoes at home was thrown away.”
It was a pity that she loved mangoes most at first, but she could let go of what she loved because she transmigrated over the original owner’s body.
