Chapter 59: You Passed! (2)

“People say that this place is haunted, and they can’t live here any longer. I have achieved my goal, scaring everyone away. But why hasn’t he left yet?”

Ning Ling looked at Xi Zhao coldly. “Since he doesn’t love me, why is he putting up this affectionate show?”

Ning Ling stopped talking at this point. Ye Sui knew that she was waiting for Xi Zhao’s explanation. In the quiet atmosphere, Xi Zhao felt guilty.

“In the past five years, I have never stopped thinking of you.”

Ning Ling laughed grimly

Xi Zhao: “I blame myself for our daughter’s death. Only by burying myself in work can I forget this matter for the time being. And I didn’t expect to hear of your death when I came back that day. “

“At that moment, I blamed myself; it was my negligence again that led to your departure. I became engrossed in writing and using movies to calm myself.”

Xi Zhao looked at the air beside Ye Sui and smiled.

“Even though no one plays the piano, and the manuscript is destroyed occasionally, causing others to be afraid of this house, I don’t want to move out. Because I expect you to be right next to me, but I can’t see you, so I can’t prove it.”

Ning Ling remained silent and did not speak. However, the black color on her face became lighter.

Xi Zhao: “I’m going to shoot your biography. You are so outstanding. I will record your life and let everyone know how amazing my wife is.

“I’ve been writing this script for the past five years.” Xi Zhao asked Ye Sui to pass the script to Ning Ling.

Ning Ling turned over the script, and then her hand trembled slightly. She always knew Xi Zhao was writing something, but she never cared to see what he was writing. After all, in her mind, because of him, what she once loved the most became what she hated the most.

Now, he was telling her that the script was written for her?

Xi Zhao could not see Ning Ling, so he continued to speak softly to the air.

“I originally thought that when I finished filming this movie, I would end my life, and then our family could really be reunited.”

No one knew that this biography was the last creation of this talented director. When the movie released, news of Xi Zhao’s death would also spread.

He wanted to use such a direct way to atone for his wife.

After Xi Zhao finished speaking, the air fell into silence.

Ye Sui thought in silence: others said that after his wife’s death, Director Xi’s personality became more paranoid and aloof, not liking to meet outsiders and even continued to live in the haunted house.

He hadn’t produced a work in the last five years, just locking himself in the house.

Rumors were swirling outside, but Xi Zhao did not care at all about these remarks. He just wanted to finish the movie attentively, and then accompany his dead wife.

Ye Sui sighed. Because of a misunderstanding, one of them lived painfully while the other died and became a specter.

Yet, neither of them was free.

When Ning Ling understood Xi Zhao’s feelings, she burst into tears. “Why didn’t you tell me earlier?”

Had they cleared it earlier, the misunderstanding between them would not be so deep, nor would they miss each other the whole life.

Ye Sui noticed Ning Ling’s dark expression melting away to show her true face, the same as when she was starring in a movie with a bright and shining look.

It seemed that her problem was finally resolved.

Xi Zhao asked with a cautious tone, “Can you forgive me?”

Ye Sui looked back again at Ning Ling, who did not speak, just walking to the table. Ye Sui pointed to the desk and motioned everyone to look over there.

Xi Zhao felt relieved as his eyes fell there. Still, he did not dare to expect Ning Ling’s forgiveness. At this moment, he saw a pen floating up and hanging there.

Then, a piece of white paper was put on the table, spreading out with the tip of the pen facing down. The nib then slowly dropped and touched the paper.

The pen flicked across the paper, and a few words appeared on it.

“I have never blamed you.”
