Axel stood up and looked at the doctor, "Can I talk to you?"
When they were out of ears shot, "what the fuck happened to her? Why can't she remember anything."
"When she drowned it was for a long time and that could have been the cause of some brain damage. And this caused a memory loss. And if she wanted to forget something that might also be the cause of it."
"When will she gain her memory back?"
"I don't know, it all depends on her. I would try taking it slow with her. Try not to be upset with her, or do some things that might trigger her memory."
Axel raked his hand through his hair. He dismissed the doctor and took a second to gather himself.
He went back into the room, and he found Talia staring at him with wide eyes, she seemed unsure and nervous.
"Can I take a bath."
Axel looked at her, "Of course you can,"
After a couple of minutes some nurses came, and they helped her up. She wriggled her toes, and they balanced her out of bed. She slowly walked bit by bit, she giggled.
"The carpet is ticklish." she said sheepishly.
"Do you want me to change it? I can get you whichever one you like." Axel replied quickly.
"No its okay, I don't want a new one, I like this one the way it is."
When Talia was helped into the bath tub she sat there, looking at everything. It felt so surreal, she lay in the hot water. So her name was Talia? But why couldn't she remember anything? What had happened to her? She wondered.
"That guy Axel, is he my boyfriend?"
The nurses all looked at each other, but not one answered.
"Or is he my husband?"
Finally one of them spoke, "I think it is best if he answered that question for you himself."
Talia nodded, she sunk back. When she was wearing her pyjamas, she went to the living room which was so huge, there were all sorts of food laid out for her.
She saw Axel there, and next to him was a guy who was looking at her intensely, he had brown eyes but she looked away because she started to feel uncomfortable. When she was seated, her eyes wandered around.
"What would you like to eat?" Axel asked her nicely.
"All of it."
Axel smiled lightly, "Well you can dig in, with whatever you like.
Talia looked at the table and she wanted to get up and get the first dish.

He got up and he went to the chicken dish she wanted, he dished some for her and put it in front of her.
"Thank you." She smiled at him.
She saw Axel staring at her for so long. He must be something important to her,
"Are you my boyfriend or husband by any chance."
Axel looked unsure as how he should answer her question. "Yes, I am your husband." He finally answered.
After Talia was finally full, she felt drowsy. She turned to Axel, "I'm sleepy."
Axel nodded to the nurses to take her back to her room.
"I was wondering if you could take me back to my room?"
Axel nodded is shock, he got up and came to her. She held out her arms, he lowered down and put one behind his neck, and one on her back. He gently lifted her off the chair and he was carrying her bridal style.
She rested her head on his chest. Axel put her in bed and he pressed a soft kiss on her head.
