Zach was gone for two days, and Keira was worried as hell. She kept on calling her dad now and then to check if Zach's operation was going smoothly.

"Dear, stop worrying. Hasn't he told you that he would be unreachable sometimes? They are working undercover. It's risky for them to take personal phones on a mission like that. I haven't received any emergency signals yet. Plus, there are no irregular movements from the underworld too, so I'm sure Zach is fine…" said the Field Marshal from the other end of the line.

"Alright dad, kiss mom for me. I'll hang up now," said Keira before she pressed the end button on her phone.

She stood up from the sofa and out of her condo. She walked towards the adjacent unit and pressed the doorbell.

Lyra opened the door.

"No news from Big Bro yet?" asked Lyra as she let Keira in.

"Let's have dinner together. I'm almost done with cooking," added Lyra.

Keira sighed as she sat on a chair at the dining area, watching Lyra prepare and serve the food to the table. Since yesterday, Keira was coming to have her meals with Lyra.

"How are you and Torin doing?" asked Keira simply that made Lyra cough as she choked on her saliva.

"Are you alright?" asked Keira, but then her forehead creased, seeing the reddening of Lyra's face. Lyra was blushing. Keira suspiciously looked at her.

She could feel it with her gut, something was going on for Lyra to react like that with her simple question. Well, her question was in general, but it seemed she hit the spot.

"What is it, Lyra? Did something happen between you and Torin?" Keira directly asked. To her, Lyra's flushing face and bashful expression could only mean one thing!

Her hunch couldn't be wrong.

"Happen? Nothing. Uhm, what could have happened? Let's eat," Lyra, who forced a soft laugh, said. She was changing the topic.

That night, she faked fainting. After that kiss, she neither knew what to do nor how to face Torin. She kept her eyes shut till the moment when Torin carried her into her room.

She was extremely shocked and nervous at the same time with how fast everything happened.

She heard Torin sigh several times after that kiss, but no words were said.

The next morning, she had set her mind to talk with Torin about the kiss seriously, but Torin was already gone with Big Bro Zach when she woke up.

He didn't come back until now, so she and Torin hadn't talked about what happened between them yet.

She was absent-minded with these thoughts. She did not even notice that Keira was intently inspecting and analyzing her with her keen eyes.

"You know you can trust me, Big Sis. Don't worry; I root for you and Torin. I will help you guys with Zach," offered Keira with a smile and wink.

That moment, Lyra coughed hard as she choked on her food. She quickly drank some water.

"You know, you can trust me, Big Sis. Don't worry, I root for you and Torin. I will actually help you guys with Zach…" offered Keira with a smile and wink.

Lyra paused and stared at her for a minute before she finally spoke and told Keira everything.

"Once he's back, make sure you talk with him and clarify everything. Fainting like that on him is not good. You have to face him next time, especially when he told you that he likes you." Keira scolded Lyra like she was the elder sister.

"Of course I want to do that, but I'm shy," explained Lyra.

Then she creased her forehead and looked at Keira, "Wait… You do know I'm older than you, right?"

Keira laughed and said proudly, "Hmm, of course, Big Sis. But when it comes to relationship matters, I think I'm more experienced than you. Don't you see how I managed to make your Big Bro mine?"

Lyra's face crumpled, but she did not complain.

Keira gave her more advice as they continued eating.

"I still think this will somehow affect Torin and Big Bro's friendship." Lyra opened up her concern.

"Hmm, maybe, probably, well, that's why I'm here, no?! Don't worry I will help to keep the balance. I'll take care of Zach, but in return, I need you to teach me how to cook in your spare time. I don't need to learn a lot, for now, only Zach's favorite dishes will do..." murmured Keira with a grin.

Then the two chatted some more, as Keira told Lyra how she had been acting boldly, just to get Zach's attention.

"If you want to have something, there's always a way to everything. You have to be confident, grab every opportunity, and most importantly, take all the risks because, in the end, everything is worth that risk. Don't be the one who regrets not doing something because they were too afraid to take that step," said Keira with a wink.

"Yeah, you are right. I hate having regrets in my life too," noted Lyra.

The two afterward enjoyed the fruit salad desserts, prepared by Lyra, as they continued their chat on the balcony. Keira told Lyra about Thea and her plan to tell Zach about it as soon as he was back.

"Good communication is an important part of all relationships. It is an essential part of any healthy partnership. I've learned this from my parents. My mom said that all relationships have ups and downs. But a healthy communication can make it easier to deal with conflicts, and build a stronger bond," explained Keira after Lyra asked her why would she bother telling Zach the real story about Thea's actions from years ago.

"I don't want to keep any secrets from him. I don't want any misunderstandings in the end. I want to tell him everything and see his reaction with my own eyes," added Keira.

"I hope you won't hesitate to open up to me in the future like now should you encounter any problem, or you want someone to talk to, Keira. You are like my little sister. Let's treat each other like a family. And if you need help with that Thea, just tell me, and I can take care of that bugger," said Lyra

Keira laughed and answered, "Yes, I will, Big Sis. But don't worry. I can handle her myself. I don't even feel her bite."

Lyra laughed with approval because she could tell how strong Keira was. She admired Keira a lot for her strength. Keira and Zach were destined to be together. She was happy that her Big Bro Zach had a strong woman like Keira by his side.
