She reached for the main dish and put some on Jeru's plate as she said, "I'm not sure if you will like it but this dish is one of my favorites…" she said timidly.
Jeru was flustered but he could feel his heart flutter. He simply answered, "Oh, okay. Thank you." Thea said it was a creamy garlic chicken dish and he normally did not eat something creamy but to his surprise, the dish tasted really good and he ended up eating more rice with it.
Thea watched Jeru eat and she was glad to see that he seemed to enjoy it. She would not waste the good opportunity that had been given to her by God. The baby in her stomach was the greatest blessing despite everything that had happened in her life.
