The next morning, Keira was very excited so she instructed Jim and John to buy some presents for the two elders, including Zach's grandmother, who was accompanying her husband.

"Do you want me to take it off already?" Asked Xander, referring to her dextrose.

"No, it's actually okay. Just make sure my records are updated. I don't know why, but I feel like that Old Madam Hitler is somehow still watching me," Keira said with pouty lips.

She knew that Old Lady would not take everything easily so she wanted to make sure that she was not compromising Zach with her actions in any way. She could feel that Old Lady's last words after their last meeting were a real warning she should be cautious about.

Xander laughed and commented, "Isn't it still a bit off if you visit them? I'm sure Old Madam Hitler will make her assumptions if she finds out. She's my patient too, and I know that Old Lady, I'm actually impressed that you managed to counter her. I like Old Madam Liu, she is fierce and strong."

Keira said with still pouted lips, "What's off? He is my superior and we are in the same hospital. It will be more suspicious if I don't spare time to visit his grandfather knowing that he is here? Don't you think so? I'm your blood, after all, so you must like me more than her!"

Xander laughed as he watched Keira left with her sidekicks who had brought too many fruits and paper bags.

Then he called out for John who was the last to go out and said, "Come here, that basket is too heavy. Let's lighten it up."

Then, Xander got three apples and two oranges out of it.

"There you go… move now, or your Boss will kill you for being slow." Said Xander with a grin.

Keira was a total turn off for him because he preferred to be the one who did the chasing.

But he admired how brave and determined she was because not all women could pull it through like her, so he hoped everything would turn up well for his dear, playful cousin.

...

Keira exhaled loudly before she knocked and gently opened the door.

'This is it! I need to make a good impression.' She mused and cheered herself.

She did not believe the saying 'first impressions last' but for some reason, she was dying to give Zach's family the best impression on her that could last.

"Hello," she immediately greeted with her sweetest and warmest smile. She looked around subtly for Zach inside the room first, but it seemed he was not around.

Zach's grandmother smiled back at her, but her eyes were questioning about who she might be.

Keira walked towards her and extended her hand as she introduced herself, "Granny, I'm Keira Chan, I'm a trainee under General Lim. I heard that his grandfather is staying at the same hospital so I decided to pay a visit while I'm still here."

She then instructed J&J to put down her presents and leave.

"Oh child, why are there so many presents? You didn't have to bother. But how come, you are also a patient?" Zach's grandmother asked looking at her dextrose.

Keira smiled and said, "It's nothing big, Granny… I just have severe pains but I'll be checked out soon. I may visit every now and then while I'm here if you don't mind. How is Grandpa?"

Grandma Terri looked at Keira closely. Just staring into the lady's eyes she could feel that she was a nice and true person.

Zach's grandmother held her hands and guided her to sit beside her.

Then she looked straight at Keira and smiled.

"He's fine now and just resting. Thank you for visiting, at least, I have someone to talk to. Zach is out for a while and will be back soon. By the way, are you Zach's girlfriend?" Asked the old lady directly that made Keira blush hard.

She felt the gentle tap of Zach's grandmother on her shoulder, as she laughed and said, "Child, look at you so lovely with those burning cheeks. I guess you are really his girlfriend. That brat will need a scolding for not introducing you properly to us! Such a lovely lady…"

Keira couldn't stop her reddening because of the continuous praises of Zach's grandmother.

"Grandma, I'm not his girlfriend yet," she timidly murmured.

She felt so happy and at the same time, she was comfortable with the kindness Zach's grandmother was showing her.

She saw the old lady crease her forehead and said, "Not yet? How come my grandson is so slow!"

Keira laughed at her words because she was obviously teasing her.

"Ohh, I looked the same when I was at your age. I also had that lovely and beautiful smile like yours," Zach's grandmother said boastfully as she stared at Keira's beautiful face adoringly.

"By the way, you can call me Grandma Terri and that's your Grandpa Shen." Added Zach's grandmother.

"Oh, you are here! How come you're not chaining down someone like her, Grandson? Are you a real Lim? How come you are so slow compared to your grandpa!" Burst out Zach's grandmother whose eyes were directed at the door.

Keira's mouth twitched, as she turned her head towards the door. She gave Zach an awkward smile as her eyes were conveying, "I really didn't say a thing..."
