In what seemed like a few minutes to the sleeping Julian he was woken up by the secretary for the second time in twelve hours. The plane arrived at YVR airport just five hours after he had fallen asleep. Without his beauty sleep, Julian looked slightly haggard. He dragged his body out of the warm covers and walked over to the bathroom. Taking off his clothes he stared at his body in the mirror. 'Overall I'm still too skinny,' thought Julian. He had some definition, but it was too hard for a fourteen-year-old to gain muscle mass like an adult.

Before climbing into the shower, Julian pulled out his phone from his pants on the floor and added a note to the schedule that the secretary had sent to his him. 'Add an intensive physical workout to my daily routine, make sure that it includes martial arts classes. Preferably make it early in the morning and later at night and only change it if there is something important that my mom has planned.'

Sending the schedule back to the secretary with no other alterations except cooking and art classes on Sundays he got into the shower. Letting the hot water run down his body, Julian thought about the last day and a half. 'I'm not sure if what just happened was good or bad,' thought Julian. 'I got to meet a woman that I truly love, but to make sure no one can separate us I have to become one of the people that I hate.'

Closing his gloomy eyes that had lost all of the spark and joy that they had earlier when he was with Zhi Rou, he squeezed them tightly shut so that no light could slip past. Once he opened them again the gloom that had previously existed receded deeply into the depths of his pupils, replacing it was cold indifference.

When he finished in the shower he came out and dried his hair, put on the suit, watch, shoes, socks and under garments that where sent to him, and walked out the hallway. Checking his newly acquired watch he saw that it was just past eleven thirty at night, Vancouver time, according to the time of the meeting he would have about an hour to get really for his meeting before once again going to bed to get some proper sleep.

Accompanied by the secretary and his bodyguards, Julian walked out down the steps of the plane and was about to get into the armored car that was waiting for them. Seeing the large number of bodyguards that were waiting for him Julian stopped and smiled coldly. "It seems that things have heated up after I left?" he asked while raising an eyebrow.

"*Cough * Yes sir," said the bodyguard standing next to the car. Looking nervous, he opened the door for Julian as sweat trickled down his back. Snorting, Julian ignored him and sat inside. Taking the laptop from the secretary that followed him into the car, he quickly opened it up and read the briefing for the meeting. After reading a few questions his eyes slightly widened.

The first part of the meeting was speaking with the company that he selected a few hours ago as the best choice for outsourcing their production of clothes. He had to bargain with them over costs and go over some formalities. That wasn't surprising, when he saw the documents he thought he would probably have to do something like this. What was really surprising was that his mom had ordered him to take care of the company that had tried to scam them.

If this was a normal company that would be fine, but from the casual way that they tried to trick one of his mothers' clothing lines into losing money they must be confident in their backing or be incredibly incompetent. Judging from the fact that they have factories that can produce clothes that are world class and are being used by several famous designers they can't be incompetent. That could only mean that they had a backing similar to Julian's mother.

Realizing that whoever was playing behind the scenes was probably testing his mother, Julian knew that he had just become a pawn in a larger game. 'Whoever was backing that company obviously did not want to act themselves', thought Julian. 'Until my mother is certain I doubt that she is going to do anything herself. I guess I came at an opportune time for her.'
