Although he was pretending to be fine, Julian was actually still feeling nauseous and his sight was still blurry. While the elevator was going down he slightly wobbled side to side. Just as he was about to grab the rail for support, he felt someone subtly grabbing his arm straightening him. Surprised he looked to the side and saw the young woman staring at him with her big blue eyes while smiling. Looking at her questioningly she just slightly shook her head and mouthed 'tomorrow.'

By the time they reached the lobby his nausea had faded and he could see properly. Silently thanking the woman for helping him, he walked towards his car and got in. Smoothly pulling away, the car started to drive towards the hotel where he would be staying for his brief stay here in Vancouver. It was only an eight-minute drive but by the time they arrived, Julian was having trouble keeping his eyes open.

Pinching himself, Julian went straight up to the elevator and waited for the doors to open. One of his bodyguards had already gone ahead and gotten the room key so he just had to go up the elevator, walk into his room, and collapse on the bed. Brushing his teeth would have been ideal but he was too tired, also he brushed them five hours ago so it didn't really matter and all he had drunken was some tea.

As he was falling asleep he remembered Zhi Rou, 'If I go ahead with the plan tomorrow things could get really dangerous' though Julian, even though his mind was muddled from the sleep deprivation he still worried over her. 'I should be fine, I have security following me everywhere I go and the opponent probably wouldn't hit the heir of the Reeves family. Zhi Rou was different though, he wouldn't have any troubles hurting her as my mother would bother taking care of someone just because I fall in love.' Rolling over Julian scoffed, he seriously doubted that she could understand what that word meant.

'If I had told her earlier this would probably have been easier,' getting angry at his own idiocy Julian scrunched up his brow. 'It is probably too late to inform her now, from the time that I came back to Canada my phone was probably hacked. Any calls that I make will be monitored and my mother hasn't sent a secure phone yet. Of course, if I don't have a proper excuse she will not give me one.'

The more he thought about the situation the more he found that it would be foolish to get in touch with Zhi Rou. If she got hurt because he missed her wouldn't he regret it for his whole life? 'Besides' he thought. 'She is going to go to an art school around Paris in three years, I should be able to see her then as I'll have finished with this problem by then.'

His eyes gleamed under the blanket as he muttered, "how dare someone stop me from seeing my lovely wife!" By the time that he got to sleep his mind was filled with vengeful thoughts and plans to make the person who challenged his mother pay. Unfortunately deep down he knew that all of that anger was just something to cover the anguish that he felt from not being with Zhi Rou. As his breath softly evened out, a small glistening tear rolled out from his eyelashes. It trickled down his cheek before being soaked up by the pillow.

Sleeping gently on in the bed, Julian no longer had the demeanor of an emperor commanding his army, or a little devil thinking up ways to cause harm. Instead, he looked like a quiet and lonely little boy with a broken heart. His strong facade that he had put on during the day cracked and broke, leaving behind a fragile interior that looked like it would be blown away in the wind.
