May was startled when she heard she was to be infused with the blue phoenix's blood. She looked over to see a smiling Taf that seemed joyful at the outcome. Just a few months ago they were discussing how they would go about finding a suitable beast whose blood May could be infused.

" Hey, You deserve this. Why are you so surprised? Remember your growth in strength is mine as well. We are a team so we mutually benefit from the other's accomplishment. Imagine how awesome it would be, you becoming stronger and us both fighting at full strength. Isn't this what you have always wanted huh?"

Seeing her startled expression Taf knew he had to provide that additional nudge needed within the situation. Seemingly his words had its desired effect as she became more open to the idea of being infused with the blood.

" Seeing that we are all apparently in agreement with my decision, How about we begin?"

The Draconian interjected after the two had both mutual decided on the infusion...

"Now this process though not too complicated will take at least a month for the blood to be fully infused within your body. I should warn you, however, May that this infusion process is one that at times will be extremely painful. Your body will be reforged into one in which the phoenix blood deems acceptable, thus the excruciating pain felt.

"Do you think you will be able to handle it...?"

The question was then posed to May and from the words spoken by the draconian, it could be imagined how much pain she had to endure. To her side, Taf would be lying to himself if he were to say he was not a bit worried for her.

"This will be the most pain that she ever had to endure, though he had faith in her abilities she has only truly had to push herself for this year. Was she really tempered enough to go through this experience?"

The thoughts plagued his mind but soon his hand felt within it grasp another.

" Don't tell me you think this lady is scared of a little pain."

A smiling May reassuringly spoke as she saw the worry displayed on Taf's face. Seeing how assured she was that there would be nothing but triumph through this, Taf could only put all his worries to the side. He then watched as she walked towards the center of the room where the vile hovered in the air. As she neared a chill ran through her skin.

" Due to the excruciating pain that will be felt I will put you in state of sleep. You will, however, drift in and out of this state of sleep when the pain is at its most severe. This is the time when your character will be put to the test, persevere and do your utmost to pull through."

While Alestar spoke a glow engulfed Both May and the vile filled with blue blood. Soon a tired May fell unconscious on a cloud-like red puffy material that nestled her perfectly. A small thin but seemingly sturdy needle then protruded from the vile filled with blue blood. It then made its way towards her arm before injected itself with her vein.

She winced a bit when her skin was pierced by the needle. When this occurred her veins became ever more visible through her skins as a blue glowing substance could be seen moving within. Slight groaning sounds continuously escaped from her lips as the process continued...

" There is not much we can do at this point, as all will be left in her hands..."

A month had now passed in which May's screams of pain could be heard constantly. As the days went by, however, the screams subsided and she became calmer. Slight evidence of the phoenix blood might could be seen as she had now increased in cultivation from the 7th qi condensation to now the 8th and continuously rising.

Within the hall, Taf sat waiting for her to pull through the infusion process. He observed the noticeable external changes that were evident on her body. Her hair was no longer dark brown but pure silver cascading down her shoulders. Seeing the changes he became a bit worried that her personality might also have some alterations.

" There is no need to be worried. I wouldn't have gifted her the blood if her personality would be influenced. She will be the same girl that you knew before.."

Alestar voice was then heard as he too observed the process that was approaching its end. As they spoke the person in question May eyes slowly opened.

She slowly arose while her eyes once again tried to acclimatize itself towards the surroundings. Observing her body she nearly screamed in freight seeing silver hair through her peripheral vision.

"How will I explain this to mom?" She exclaimed as the first words to come to her mind was uttered. Her words seemingly bemused the two who had been watching.

' Hehe, tell her the brown hair was no longer to your fancy so you decided to switch there and then"

Taf teased as May deeper examined her hair before staring him down which only caused him to laugh even more.

" I kid, How are you feeling? Is there any other alarming changes that you have noticed?"

He then went on asking the questions that seemingly had plagued his mind this whole time the process was underway.

" Actually I can't explain it but my body feels so foreign..guess it will take some time for me to get accustomed to it " May stated as she continuously observed her body.

" That is indeed the case. Hmm, I look forward to seeing how this blood will impact your progress on the road of cultivation. At the very least this fellow progress might not seem as excessive compared to yours."

Alestar interjected as once more a glass filled with liquor was seen in his hand. Apparently, the two went together as one would not be seen without the other.

As the taste once more grace his lips he then proceeded to twirl the glass similar to a connoisseur of vintage wine.

" For now my influence might only be detrimental to your well being. It is time for you both to venture out into this world for the time being.

A cage lion may, in fact, share the appearance of one, they might eat like a lion and sounds like one. However, faced with on untamed beast of its own lineage it would only be an overgrown mouse with a mane"

Alestar addressed the pair as he continuously enjoy the contents within his glass. Hearing his words Taf with all honesty was not too surprised. The first trial had ended so journey outside was the next road of the journey by logic.

" What about the next trial? When will that be?"

Initially, the Draconian had spoken of a series of trials to be undertaken within Braveman's Graveyard being the first.

" The next trial you will be informed of when the time is right. For now, let your mind be at ease."

In his mind, however, he knew what was to come might be darker times for the two.
