Youn.. young master this is but a small matter.., first let me introduce our small group. I Am Renford and we are members of the Willows village. A small village close to the mountains of Crow Sect. "

The strongest of the group stuttered at first before getting a grip of his composure. Who knew how fortuitous this meeting might be for the village or what deluge they might unleash if his answer was not to their liking.

Though in the back of his mind he wondered where these individuals were from. From their attire, they did not have the Pins or crests of any of the prominent families and sects that are known by him within the Fu province.

The Dark Abylis Sect members are known to garb themselves in purple and black clothing, attached with a pitch black circular pin.

Wouldn't it be quite odd for their members needing a guide towards their own sect? Even if they were new recruits, it is the widely known norm for recruits to be escorted by someone from the sect.

The other well-known Sects also had attires that showed their identities. Yellow signified the Crow Mountain sect with their pins being that of a crow, While the Blue Mountain Sect wore blue with what appears to be a hill or mountain formation as a pin.

" With regards to the location of the Dark Abylis Sect, On our journey to the Crow mountain, we will travel in close proximity to your destination.

Since it is on our journey we are more than willing to assist you in this regard by taking on the role of your guides.

Therefore, a map is not necessary but one can also be provided. "

Renford then motioned with his hand to one of his companions. Answering his call was a slightly chubby lady of somewhat short stature.

she promptly took out what appeared to be a slender looking piece of parchment with a variety of land formation outlines from a case tied down on the horn-bill's back.

The parchment was then taken from the ladies grasp, wrapped with qi, before it was guided into Taf's hands by the 6th stage Renford.

During this time he continuously assessed the two who sat on the red feathered eagle. Intentionally It omitted its qi that was becoming slightly oppressive to the group on the horn-bill's back. With quick movements, they sought refuge closer to their leader Renford.

Quickly realizing what was taking place, Taf eventually put a stop to this with a mental command within Hammerhead's mind.

This caused curiosity in Renford's bones as to what cultivation both might have been from their qi but for some strange reason, there was none whatsoever being emitted from the pair.

Wasn't it quite strange? It definitely was not possible that an 8th stage demon beast would allow mortals to mount its back and by the calmness they both exuded, they were definitely cultivators.

Unbeknownst to him this was of course due to the space stones that both Taf and May wore which had this ability to conceal their cultivation. This was activated as a means of not drawing unnecessary attention to themselves from the get-go.

He would probably fall off the Horn-bill's back in fright if the truth was disclosed. Even in his wildest dreams, he would never have dreamed these two would be at the 8th qi condensation. At most he thought they were at the 6th stage of qi condensation similar to himself.

Hearing Renford's words Taf looked to his side for a second and whispered a few words...

"I guess having some guides would not be such a bad thing and this group with all honesty is no threat at all. Nevertheless, though this might be the case, we will still be on the alert for anything going awry."

May seemingly paused for a moment before nodding her head in agreement with Taf's words. It was apparent there was not much harm joining this small group.

" Ah Renford I guess we have to burden you with showing us the way. I am Taf and to my side sits May. It's indeed a pleasure to meet you."

He then with a slight smile on his face greeted the group of cultivators who still had the look of curiosity placed on their faces.

May did the same and caught a few odd stares from the teens aboard the horn-bill's back. Her silver hair was not the norm and to complement it, even more, she had a beautiful face to match. This understandably drew the envy of some of the girls and the prying eyes of the boys.

" Well I see this will be an annoyance in the future won't it, sigh"

She inwardly thought as the gazes were quite apparent. The behavior of the teens within his group was quickly noticed by Renford who was speedy enough to berate them for their actions with a stern look on his face. His status within the group seemingly had tremendous clout as with but a mere glance he dissuaded their conduct.

" These damn kids are trying to get us all killed."

He nervously thought but thankfully as he gazed at Taf there was not much change in his expression.

" When the journey is complete it seems I need to educate these lot on what proper etiquette is..."

As he thought on their behavior he firmly grasped on a brass cane beside him. This drew nervous gazes from the teens that were aware of the others thought. Hopefully, the seats within the village were somehow newly padded as their burning bums would only be more tortured when sitting without.

?????????

Soon both groups on their respective demon beast had started the journey towards the Dark Abylis Sect.

" See Taf I told you there were indeed rivers that ran as far as the eyes could see. Guess you are truly a monkey's uncle"

May stated as she poked out her tongue to Taf by her side in victory...

" Please don't misquote me, miss, I said no such thing. Actually, I think it was you who uttered such a statement. Alas, we were mere kids back then so I will dissuade myself from doing such a thing as taunting." Taf replied while May continued to poke her tongue out.

" Young master Taf on our way we will fly over many villages and towns. I have realized that you both seem curious as you gaze below. Might I suggest we stop now and then, this is of course if you are not in a rush?"

It wasn't too much of a surprise these words by Renford when gazing on the two. Whenever one of the two saw something they would tug the other showing them.

He couldn't quite put his finger on it but he somewhat suspected it was the first time these two had journeyed out on their own.

No matter where these young masters were from they surely would have seen similar sites with the region.

" I think we would quite enjoy that Renford. Tell me something, where would you suggest we stop first on this journey?"

Taf curiously inquired, after all, he was more than willing to mingle and see all aspects that this world had to provide. He knew this was also the case for May who particular had some curiosity in the social practices of her fellow cultivators.

" Well, there are many places within the surrounding regions that would draw the attention of all. For instance, the banks of the Black River within your view is home to many small villages that are descendants of the once great Nakushi Water Tribe."

As Renford spoke he awaited with expectancy for the two teens eyes to open up will bewilderment at the mere mention of such a tribe.

Within his group some members especially those of the younger generation had looks of fascination.

However, his expectations were not met as neither of them even flinched in this regard.

" Surely they must know of this tribe that once even caused the Dark Abylis Sect of old to have a cautious eye on its dealing.

No.., maybe I am just being shortsighted and in their eyes, those tales of old are just that, Tales or stories."

Renford thought to himself as an even greater fog appeared over the two within his eyes. However, imagine his reaction if he knew that initially thought had been the most accurate.

" Interesting there were no records of such a tribe within the journals and books with Marvel city. Also even though Draconian Alestar had provided small reading materials. Those mostly contained information on demon beasts and their habits. This feeling of not being informed of the most basic of information is quite uncomfortable.

This will not do. How can one such as myself who prides himself in being a knowledgeable youth stand for this? This is indeed not a good look."

Taf berated himself as too did May. She remembered their time back in Marvel city. They were scholars in some regards. They desired for knowledge, Maybe it was the drive to outdo the other but they were well versed in most things within the city.

Now they were at the mere bottom of the barrel when it came to knowledge. In hindsight, however, it was not their fault as not much could have been done.

" Well, it appears that this thirst needs to be quenched when the time is right."

He had no intention of allowing Renford and his group in becoming any wiser, nevertheless. Maybe they have been slightly naive or wide-eyed in their behavior somewhat. Inadvertently giving away prime information with their body language.

" Old Man Ming would surely berate me none stop, I have become sloppy. He always stated 'Learn all that there is to be known from your enemies but give nothing away of yourself'...

Though this might not be detrimental while traveling with this group, one still needs to make the proper adjustment when becoming aware of the flaw."

There was a small twinkle in Taf's eyes as he made a slight resolution.

" I..I.., The Nakushi Water Tribe huh. Their tales are indeed far-reaching. However, just like the sands in the hourglass all is destined to fall...

There are many aspects of this once great tribe that I would love to pry within and being the knowledgeable man you are, you surely haven't disappointed Renford.

Alas, lead the way so I might see what these descendant have made of this once pristine named tribe."
