" Before journeying to your sect i was given a message by this person you identify as the mask being. Hopefully, this will ease your concerns somewhat.

He stated: Though you have turned to dust, still have we this brotherly bond that transcends time and space. Like you did a thousand years ago with me, I give your sect the chance to rise and seek the heavens."

As Taf spoke his last words there was a momentary silence in the room...

Within a room seemingly decorated for a young child, shown by the littering of stuff toys on the ground. There sat a man on a rocking chair, beside him was a bed where a girl who could be no more than 11 laid.

He was apparently middle-aged with tricklings of grey hairs throughout his head. There he sat in silence watching her.

His eyes became watery the more he saw the state in which she was in. Her skin was significantly pale with blue veins all over the face and her body quite feeble from all appearance.

As he observed footsteps were heard behind his chair. An old wrinkled hand held on to his shoulder.

" Be strong.., thats all you can do now."

The owner of the hand an old woman who seemed near to her life's end uttered.

" How long...?"

He asked in a dejected manner as his eyes were fixed on the feeble being before him.

" At this point, I can't say..."

After a moment of silence, a reply was heard.

" It has puzzled me for some months now that she hasn't recovered as expected. All the herbs and medicines given within the timeframe should have helped, at least somewhat.

However here we are six months later and her condition has deteriorated to this extent.

You and I both are aware of the words that will proceed, so let me not say them. Just cherish the time you have with her.."

Silence covered the room as the two observed the innocent figure on the bed.

" Those words uttered by that child, what say you..?"

The middle-aged man asked a question that seemingly had no relation to the previous conversation.

" This sect has been within the Fu province for thousands of years and has never lacked Sect leaders. Who is to tell which ancestor this being is referring to?

Just like you, I have no clue if these words are true or if we are indeed being played by a child. This is a choice that must be made by you. My time has come and gone."

As the old lady spoke she rubbed an oily substance over the body of the ailing girl.

" I have made my decision then..."

The middle aged man stated before he once again focused his attention to the girl.

Within the room silence pervailed for abit. They were all curious as to what these words spoken by Taf actually meant.

" Being a member of our sect means to adhere to our rules. No matter how gifted you are, no exception will be made in this regard. Do we have an understanding?"

The silence was then broken once more by the voice who previously led the proceedings.

" This was my intent all along senior. Please pardon the previous ruckus caused. It seems old habits die hard. You will see that I will be one of your most studious of members. May will definitely vouch for me in this regard.

This is of course with the exception that I am not provoked. Las, even I am no saint and retaliation is in my nature."

Taf smiled as he eyed the six seats at the extreme back of the room. Still, he saw no faces but he could guess the expression on their faces.

" This is acceptable, there is also the matter of your affinities. For now those aware of the matter are mostly within this room. With some exceptions, of course, one being the members of Team Malgrey.

It is agreed for the time being disclosing your identity would bring more harm than good. This is for both your and the sect's best interests. Is there anything you both will like to say..?"

The elder ended by saying giving Taf his chance to respond. Seeing it was his time Taf took a momentary pause.

" For now I am just happy to be accepted, senior. Call me shy but I generally don't like speaking in front of a crowd."

He had a few questions he would have liked to asked of this elder, however, how could he simply trust anyone from the get-go. Especially with the numbers within the room.

The information needed will have to be learned by himself and May during there time here.

" Very well, May Grace, you have already been accepted within the sect. Since that is all you both will be escorted to your quarters by a disciple awaiting your arrival outside. Dismissed..."

Hearing the elders words both made their way towards the door. This was pleasing in their eyes as all they truly wanted to hear was their acceptance. As the doors were closed the elder once again spoke.

" Initially this information was intended to be known by only a few. However, it seems age is just a number and there are those among you whose tongue moves faster than their brains."

As those words were spoken all eyes simultaneously focus on two individuals in the room.

They were elder Mu and Alders. Both dared not utter a word in defence of themselves. Knowing the temperament of the one speaking.

" How sad indeed that those within the qi condensation are better abreast of the situation than those of Lord Realm cultivators.

However, let that be the first and only time this occurs. Utter any information to outsiders about that child and be considered a traitor among your brothers and sisters. Bringing forth the true wrath of the sect.

Is this understood?"

There was a sudden chill within the room as the last words were uttered by the voice. It was the same as the one which engaged Taf and May previous, however, there was some killing intent within.

In unison, there was a reply...

" Yes, High Supreme."

Within the hall carved with the wings of a Baresath, stood a girl who from all appearance was 17-18 years of age.

" I wonder what was the cause of the bells ringing. How unlucky am I, why did I have to be the one summoned to show some new recruits around."

She looked aside in envy at those with freedom at the moment. How she wished she too could have seen what all the excitement was about.

" Guess it has all died down and it was only a minimal affair not warranting much attention.

It is odd, however, for Elder Mary to summon me solely for escorting just two individuals. I thought the recruiting process had ended for the year."

As she drifting within her thoughts a door had opened and there walking nonchalantly was a youth with dreads and a girl with silver hair tied by a bow.

She was caught off-guard by May's appearance.

" What exotic hair she has, why couldn't I have such hair. Sigh, another beauty within the sect. Guess little miss princess will have all within the palm of her hands."

A look of envy was displayed by the girl as saw the beauty with her cascading silver hair. As she assessed both qi level she was surprised to find they hadn't even reached qi condensation 1 as of yet.

" Guess princess is not all that blessed after all. Maybe your time won't be as delightful as I thought."

She grinned as they approached her within the centre of the hall.

" So you are the disciple they spoke of. How far away are our quarters?"

Taf stretched a bit as he asked the only question on his mind.

" Firstly, you should address me as a senior. Guessing you are from a mortal background not knowing the most basic of sect etiquette."

The disciple spoke with a bit of scorn as she guessed their backgrounds.

" Secondly only speak when spoken to. Child that mouth might be your undoing within the sect.

Know your place, if this was not one of my assigned duties I wouldn't have even given the both of you the privilege of my company.."

Hearing the way the disciple addressed him Taf nearly tripped himself over his own feet. He then looked at May and knowing her personality quickly put out his hands to stop her.

There was deathly calm on her face but he knew better than anyone what that meant.

From the qi emitted this disciple was merely at 5th stage of qi condensation. If May was to punch per in rage a coma would be but a blessing afterwards.

" Why did they have to make this idiot our escort."

He thought as he only could shake his head. The poor thing didn't know how close she came to having the infirmary as her permanent dwelling.
