Within the skies on the red feather eagle that moved without hast, sat May and Taf. Both had summoned the black space rings found within their pouches.

As their senses scoured its contents they were a bit surprised by what awaited Inside. Within they saw quite a few cultivation techniques, qi stones and the gold token previously mention.

If Alicia were to see such things it can be imagined her expression as this was way beyond the norm.

As Taf took his time observing each method the more he browsed the less intrigued he became.

" What did I really expect of them. If i were in their position I too would also do the same. Guess I haven't warranted their complete trust.

However, I did hope beyond hope that there would be elemental techniques beyond qi rank."

⭐Techniques also having a ranking. Their ranks are based on the level of strength needed, as well as the difficulty in learning.

For instance, Qi rank techniques are for those below the realm of lords. While lord ranks are for those exceeding that of the lord realm.

To put it into more context, it is usually suicidal for one within the qi condensation to try using such a technique. Their qi reserves would become immediately exhausted.

It is similar to one using their demon inherent art while being under the realm of lords.⭐

Taf could only sigh at his luck. Before journeying out they were given some news that was somewhat a dampener by the draconian.

In order to facilitate their growth on their own, until the completion of their next trial, they would be provided with no cultivation techniques or material.

Therefore, now they had to seek out techniques of their own. This was the reason for Taf's disappointment when he saw the techniques before.

They were all Qi Rank which at the moment he wasn't in need of as all his technique were either similar or of better quality.

" Guess I was truly a bit reliant on the draconian after all in this regard. So how do I go about getting the techniques I want?"

Taf thought as he assessed his options. May too found herself thinking something quite similar.

" Do you think perhaps the missions previously spoken about by Alicia might helpful to us in this regard?"

She then inquired of Taf who at that moment had been scratching his chin for answers.

" I guess in place there must be some form of reward system. Thankfully we are not in need at this moment. However, seeing as we both are on the verge of breakthroughs, we have to think about the future.

For now, what I think we should try to accomplish, is perfection in all of our techniques. At the moment I still feel as though both my darkness and fire techniques could be improved drastically.

I am expending far more qi than necessary by just activating these techniques. Thus when I attack i feel like it's at 50% of its potential strength."

Taf uttered as he thought of a means to correct this seeming flaw.

" Wish i could help you with a solution but I am also facing a problem. Due to the infusion process only taking place not too long ago, I feel as though I am not doing my body justice at the moment."

A sigh was heard from May as she observed her body.

" Hey, it will take time for you to adjust. Now, No one expects you to become some prodigy overnight. Tell you what, we will have a sparing section soon. That way we will work out all the kinks."

Some comforting words were heard from Taf which brought a smile to May's face.

" So Sir, it is still quite early in the day, do we stay at our quarters or look around a bit on our own.."

As May spoke ahead she saw thousand of buildings spanning miles in the distance on a mountain, each surpising seemed as though they were carved out of the mountain itself.

Some were significantly smaller than others. While there were those that were quite the opposite hovering above all.The smaller of the building were squished together and lacked any form of privacy.

There were those in such deplorable conditions that their roofs looked as though they could cave in at any given moment.

A contrast was seen as the building grew in sizes however. As one eyes wondered a notable change was the space each dwelling gained. There were even some houses with their own garden and recreational area.

" So guessing this is where we will call home for the time being. I'm thinking it would be fun looking around without the yapping of that pesky girl..."

Taf replied as Hammerhead descended in an open area outside of the living quarters. The two then made their way on foot, this was where they saw the true reflection of the sects population.

There were persons moving in and out in droves by the thousands. They would be chattering and all manner of socializing. There were still the odd curious gazes but this was mainly due to May's silver hair.

" Guess only a small population are actually aware of the cause of the ruckus. I got to say I was beginning to get quite annoyed by it all. All that over a little tussle, haven't they ever seen two men air out their differences through combat."

Taf uttered which only caused May to roll her eyes at him.

" You know very well what you were doing, stop playing the victim brute."

May responded but Taf acted as though he didn't hear a word she spoke. Looking around his surrounding.

At one area Taf noticed that there were some sparring sessions currently on the way. Within a large ring spanning 70 meters, there were two individuals currently fighting.

A young man and girl each at the 5th stage of qi condensation, with a mere glance he was aware of the victor...

" Well, isn't that fun..?"

He thought before once more looking away. As his eyes scanned the surrounding he saw a building that grabbed his attention.

Its sign read: lodging and Boarding

" I guess that's our next stop.."

As Taf spoke May too saw the building. They both then their way over, as they enter the building behind a desk they saw a girl who seemed in a similar age group to them both.

" Hi I'm Theresa, how may I be of assistance?"

She greeted in a polite manner that did contrast to their previous escort Alicia.

" Hi, Theresa we are new recruit to the sect. I am May and this is Taf. Currently, we are unaware of our dwelling place. We hope you can help us in this regard."

Seeing the warm greeting May responding in a manner of equal politeness.

" Yes I can assist you in this regards, fill out this parchment and you will be on your way.."

Theresa with a smile replied...

" I am sorry I forgot to ask if Phillip is around. We were told to hand him a token.."

May apologized somewhat forgetting she had something within her possession that could speed up the process.

" Oh a token, this isn't a problem, I'll call him out immediately.."

The girl took a pause before once more looking at the two.

"A token isn't given to any common disciple. These two must be highly regarded by an elder. "

This was what she assumed as she saw that these two were also her age. Soon they saw a man who seemed in his early 30s.

" Hi, I was told you had a token. .?"

The man named Phillip questioned as he eyed the two. They seemed quite young to have received such a thing.

Seeing that he appeared both Taf and May summoned the tokens within their hands.

" Interesting golden tokens, it seems the sect values you both a lot..., let me lead you to your dwellings."

He once more assessed the two, rarely has he seen a golden token. The most he has seen such token is when a disciple has broken through to the 9th stage.

" Seems I need to pay special attention to these two.."

He thought before leading the two out of the building, leaving behind the curious gaze of Theresa.

" Housing as you both surely have previously been made aware of, is based on certain criteria. The ones we are passing at the moment are at the lower end of the scale. These are individuals with lower cultivation and limited potential."

As Phillip spoke both May and Taf observed and notice that they were now walking through the area with the small building they notice while above on Hammerheads back. These were clustered with minimal or lack of privacy.

As Taf shifted his senses through each building Phillips words were no exaggeration as he could sense no qi over the 4th stage of qi condensation.

What both he and May noticed was these buildings were at the base of a huge mountain. As they progressed further similar to what they saw above the building began to space further apart.

While they were guided by Phillip the further they went the stronger the qi became. On some occasions, they would sense a qi level that was significantly lower than the rest.

This they assumed were those seen with potential within the sect. It was also the same as other gazed at them the further they went up.

Soon they came to a stop...

"Here is where you both will call home."

As they both assessed the two building that were quite a distances apart from each other.

" Guess this is the mansion I dreamed of while in Marvel City.."

Taf smiled while reminiscing with May who held his hand.

" Well with that dream accomplished that leaves room for more to take its place.."

She chuckled while giving him a slight pinch.
