After the mission briefing, the squad continued flying to western Starlight City. On the journey unlike when both Taf and May were heading towards the Dark Abylis Sect, there were constant streams of demon beasts that were mounted. Apparently, this was a route that was heavily trafficked.

Some groups were large consisting of 20 or more persons and some small with sometimes just one cultivator by his or her lonesome.

As the journey went on, slowly Taf and May became seemingly less than outsiders to the squad. Having personalities such as they did, there was an added spice that was missing from the squad, as there wasn't a dull moment.

Also, they knew how to seamlessly integrate into a group if it was there intention. Knowing they would have to work in combat with these individuals, they weren't opposed to showing this side.

Out of all the squad members, Lovren and Niesha were the two that seemingly gravitated to the two with apparent ease. Though this was the case, Lovren would never admit it.

Of course, Malgrey tried his best to keep himself scarce, making sure to avoid all conversations with Taf and May. As each time he did they would twist his words around in some form or the other.

He was thankful however that there was one person who always took the brunt of attention, lovren.

In a bid to be less than inferior to his new teammates he would constantly try to best Taf in a war of words. Taf apparently didn't mind as each time he would make Lovren think he had the upper hand before crushing his spirit.

Once in a while, even the carefree Luke would join in on the conversation with Lovren and Taf, while Cameron looked on. It was obvious he was the type to only really speak when asked something.

" May you don't know how good it feels to have another girl around, always felt that I was a part of a boys clubs with these four."

Niesha chuckled while watching Taf, Lovren, and Luke conversing as she cleaned the broad sword on her lap.

"I can only imagine, so you're excited about the mission I can tell..?"

May could only laugh in response as she thought what it would be like in Niesha shoes.

" Yes i am filled with excitement but also there is a bit of worry. Before our team has only had low-ranked missions, so the risk of losing anyone was basically nil.

Now that our rank has improved the odds have now jumped significantly. I can't imagine losing any one of the squad."

There was a bit of worry displayed on Niesha's face as she thought of a possible scenario. Seeing her changed expression, May could tell that she truly cared about her members.

" Haven't you wondered why myself, Luke and Lovren both carry our weapons outside of our pouches."

She asked while continuing to bring out the sheen on her broad sword. Her words did jolt back May's memory to a previous thought that crossed her mind when assessing the squad.

She remembered that apart from Cameron and Malgrey, the rest all had weapons on them at all times.

" The question did come to mind, why is that?"

May curiously inquired as the point was mentioned...

" Well, we are all from the same village that specializes in the ways of the sword and Saber. Each family in the village masters a different weapon.

The main part of our teaching states that we should treat our swords and sabers as an added limb. A limb can't be simply discarded or be stored, can it? Thus, at all time we are one with our weapon."

There May sat as she listened to Niesha's story. She was quite intrigued, obviously this was the first time she heard that there were villages that specialized in weapons such as the one Niesha is from.

"I've was always the more talented of the three and was given a special mission by my village elders to protect both Luke and Lovren so they can return. You see only a few of us that are recruited from the village end up returning."

Niesha sighed as she remembered the hopeful look on her village elders faces..

" So that's an added motivation to protect them I see."

May interjected after seemingly gaining a slight perspective into Niesha thinking...

" Yes, it is.."

Niesha smiled as she really liked how easy it seemed to talk to May. That was, of course, when she got her alone without Taf. Together labeling them a handful would be a great underestimation. Malgrey's avoidance of the two spoke volumes.

The journey continued and soon nightfall came. Malgrey sighed as he knew his time had come to do as promised. Soon he found a location he thought fitting to spend the night. As they descended they were greeted by the maître d.

Before Malgrey could speak to the maître d there was Taf with his arm around his shoulders...

" Isn't this fancy, Hmmm, my friend maître d, we are here celebrating a momentous occasion. What do you have to cater to our needs..?"

As Taf spoke the maître d's eyes showed some glimmer. Soon he took out a brochure with gold embroidery. Taf sieved quickly through before passing it to May who did the same...

There watching was Malgrey as a big vein began to protrude on his forehead as the two wore frowning looks. Niesha could not help but chuckle a bit as she saw the two operate.

" Sir, he said momentous meaning of great significance, what you have shown us simply does not qualify as such. Can you imagine the disappointment on our squad leaders face if he saw such unsatisfactory accommodations?

Do you know how long he has been planning for this? On the flight over this has been all he has spoken of. Now wow us..."

Hearing May's words Malgrey cursed incessantly in his mind as he looked to Niesha for help but she quickly made sure to avoid his pleading gaze...

" Well, what I showed you was the gold package that are quite popular. however, now I see that I am dealing persons who are more accustomed to the finer things in life. Please excuse me while I quickly bring something more suited to your needs, the deluxe package."

The maître d hurried off as his face glowed with excitement, he knew tonight would be a good one. How he thanked heaven's one of his workers was sick so he had to be in on his day off.

Hearing the maître d's words Malgrey nearly coughed up blood. Deluxe package, Now he knew he was truly going to be screwed.

" Deluxe package huh, I like the sound of that. What say you squadmates, wouldn't you want something grand hmmm? How many times will you get to celebrate a promotion? "

Taf asked as he put his arm around both Lovren and Luke shoulders shaking them a bit.

" I.., I think something fancy would be nice."

Lovren then stuttered at first while ensuring not to look at Malgrey...

" So Lovren has joined the party, finally you say something of worth."

Hearing Taf's words Lovren looked hatefully at him as he grinned...

" How about you Luke, You're so famished even your hair has turned green..."

Taf messed up luke's hair as he spoke...

" Well guess you do have a point, this is a grand occasion."

The ever chill Luke too agreed. One by one Malgrey looked helplessly as he saw both Taf and May integrating his squad members into their schemes. After awhile even Cameron agreed after some encouraging words by Taf...
