Taf ended by saying as he continued to enjoy the meal that was left out on the table. From time to time, his hands would seemingly become heated as he attempted to warm the food.

Still standing, it was as though Malgrey for the first time was seeing a side he never knew Taf had. He was usually so overbearing and at times seemingly so carefree. Who knew he had these capabilities?

As Taf looked around, he noticed a window with broken glass all over its edges.

"Hmmm, that's a bit odd, was there information stating something , as trivial as, her window being broken?"

He inquired of Malgrey who was caught up in his thoughts...

" Aah!, from what I remembered there was no such report..."

Malgrey replied as he looked forward to what this new clue would unravel...

"Interesting, it then stands to reason that this window was shattered during his surveillance of Kathy's home.  This begs the question why was it broken."

Taf stood up and made his way over to the window. He took his sweet time to assess the damaged window — clearly eyeing  all its broken pieces...

His eyes then saw another window as his mind came to a conclusion, however, he needed to verify his theory.

" Squad Leader, do me a favour, smash that window by the sink from inside.

Then proceed outside doing the same to the other in the dining room.

Our dear departed Kathy won't be that upset with us causing a mess, well I certainly hope she isn't."

Taf requested. Though Malgrey found it odd, he didn't bother asking him for any reasons., after all, that Taf had disclosed until now, why would he start doubting his analytical mind now?

Malgrey then proceeded to do as Taf requested.

Clatter!! Clatter!!

The windows were smashed and the broken glass fell while Taf observed.

" Interesting, Now squad leader, what would you say is the main difference between the two smashed windows?

In particular, about the place where the shattered glass fell."

Hearing Taf's question, Malgrey took his time to identify the differences between the two...

"From what I can see, the kitchen window that was smashed from the inside, has most of its broken glass fall outside the house.

Contrary to this, most of the ones from the living area that were mashed from the outside, are now inside the house.."

Malgrey spoke of his finding to which Taf nodded in agreement.

" Yes, which of the two would you say best resembles our first broken window?"

Taf asked as he stood before the window mentioned.

" That would be the one smashed from the inside. Where the breakage littered the outside walls of the home."

After observing the details, Malgrey saw clues as to what Taf was suggesting.

"You're saying one of the two individuals broke the window from the inside intentionally?"

He went on to ask.

" Yes, this is indeed what I am insinuating.

Outside if you paid keen attention, you would have noticed this window has a direct line of sight to one of our deceased members —Karr.

Don't you find that odd?"

Hearing Taf words, Malgrey came to the window and observed this was indeed the case.

Outside he saw Malnor standing close to where Karr had been conducting his surveillance.

" What are you suggesting?" Malgrey then asked.

"Earlier, I had entertained the idea that Karr had been caught off guard by his attacker.

However, the more I tried to find clues to back up my theory, the more it seemed implausible.

What if this was not a sneak attack and a  direct frontal one?

However, if he saw the attack, why did he not dodge?

From this distance, it does seem an easy feat for an 8th stage cultivator to avoid an attack. Especially one from a spear.."

Taf paced around as every time he felt he got closer, the further back he went.

Seeing this, Malgrey didn't say anything, allowing him to work it out within his mind...

" No, Karr would definitely be able to avoid a spear.

Also, the trajectory is completely off, there is no way from this angle that would have been the result.."

Taf sighed again as he went once more to have a seat at the dining table where he still had a view of the outside.

He saw both Malnor and Ava making their way inside.

" Why is it I feel the weapon used was not a spear?"

As he spoke, he once more summoned the 2-inch iron from his space's storage and placed it in his palm.

" What am I missing?"

While Taf was in his thoughts both Malnor and Ava came inside.

At the table, they saw Taf with a piece of iron in his hand.

Meanwhile, Malgrey seemed as though he was curiously awaiting something.

"Dare I ask if you found anything of worth?"

Ava asked as she walked around the home. In her words, it was as though her words were a mere formality, not expecting much of response.

Hearing the tone in her voice, Malgrey took his attention away from Taf before he addressed the two...

" Well, actually quite a lot.."

He responded, to be honest, he wasn't particularly happy Ava had interrupted him as he awaited Taf's conclusion of his findings.

" Really?  Did you? When we came in there wasn't much discovered. Find authorized novels in Webnovel, faster updates, better experience,Please click www.webnovel.com for visiting.

So don't keep us waiting, tell us your findings.."

Malnor hurried as he was quite surprised hearing Malgrey words. To be honest even Ava was the same.

Though she waited even more for Malgrey to make a fool of himself with his assumptions. Malgrey knew this but he gave it no thought.

He went over in detail of all that Taf had disclosed. His conclusions and all clues that pointed this was actually the case.

With each word spoken, the two of them became drawn in and indeed every detail seemed plausible.

As Malgrey spoke even Ava began to have a change of heart, as she felt her initial thoughts were indeed off base.

There was no seeming flaw in his arguments and when they did bring up a flaw he would provide a counter-argument that would disperse them.

"Guess I was wrong about this fellow and he is more capable than I thought. The clues were there, however, what we saw as immaterial, he saw as necessary details in acquiring answers. This is quite impressive"

She thought as she looked at Malgrey in a new light. So too did Malnor as he patted Malgrey on the shoulder.

It can be said Malgrey did feel quite good seeing the admiration and acceptance in their eyes.

However, he knew he hadn't as of yet warranted this, Maybe in the future but this was not his moment.

' I wasn't the one who discovered all of this, It was Taf."

He then set them straight as they looked on in shock as Taf sat in his seat with the iron in his hand.

"You're telling me then was all these discoveries were made by a teen."

Ava seemingly didn't believe Malgrey as she instinctively shouted. Malnor was silent as he went over everything in his head from he met Taf until now.

His manipulative capabilities when he turned every single member of the crowd who was against him in a manner of minutes. It made sense this too was an aspect of his abilities.

" Well, there were two of us in the house. It wasn't me, so who else could it be, Ava?"

Malgrey replied as he finally found a petty way to relieve his frustration on this woman.

While the two looked on in bewilderment, Taf contemplated a few things in his mind. He couldn't care less what others thought of him at this moment...

"What am I missing?"

He asked himself as he started to rub the iron between his thumb and index finger.

He then looked out to the window and then a thought struck him like a lightning bolt.

"It all makes sense, that's why the trajectory was off, the assailant was in a sitting position. More accurately he sat right at this chair.

However, it definitely wasn't a spear as that would be impossible to throw from this angle. What is this then..?"

As he played with the iron in his hands he noticed a picture that hung from the walls. In it was Kathy and two individuals who were quite older. From all appearances, they looked to be her parents.

Holding the picture in place was a piece of iron embedded in the wall. Taf eyes shifted from it before he hurriedly looked at it once again.

He then looked at what he had been playing within hands and they had some striking resemblance in structural design. Then he could only laugh in his head...

"You have got to be kidding me, A nail?

The old man would surely smack me in my head for my seeming incompetence. So Karr was killed by a nail.

However, how could someone use a nail to kill another from this distance? It would have to be fired at the speed of light and a force unparalleled to the victim.

As he spoke, Taf attempted different methods of discharging the nail from his hand until he found the one that seemed to fit perfectly. Putting his fingertips at the base then flicking the nail.

Obviously, the assailant and Karr had quite a difference in strength. Hmm, could it be the work of a 9th stage cultivator?

By the brain marrow found on the tip of the nail embedded in the pavement, the nail seemed to have ripped through his skull.

Even my attempts at pulling it out at normal strength were fruitless.

Which ninth stage cultivator could make me work so hard for something so minuscule?

So if option A and B aren't adding up. Well, that leaves option C, the road yet to be traversed.

So a new challenge awaits huh. This has become boring — contesting against the weak, my drive has almost become zero. Will you provide the thrill I seek to replenish these rustic bones?

If so be the case, I look forward to our meet and greet. I just hope you're worth my intrigue, Those of The realm of Lords."

?Thus ends the Mouse's investigation?
