Haha!

" I see I have come across another man of culture. A man who somewhat understands not all things need to be resolved with violence."

From the direction that was devoid of movements a mere few seconds prior, Drax came out with three others at the ninth stage.

He and his men had been watching the whole ordeal from the sidelines while assessing their opponent.

You could understand their shock when they saw it was only one individual and not a squad.

Their previous intel disclosed the arrival of three squads from the Dark Abylis Sect. He knew two were currently engaged in battle with both Sarabi and Vulture, which was their desired goal.

However, Drax did not understand why this youth was by his lonesome and more importantly, how the hell was he this strong?

There and then he assumed just as the bandits prior that he indeed was an older man and not the teen he appears.

From his strength, He figured if they were to battle it would be a tough one but this was only one person.

Though this adversary was skilled he had quite the numeric advantage with four ninth stage cultivators and felt killing him was inevitable.

Yet, Drax feared he might lose one or two of his men. Not that he cared for them personally but he had pumped a lot of resources on these three to reach this stage.

What a waste if they were to croak before he finally got his returns. No, that would not do...

Then he saw something that made him smile and that big brain of his which always churned ideas saw a fitting resolution.

Taf viewed the four led by Drax who was huge in every way, wide and tall, legs as big as an adult's waist. There was something off about this man but for the moment he figured why not play along.

He then nonchalantly replied,

" Oh, so similar to your little bandit friends you'll pay your reparations?"

Haha!

" Personally I would not phrase it as such. It's more of a fund passed from one like-minded individual to the next."

Drax responded by saying with a pleasant smile on his chubby face.

He then threw a pouch in the direction of Taf. There was a slight twinkle in his eyes as he saw Taf attempting to grab it..

Suddenly four large iron cubes appeared before Taf a mere three-inch away..

"Explode!!!!" Drax yelled.

Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom!

Like a chain reaction, one after the other the cubes combusted before Taf. Everything within a hundred meters was now a huge crater even erasing the previous one created by Taf.

Even Taf himself couldn't be seen anywhere.

" Got ya, ya bastard!

No one attempts to extort this swine and due to this, look how fucked up your death was!"

Drax yelled at the crater as his belly jiggled in his excited state.

"Is that so?"

A chilly voice caused him and the other four to be frozen in shock ripped out of their seemingly good mood.

"I wouldn't have done that if I were you. See, you had a good plan but very poor execution. Now the only compensation I'll accept is your life.

You want your enemies dead I'll show you how it's done." Taf's voice echoed before a...

Whack!

Out of nowhere, his long hammer smashed across the face of Drax's underling. Such was the force of the hit that the man's neck was twisted around to his back with blood gushing through all orifices.

Swoosh!

He flew at the least 500 meters smashing through a tree. Dead no different from an animal carcass lying in the jungle with vultures picking at it.

"How the hell are you not dead!  No one should be able to survive that."

Drax finally got a few words out after being caught speechless. He had thought the perfect plan. Since this man loved remunerations so much he would play his cards right.

Offer him some compensation and when he had him unawares summon the four cubes of explosives and then detonating them simultaneously.

Who could escape an explosion of such magnitude? At the very least that was what he assumed before seeing Taf with not even a scratch on his body.

Little did he know Taf all along had seen through his ruse. Why would four ninth stage cultivators, mercenaries nonetheless, offer him a pouch of valuables when he obviously was only one man.

He was sure they were watching him previously when confronting the bandits.

However, what he did most peak ninth stage cultivators could. Wouldn't he be an idiot to think there were such kind individuals in the world, worse, Mercenaries?

Through the activation of his darkness art, he then substituted himself with a clone made of shadows which changes are undiscernable from the naked eyes.

Though as of yet it couldn't be used for attacks. It was quite effective as a means of distraction. He then waited for Drax to show his hand and as expected he did.

Taf didn't supply Drax with an answer as he pointed his hammer at the remaining three including Drax. One after the other like a game,

" Now who will be the one that joins that fellow in the afterlife, next? Will it be you chubby or your little minions. I'll give you the option to choose the order, take it as a courtesy."

The three looked at each other before they coldly gazed at Taf.

" A sneak attack and you're apparently invincible. Whichever one of you gives the killing blows will be handsomely rewarded."

Drax spoke some inspiring words to his men however he ensured to tactical place himself to the back.

Swish!

The three surrounded Taf. One of the men had a saber in his hand that was set ablaze in yellow flames and so too did the other man under ninth stage Drax's command, oddly he had an unusual purple flame.

Their leader Drax had a big broad sword similar to the one carried by Niesha, however, his dwarfed hers in size by a significant margin.

It also seemed fitter for a man of his ginormous stature than Niesha who was quite petite.  Drax then set his broad sword ablaze in another peculiar shade for a flame that was black.

Taf had never seen such flames and became quite curious as to their origins but he put that aside as the three simultaneously charged.

" Now this I have longed for. How about I make it interesting? An all-out melee with fire." He grinned before calling out in his mind..

?Elemental Art (Fire) Embodiment?

His long hammer ignited into red torrents flames that made a sizzling sound every time a droplet of rain touched it.

In unison, Drax and his men launched relenting attacks all aimed at Taf who weaved through them with accuracy and precision.

Soon his eyes lit up when he saw an opening in one of the men's defense.

" Too slow that means you die!"

Whop!

The hammer smashed his chest plate shattering all his internal organs with the impact. Looking at this chest it was parched black and sunken in with an indentation of Taf's hammer.

He too like his previous comrade was sent flying in the distance, dead.

" Guess that leave two, huh?" Taf smirked as he once more lifted his hammer.

His action caused the last of Drax's men to pause in his movements as a slight fear overtook his body. How sad that this too was a huge mistake.

" I call this one..,

Up, up and away with a black crisp." Taf uttered before...

Whack!!!

Like a golfer with his club in mid-swing, he then smashed the man in his groin sending flying upwards into the sky. Find authorized novels in Webnovel, faster updates, better experience,Please click www.webnovel.com for visiting.

If anyone was to dare utter the words pain to this man he would say at that moment, he was the embodiment of the very word as he started to lose consciousness. Thinking it could be no worse.

It's unfortunate that he didn't know that whatever pain he thought he was enduring now, was but a nice summer's day compared to what Taf had in store for him next.

Taf then launched himself in the air as he took a second to inhale while his body expanding and with perfect timing awaited the man's descent at the right altitude.

?Elemental Art (Fire) Breath of life?

Puuuuff!

Taf exhaled as torrent flames roasted him alive while he screamed..

Plop!

The charcoal black corpse hit the ground like a hollow old log.

Drax saw all two of his men die. However, It wasn't that he didn't want to join in previously but it happened so quickly that he couldn't react.

He hadn't seen such viciousness matched with precision in a very long time and that was done by an old monster in his prime.

" That makes the fourth human I've ever had to kill and you chubs will be the fifth." Taf's words startled Drax.

Fifth, which old monster would be that saintly, much less this savage fiend. He then thought maybe he had it wrong all along and this wasn't an old monster.

However, that would mean the unthinkable and before him was actually a teen as he appears.

To be continued...
