As Darwin cried to the heavens for his vengeance to be met he felt a gaze. When he instinctive returned the stare he saw a smiling Taf waving his hand greeting in his direction.

The hate in Darwin's heart overflowed with each second he saw the one who tore what was most precious apart from him. Seeing his current state Taf right there and then discerned what had taken place in the last few days.

Without any seeming remorse, A smile grew on Taf's face before he then mouthed evilly,

"My condolences."

He chuckled which caused Darwin to only see red.

Though lacking his usual sanity Darwin fought with every ounce of will power to regain his composure.

After which he sent a gesture in kind. He ran a finger across his throat indicating to Taf he was a dead man walking.

With his perversion, however, Darwin could not help but notice the young exotic innocent girl who held Taf's hand. He licked his lips as now Darwin saw his true means for revenge. Perhaps killing his enemy too quickly was indeed kind and an unworthy dead.

Before sending him off into oblivion he would let this mouse see a sight that would only make his heart beg for death. He lustfully looked at May but when she returned his gaze Darwin felt a chill run down his spine.

Her eyes were cold and commanding. Yet this only sought to make him feel even the more invigorated. Shortly he heard in his ear,

"Why not attack him while he is in our sights?"

A bandaged Doan who along with the rest of squad Darwin remained in the backdrop, now questioned as he saw Taf taunting in the distance.

He hated this youth similarly to his squad captain but what alarmed him was this was the first time he had ever seen Darwin in this state.

No one had ever gotten under his boss's skin as this youth currently accomplished.

He incessantly inquired as to the reason behind this newfound hatred yet nothing conclusive was said by Darwin. All he received was the repeated phrase,

"I must slaughter him for what he has done."

Yet Doan would not complain as this suited him quite well. With the amount of blood he previously lost he could have died if not for the quick actions of his squadmates.

He loathed this vicious youth but after being bested Doan knew revenge was not on the cards by his lonesome.

Now with the backing of his squad captain Darwin revenge was but a certainty.

"No, not yet, I want to relish this hunt. I crave for him to feel the dread of the chase. Agonizing as I stalk and rid him of everything which he deems makes him a man.

Only after I rid him of his pride and all he holds dare. Then, and only then, will I give him the sweet relief of death."

Darwin coldly uttered and with every word spoken each member of his squad felt the deep hatred he had for the one who calls himself Sir Mouse.

Taf seeing the group of five nevertheless kept smiling. Let's just say he knew the means to truly cause your enemies' pain is to smile in the face of danger. He then spoke to Cameron, Luke, and Lovren,

"It's time for us to leave. For the time being, perhaps staying among the masses is the safest thing to that you all can do."

This he suggesting seeing the scattering of elders around. Taf doubted Darwin even cared to attack the three but still he would not put anything past a deranged being.

He knew Darwin wanted to cause him pain and would do anything to accomplish this.

His friends then looked in the distance and the blood lust was palpable. They wondered what could Taf have done to Darwin to cause this much wrath. Surely it couldn't be that simple scuffle he had with Doan a week prior? Seems Taf did something even more vile. Is this guy not happy unless he causes the world to burn?

Soon both May and Taf had made their way towards the forest. Yet they found the crowds increasing by the second. All excitedly now found their voices as they discussed what they previously witnessed.

Their enthusiasm increased once more because it was now time for the true elites to entered the forest. Even Taf's previous fame became dimmed as not many cared for Sir Mouse at the juncture.

"This Niesha is currently in deep trouble. All the elites will now surely target her with those enticing 6000 marker points."

A ninth stage cultivator who had been previously eliminated stated to his companions.

"Yes, she certainly is in trouble. At first, I thought the elites were at a disadvantage but now I see this isn't the case." His female squad captain responded also being previously eliminated.

"What do you mean?" Another of the group curiously inquired.

"It's simple as now there is only a need to hunt those currently at the topmost part of the rankings. They now know their targets while those inside are unaware of the rankings.

That is why Niesha would be the one hunted the most. If someone were to defeat her after which they gathered her marker points. Without a doubt, they would automatically gain the lead.

This might be temporary but its advantages are quite obvious." Their squad captain advised.

While the gathered groups discussed among themselves the elites one by one were greeted by screams of their adoring fan. It was as though arriving within the top one hundred gave one the privilege of immediate celebrity status.

With each that showed there were excited outbursts,

"It's the number 18th Carvalho!"

A young girl screamed as a man wore a smug look on his face. He like his other counterparts looked expectantly on the board before smiling when seeing Niesha's points in the top position.

"Let's make haste before the others get to her," Carvalho commanded his squad as all five disappeared into the forest.

For all the elites there was only one goal. It was simply arriving within the top ten. Previously most had no chance but with this new system in place strength did not necessarily guarantee a top position.

Similar to Carvalho most of the elites plunged into the forest as they knew there was only an hour to gathering an appropriate amount of marker point. After all, the 30% elimination was still in effect.

As time went on the onlookers realized though a majority of elites had entered still the top ten were yet to show. Perhaps even at this juncture, they thought it beneath them to enter.

Taf and May did not join this list however as they quietly collected their markers. In some ways, Taf was quite happy he was once more another shirt in the masses. After the couple collected their markers they made their way to one of the hundreds of entrances.

Sensing a prying gaze Taf once more saw Darwin and his squad. They stalked him and May but still, Taf only smiled. In his mind, he thought,

'The time is not right as of yet. So I'll give you a few more hours of life. I have faith you will at least survive until the night."

May to his side had a hint of his thoughts. Knowing though she was eager to gain justice for Lisa and all Darwin's previous victims, she had to coincide with Taf's plans.

"Let's go." Taf nodded to May as the two with a burst of speed shot into the forest. Their stalker Darwin only laughed when seeing their action.

"They're getting away! Doan shouted as he saw the two's attempts to flee.

"It's ok Doan. With this youth's temperament, he is bound to cause trouble wherever he goes. Let him have his fun while it lasts. This will be our parting gift."

As he spoke Doan face deformed into a sinister grin. He cares not one bit for the consequences of his future actions.

Only a never-ending thirst for blood fueled his being. It needs quenching and today it would be filled like a cup overflowing.
