Tang shouted, "can you hear me? It seems that I am in a dark place, almost like a box. Where the hell has the author sent me?"

"Think about it. She drew this whole London arc for whom? Neither you nor I had any connection to the place. She was making way for the new guy," Wei said, as if he had thought about the matter in depth.
"Wei, listen to me. We can't let it happen. It's fine as long as the rivalry is between us two. We have known and loved Jia Li long enough. But how can I tolerate if that rookie comes and sweeps my gorgeous woman away?" Tang was sounding anguished.
Wei replied in a hurt voice, "and what exactly do you think you or I can do about it, even if this is what the author has planned. You seem to have been dumped in some far off place. And me… the wicked author threw me off the lovely waterbus which I had hired to propose to Jia Li, in."
Tang nearly shouted, "proposed? How dare you? Ehm… that, I mean, never mind. We shall talk about it later. For now, I need to get out of this place. I am still figuring it out."
"How exactly am I supposed to help you with that," Wei asked, miffed with his earlier reaction.
"Oh, you can really be so slow at times. No wonder, the author had to bring a more intelligent competitor for me in the form of Ying Hui," Tang said, sarcastically.
"Is it so? Then I suggest you go and ask him only to help you. I am going back to China," Wei threatened him.
Tang was trying to sound confident in front of Wang Wei but in actuality, he was covering up his fear at being pushed out of the scene at a crucial juncture. He thought that Jia Li was going to belong to him any moment now and suddenly, he was nowhere!
"No, no. What we need at this moment is your legendary charm, the one which makes girls from the age of 16 to 60 fall for you," Tang cajoled him.
"Go on, I am listening," Wei replied, reluctantly.
"I need you to reach out to your support group – Princess September, Divaity, Riddhi, Manisha and others. Then also try and engage into a conversation with my girls, err, I mean my dear friends – SYW, 8744*, KM60, Aubami, Agarsums, Rajashree, well, my list is endless, but you get what I mean," Tang said with a mischievous grin.
"Wait a minute. Since when did KM60 belong to you? She is mine," Wei argued hotly.
"Oh!! You are missing the point. Basically, I want you to get these women to put pressure on the author. That is the only way that we could be saved. Though it might be difficult for you to convince my dear girls that you are speaking on my behalf. That's cos, they don't like you or trust you much, but ahem, we have no choice but to work with each other," Tang said with a smile.
"If I were you, I wouldn't sound so cocky," a voice rang out, loud enough for both Tang and Wei to hear.
"Mr. Wang, I think the author has a surprise planned for you. You may want to discover that before joining hands with the enemy. As for you, Mr. Tang, I believe, the saying goes – never underestimate the enemy!" Hui had entered the arena, quietly.
Wei pondered over the man's words. More than being curious about what surprise, he was thinking about how did Hui know that there is a surprise for him. Has the author really confided into Hui? Noooo, she would never do that.
Tang sat back, miserable and insecure, "the author CANNOT separate Jia Li from me. She is only mine. Just you wait and see author. I will come and trouble you in your dreams."
Of course, unknown to all of them, Author has her plans. Let the boys squabble!!!
