"Where is she! If you can't find her, you better find another job!" Ethan roared at his men when he receive the reports that they cannot find Stacie. It's been three days now but they can't locate her whereabouts. His office is a mess; papers were scattered everywhere. No one dares to speak up not even his secretary. Everyone in the room is terrified.no one dares to look at their CEO's eyes. They know that a word can cost them their jobs.
Three days ago, Ethan ordered a thorough search for Stacie since she's been missing for four days now.
Four days ago, Stacie talked to Ethan that she wanted to divorce him. Ethan was surprised. Although Ethan didn't show it much but he doesn't want to lose Stacie. No, Not yet, not even now. Ethan objected that's why Stacie left his office furiously. They've been married for 4 years now and they have a son name Eli who just turned 4 years old last month.
"If you can't deliver your daughter to me tomorrow, forget about my investments in your company! And I will make sure to sue you for defying our contract agreement!" Ethan furiously throw his phone after talking to his father-in-law. He called Stacie's father assuming that he knew where his daughter is since there was a report that they met the day before she disappeared.
"damn!" Ethan looks extremely disturb. Even if their marriage was just a part of a contract deal, he treated Stacie a little special knowing that she was the little girl who saved him from drowning when he was in the orphanage. His father-in-law said that Stacie suffered from mild amnesia when she fell from a tall tree while playing with the other kids in the orphanage. That's why most of the time,she cannot remember some things about her childhood. All she got was a solo picture of her with a book in her hand while leaning on a tree. Of course Ethan remembers her very well. She was his very best friend. He cared for her even when stacie have forgotten about him.
Ethan drives his black Bugatti on his way home. it's already past seven in the evening and Eli is surely waiting for his return. he doesn't know how to tell Eli about her mother's sudden disappearance. What Eli knew was that her mother is in a business trip so it will take some days or possibly weeks to come home. Eli seemed to understand.
'good evening Mr. Ethan, Eli is already in his room, he fell asleep while waiting for you'. It was butler Jaime who served them almost half of his lifetime.
'thanks Jaime, I'll go see him now'. Butler Jaime saw how tired Ethan is. The dark circles in Ethan's eyes are visible as a result of his sleepless night searching for Stacie.
'you should also give yourself a break Sir Ethan. I believe you'll find Miss Stacie sooner or later'.
'thank you Jaime. I'll go first then'.
Ethan lay on his king sized bed after he visited Eli in his room. He tried to sleep but seems like sleep left him too when his house phone ring.
'did you find anything?' he answered.
'Sir, I got some reports just now. It's your wife stacy.' The man on the other line reported.
'Send them to me this instant!'
'Yes Sir!'
After a minute, Ethan received the pictures that was fax to him. It was Stacie with a man. He cannot recognize the man because his back is blocking the camera. But one can see Stacie smiling seductively. Ethan laughed like a madman.
'So you're still into your old business after all huh… let's see. I won't play dumb anymore. You want Divorce? I'll give you what you want!' Ethan leered. "you've grown up to be another person. you're not the same child anymore".. Ethan got lost in his thoughts.
This is not the first time Stacie did something like this. She was in the spotlight three years ago because of the widespread gossip that she was dating the son of an ex-military captain. Stacie denied it when Ethan confronted her. Since it was the first time, he didn't push it further. But another news sprung out about him dating a famous celebrity. She was even ridiculed by most people when they learnt that she was infertile. To avoid more topics about her barrenness, they agreed to have a surrogate mother. 'Attorney, I need you to prepare all the documents regarding the contracts that we had with the Hertiz. Make sure to include all the penalties as well. I want it done as soon as possible''. Ethan dropped the call as soon as he received a confirmation from his lawyer. This time He will make sure that the Hertiz will suffer a great loss for what they're daughter did to him.
