Demetrius' consultation with the clients at the central city was a bit chaotic. They were blaming him for the poor service that they've received for the past two months. The items that they've been receiving since two months ago were unusable and now they've been losing a great amount of money.
Demetrius promised them a complete refund as soon as his done inspecting all the items that were delivered the past two months.
After a few weeks, with the help of Archie and his faithful men, they were able to wrap up the inspection. And true enough, the stuffs that had been delivered were of low quality. It was not the same quality as before.
He entered his house with a heavy head. Ah! How did these things happen without his knowledge? Someone must have been working behind his back.
"Rio, are you okay?" Archie asked when he noticed Rio caressing his brow.
"Ah, I'm just tired. I think I need to rest." Rio stride the staircase to his room but before he even reached the door, he fainted.
"Rio!" Archie cried when he heard a loud thud. It must be his adrenaline rush that made it possible for him to reach Rio in a second. "Call the doctor!" he ordered the men beside him.
One of the men called the doctor while the others helped Archie carried Rio in his room. And while waiting for the doctor, Archie called Aisha to let her know.
"What?! dad fainted?! How is he?" Aisha cried as soon as she heard her uncle Archie.
"The doctor is still on his way."
"I'll be right there!" Aisha uttered then she hung up.
Aisha was troubled as she prepares to go out. Once again, she called Sophie to watch over Eli and Sahaya again. this time, Yohann is playing with them too.
As soon as Sophie came, Aisha rushed to her car and drove off. She was worried for her father. Also, she doesn't know that Rio and Archie were in the Central State. Why didn't she know about it? She was in deep thought when her phone suddenly rings.
"Ethan…" She answered the call.
"Aisha where are you? I was wandering if you are free tonight." Ethan asked.
"I'm not sure though. I'm on my way to my father's house."
"Oh, Uncle Rio? Since when did they came?" Ethan was not aware too.
"I don't know either. I just received a call from uncle Archie that my dad fainted earlier." Ethan can hear worry in her voice.
"Why? are we going somewhere tonight?" she asked.
"Ehm. I'm supposed to ask you to be my date tonight since I received two tickets for the art symposium event." Ethan explained.
"Oh, I'll check my time, okay?" Aisha suddenly felt a pang of guilt.
"No, you don't have to. Anyway, it's not that important. Just be with Rio for now, okay?" Ethan obstructed.
"How about your date?"
"Ah nah, I can pick up any woman everywhere." Ethan chuckled on the other line.
"Go. But don't show them in front of me or else I will skin them alive!" she scoffed.
"Ha-ha! Don't worry, I'll make sure to hide them from you." he laughed teasingly.
"E T H A N!?" her voice hints a murderous tone.
"I'm just kidding! I love you, give my regards to Rio and Archie then." He smiled.
"I will. I love you more." She replied before the call got disconnected.
After a few minutes, Aisha reached her father's place. She got off and rushed upstairs. She hastily opened the door and saw her uncle Archie standing near the window while the doctor is checking Rio who was unconscious on the bed.
"How's my dad?" Aisha rushed to her father's side.
"His out of danger for now. But he must not stress himself further because it might trigger some complications, especially his heart." The doctor said.
"But why did he faint all of a sudden?" Aisha further.
"Over fatigue. He just need to rest for a couple of days." The doctor assured them.
"Thank you doctor." Aisha kowtowed.
The doctor prescribed some vitamins for Rio before he left. After a few minutes, Aisha and Archie went out to have a talk. They don't want to awaken Rio since he needs to rest for the meantime.
"Uncle Archie, I thought you went back to the North. Since when did you came back?" Aisha started as soon as they reach the veranda.
"It's almost a month now. I apologize for not calling you so soon but your father doesn't want to burden you so we kept it from you." Archie started explaining.
"Father doesn't want to burden me? what do you mean uncle?" Now she was curious. It looks like they got big problem.
Archie heaved a heavy sigh. "Rio will definitely get mad at me if he discovers that I told you about it but you need to know what's happening in the north."
"Please go on uncle, I'm listening." She inches closer.
"Aisha, your father had been working nonstop since we came here. He has little time for himself as well. When we went back to the North, there were some commotions inside the organization. Your father was able to fix that. However, we were notified about the uproars from our clients here in the central state." He paused.
"What is it?" she inquired. "it's about what?"
"We've been losing some clients here. I am not just talking about the central city, it's all around the central state. You should know that we have a lot of clients here. But a lot of them have severed their ties to us. But the worst ones were also starting abroad."
"But what happened?"
"They claimed that they've been losing so much money on all the products from us. According to them, the stuffs were of low quality and is unusable." Archie averted his gaze. "But we already visited our manufacturing sites and all the managers said that they were constantly producing the items from the same materials."
"Have you check them yourself?" Aisha creased a brow.
"Yep! We already checked the materials, nothing is wrong. we don't have a problem with the manufacturing sites but I think the problem is with the shipment."
"Did you verify the shipments data since the problem started?"
"We are trying to work on it but it will take us some time. but for now, Caleb is in the North secretly investigating the case."
"Did you mean he is a secret spy now? But why is it a secret? Does it mean that someone from the organization is trying to manipulate the business?"
Archie glanced at her seriously. So she was right. It must be an inside job! But who would dare to backstab Rio? That person got some nerves. Aisha scoffed.
Now she was thinking on how to help her father's business. But helping means less time with Eli and Ethan. She might also need to go back to the North to investigate further. They can't lose their faces from their clients. Her father had been trying to live a dignified life and she doesn't want to ruin Rio's name just because of these incident.
She averted her gaze. What will she do? will Ethan and Eli agree with her decision?
